You can have a delicious meal a la carte or the tasting menu. I could not convince my husband to do the 15 course chef's tasting menu. But we did do the tasting menu with wine. Every dish was light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed the wine pairings which were different (portuguese and spanish wines rounded out some American and South African wines). I am excited to come back to try more of their traditional menu and their namesake (fish and chips). Well worth a visit.“

I had mussels as an appetizer and some kind of chicken dish (basically chicken piccata) with risotto on the side. The mussels were amazing, and they had like a broth and toast on the side. I had in mind the chicken would be a little different, but my husband thought it was really good. The risotto was creamy and flavorful. I decided I needed a vegetable, so I ordered some broccoli. They cooked it butter with some garlic slivers, and that broccoli was just delicious. I was stuffed after that, and had that broccoli taste for a little while. Amazing.“

Breakfast was so good we called back after the match for dinner. Breaded mushrooms with horseradish sauce are great...and my friend loved his very tender shell/strip steak with an enormous onion ring and a side of mixed sweet potato fries and wedge fries. One of my frustrations was that the peppercorn sauce was an additional, based on other places this is something that is normally included or at least can be added, $6 for a cup of sauce was pretty higher, on the other note the sauce was very good The service was good, waitress was attentive as much as needed and not overwhelming or absent. The ambiance is an Irish bar, on one note I would have preferred some Irish music playing vs the 80s music that they had going or on the tvs the news and something bloody. Our waitress, Courtney, was incredible! She understands service. She was polite, very knowledgeable and engaging. She was also extremely efficient! The food was oh so good and the portions were huge. I felt greedy releasing the grip on my waist to eat it all up. But I couldn't. We had a 'to go' bag. Everything was excellent, the music, even the bathroom was clean and organized. Pizzas are OK, nothing spectacular. With my allium , allergies, I am not able to review all of the appetizers that were served but the wings looked spectacular. MENU: Three choices on our group menu: sliced steak, chicken marsala, or broiled salmon. The sides were rice or garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. The waitress was thorough and pleasant- she assured that my food did not have any garlic or onion products on it. The salmon was cooked perfectly - tender and moist with a generous portion a top amount of fresh green beans. My table mate was very pleased with her sliced steak Prepared to a perfect medium rare. THE SETTING: a log cabin, inside and out - cozy, moody atmosphere, with a casual vibe and bustling during the lunch hour. The menu is smallish but it covers enough options so a large group could find happy choices. I have eaten there four times and I have sampled most of the menu via my meals and sneaking a taste from others in my party. For me the downside to the food is the lack of the little details that takes a meal from "serviceably enjoyable" to genuinely tasty. Examples: Onions were not caramelized when requested. Cheesesteaks do not make it to both ends of the bread. When crispy fries were asked for they have not been delivered half the time. Little things. But they do make a difference. Luckily, they can be easily fixed. Regardless, it has a relaxed atmosphere and it serves great beer without pretentiousness.“
