Every single bite bursts with flavor! • 🥝 Kiwi Mojito 🍲 Calldo Gallego 🐑 Lamb Skewers 🦞 Tres Colas 🦐 Empanadas 🥩 Angus Beef Croquettes 🥩 Churrasco Bravo • I wish we had room for more because every single item was great and the deserts looked amazing, we just physically could not eat anymore! 😂 The vibes were great. Everything is great, but go for the recommendation of the owner when you order your tapas. Get a pitcher of sangria, it's authentic not too sweet.

The owner gives a personal treatment and the place is not big and fills up quickly. There is hardly a chance for a walk-in. Reserve your spot ahead of time, it's worth it!“

“So for a long time i had no idea this place was so close to me, i used to order my spanish food from Mi Casa on 117th and Jamaica ave, but they wound up shutting down and reopened under new management. After searching and realizing El Rey is 8 blocks away i stopped in and decided to give them a try, i am certainly thankful i did, the food is seasoned just right without being to strong, the service was very fast and courteous, and not to mention the prices are great . i usually order the roast pork(Pernil) with white rice and beans on the side with an order of sweet plantains , and it would cost me almost 40$ at the old place i ordered from , this order was half the price i paid and was so delicious, they have a great selection , and the staff is great , even the delivery is pretty fast i only suggest confirming the address before hanging up, as they had my address wrong and my delivery took 45minutes, once it was corrected i get
my deliveries in about 15 minutes!!! hope you enjoy as much as i have , this is my new go to spot!!!!“

This place is way better than your standard deli, maybe a dozen hot and delicious steam tray options that all sound delicious, I personally went with the oxtail. Food was so tasty especially with their house made hot sauce, and at a very fair price. The fellas behind the counter were also very kind and good talking to. “This place was a godsend when I had a multi-hour layover in JFK after a long international flight early in the morning; it's very easy to get to by AirTrain and saves you from paying airport prices for the McDonald's breakfast menu when you're still on Asian time and in the mood for dinner - in fact it's cheaper than McDonalds' off-airport prices these days. The staff spoke English and were willing to explain what things were; I had a nice cup of coffee, some tasty empanadas and a fried croquette filled with minced shredded chicken and vegetables. It is a great choice for anybody that has a lengthy layover in JFK during a meal time, especially if you need to change terminals and leave the secured area anyway.“

My mom and I were impressed by how fresh and homemade the meals were ( We got the Jalea and Pollo a la brasa! ) even the drinks!
