“Sunrise Family Restaurant is hands down one of my favorite places to eat! I’ve been going there for a while now and it never disappoints. I like to call it a hidden treasure in the neighborhood. “Last night, for my birthday, we had what I have to call a perfect, and perfectly delicious meal. You can’t take a picture of an experience, but if there were a way, we would have tried. My fettuccine Bolognese was a detailed joy, yielding a world of varied delights in every bite. Even the radicchio and endive salad… one of those textured, flavorful events where you close your eyes and savor every each mouthful. I could go on and on… but I’m still busy savoring. The Atrium Room was absolutely lovely — filled with natural light, even on a cloudy day. The dinner was delicious, and the outdoor patio seating added a charming touch. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making the evening flow smoothly. I couldn’t have asked for a better setting locally to celebrate such a special milestone!“

“Finally made it to the new location today with hubby. We sat at the bar and spoke with John. I have to say what a beautiful place John has built here. Beers were cold and the burger was delicious. Spacious indoors and beautiful wrap around porch with seating. Definitely will be visiting again. Oh and plenty of parking. 🍻👏🍔“

“TLDR: Top tier brisket. Nearly as good as Texas brisket and certainly best I have had in New Jersey thus far. The hidden restaurant in the middle of a garden is so quaint and peaceful, I recommend going for lunch or a cozy dinner. View of the surrounding hills is also amazing.

Quality of Food: I had no complaints about the food. The garden salad was refreshing and did not lack in its flavor. The brisket was AMAZING. If you look at my other reviews, you will find I am originally from the south and have frequented a few BBQ places in New Jersey, all of which have fallen short of what I have come to find as quality BBQ. This. Did. Not. Disappoint. The brisket was slightly marbled and melted in your mouth. I can only imagine the quality of the Rib Steak if the brisket was top notch. The cornbread was the only thing I could say was standard taste and quality.

Quality of Service: It was neither over-the top nor mediocre service. Seemed like a decent amount of young adults were waiting on tables. We stopped in for a quick bite before heading to a festival, but we had no issues getting our order taken, food delivered and check processed quickly.

Environment & Ambiance: Can't be compared to the other locations at the resort. The garden by itself is adorable and makes you feel like you're in a storybook. Looking out towards the hills provides a feeling of awe. The outside ambiance and cute tables and chairs makes you feel like you're joining Alice at a tea party.

Pricing and Concerns: It's certainly not cheap if you are ordering their higher priced options. However, that being said, it is most definitely worth every penny. Not to mention you're at a resort, so what would you expect besides expensive dishes? For a party of two you can keep it under $$$. Add drinks or an extra person and you're going over. No other concerns to note.

“My fiancée and I came here for an impromptu date night and we were not disappointed. This area of Warwick is really cute and is home to a lot of good little shops and restaurants. I got the string bean special as an appetizer and the vegetarian pasta Santorini as my main dish. My fiancée got the calamari entree. We split the cheese board for two. Everything we had was phenomenal and the portions were a decent size. I definitely recommend this place and we will absolutely be back.“

“My wedding day was 10/05/2025 As a wedding photographer, I would say the view is perfect for the photo!!! We held our ceremony and cocktail hour in the large open mountain area surrounded by lush greenery—it was stunning. For the reception, the indoor barn provided a woody, cozy, and elegant atmosphere that felt both warm and refined. One of the biggest highlights was having the entire venue to ourselves for the whole day. Unlike other places, we didn’t have to share the space with other weddings, which made the experience feel very private and special. Everything was incredibly clean and well-maintained, especially the bathrooms (which were large and spotless!), and the private bridal suite was perfect for getting ready. The owner and staff are true professionals. The owner is an experienced chef, and you can really taste the difference with the farm-to-table menu. Everything was fresh, organic, and seasonal. Our guests haven't stopped raving about how terrific the food was! We also loved the tasting session before the wedding, which helped us feel confident in our choices. The managers guided us through every step, offering great suggestions and coordinating with our vendors (who they have great partnerships with—no pressure to buy!). I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Crystal Springs Resort, and a big part of that was thanks to Miss Barbie. She was an outstanding waitress with an amazing personality, a warm smile, and exceptional customer service skills. From the moment we were seated, she was attentive, professional, and made sure every detail was taken care of.

