“We hosted an intimate wedding celebration in the elegant party room at Jean-Jacques. It was a joy to work with Donna Sullivan, who handles functions. She provided us with expert guidance in choosing the menu and every other detail. The room looked gorgeous, the food was exquisite and our guests were well cared for by Donna and the other servers. We received so many compliments from the attendees who remarked that they had a wonderful time and that the food was delicious. The bride and groom, and all of their friends and family, enjoyed themselves immensely and were able to meet, connect and have conversation in an elegant atmosphere. The party room is indeed a hidden gem at this premiere bakery and cafe in Pleasantville. My husband and I are not from the area and had never been to Jean-Jacques, but I contacted Jean-Jacques at the recommendation of a family member and couldn’t have been more pleased. It was exactly what we wanted. We had ample room for 40 guests and a jazz piano player. From the appetizers, Bellinis, Prosecco, wine and other beverages, to the sumptuous gourmet buffet dinner to the most delicious celebratory cake, everything was PERFECT. The chicken sandwich lunch special at Cafe Deux is amazing. I ordered the sandwich twice this week on wednesday and again on friday as it was that good !!! Parking is nearby and convenient and inexpensive.“

At one point, one in our party wanted coffee, so we decided to look around for a place for coffee, and found Cafe Nico's. The cappuccino was delicious, and I also had a flaky pastry filled with a vanilla custard sauce. Since the cafe is Italian, I cannot refer to it as a croissant. This is one of the few places that is cash only. I look forward to returning, the first chance I can.“