What impressed me most was how attentive she was not only to me, but also to my family and the children in our group. She made everyone feel comfortable, welcomed, and well cared for throughout our visit. Her patience, kindness, and genuine concern for our needs did not go unnoticed.

Miss Barbie had everything on point—from checking on our table regularly to making sure our food, drinks, and overall dining experience were enjoyable and stress-free. Her positive attitude and friendly demeanor truly stood out and made our visit even more special.

Crystal Springs Resort is fortunate to have someone like Miss Barbie on their team. She definitely deserves a 5-star rating and has become my favorite waitress. I look forward to returning and hope to be served by her again. Thank you, Miss Barbie, for making our visit so memorable!

“Had dinner there last night. Service was great with special notice to out server Denise. Tipped her accordingly. Other staff removed used dishes in a timely manner. Meals arrived hot and portion size was perfect. This was our 4 visit to them and always had great dinning,“

“Last night we did the 7-course chef’s tasting menu with wine pairing at Restaurant Latour at Crystal Springs Resort. In my opinion, this is easily one of the best restaurants in Sussex County.

The wine pairings were very well done and thoughtfully matched to each course. You could tell a lot of effort went into balancing the flavors and overall experience. Some dishes were outstanding and really memorable, while others were good but did not have the same wow factor.

You can definitely see that the restaurant is striving for a Michelin-level dining experience. The presentation, creativity, and overall atmosphere are there, although there are still some areas that could be elevated further.

The setting was beautiful, especially watching the sunset during dinner. Pricing was about what you would expect for this type of experience.

The biggest thing holding the evening back was service staffing. The staff was polite and professional, but the dining room felt understaffed at times, which created gaps in service that took away from the overall flow of the evening.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end dining experience in Sussex County.“

“A Great night at the Cove Castle last night. My girlfriend and I attended the History of Greenwood Lake event at the Cove and it was very enjoyable. Bob, Andrea, Chuck and the entire crew made the experience exceptional. The setting and view of the lake from the second floor dinning room was beautiful. The food was delicious and the presentation was excellent. Drinks were large and reasonably priced. In Bob's 5 years at the Cove Castle he has transformed the place into a fine place to dine, drink and enjoy top notch entertainment. Can't wait to return to "The place to go" on Greenwood Lake.“

Stephany, Heather, took such good care of me - made sure I knew the specials , that I approved the wine recommendation which had notes of everything I like, the doorman called me madam, the food runner was efficient 😄 it felt like I stepped into a scenic villa of a Bond movie! The quiet, romantic atmosphere of the tavern was perfect for my evening reading, taking my time with my meal and wine. The steak was melt-in-your-mouth-savoriness but I have take a moment for the dessert .

I'm originally born and raised in Oregon. Apple picking, canning is a part of the regional culture and it puts you in the Autumn spirit. I HAVE NEVER seen or experienced a dessert like this - the attention to detail, realism so much that it looked untouchable, nostalgic feel, touch of crispy pumpkin nuttiness to offer a different layer, THE PIE CUSTARD FILLING and mousse! I giggled to myself as I ate it, thankful that it wasn't an ordinary apple pie because I felt transported back to my childhood. It was FABULOUS. Ortez or Obec, please forgive me for forgetting the chefs name. Thank you thank you thank you for your artistry and expertise.

“We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon and we were one of two customers in the restaurant. We waited at least 45 minutes for our meal. We didn’t complain because we were having a nice leisurely day apple picking. The food finally arrived my beans were watery as if they were cooked in water with no seasoning. OK I let it go because if the beans were the only thing wrong with the meal that’s not bad right. My husband got to the second half of his brisket sandwich and the brisket was petrified (Not my word I got it from another reviewer were but it fits perfectly). At this point we obviously mentioned some thing to our waitress. She agreed that the meat was not OK and said she would contact her manager who is not on location. She then came back and said the owner Laura who is the manager too who she called said she would give us 10% off. My husband was blown away by this response. He said it was a smack in the face which I completely agree. I then proceeded to add on all the rest of the issues we had that we did not say a word about at first. After the real issue that we wanted resolution from this is how they handled it? Are you kidding? Wait get ready for the best part. The bill came and they took 10% off of my husband‘s meal we got $1.60 off!!! Can you actually believe it? This restaurant is managed poorly and should go out of business. We spent $150 on a terrible lunch.“
