“We have been eating at Main Street for years making a point to eat there almost every trip we make up to the Lake George area. They have the best sandwiches. Their sides are always delicious and you can’t beat their milkshakes. We recommend this wonderful place to all our friends who are never disappointed.”

“Super good, on the way back, from lake George, small place in the middle of nowhere had amazing food and to order take out! Breakfast sandwich was 10/10 and I had steak, egg and horseradish sauce def amazing. Tons of stuff in the store very unique and I'll definitely be back and telling everyone.”

Split the wings, soup, salmon BLT and brownie sundae for dessert. Already planning a stay in March, with definite plans to dine here agin! Kelley, our server, is top notch!”

“We had another nice visit & dinner here on Wed July 5, 2023. Our party of 4 was seated promptly. Open Wed-Sun 4-9pm. They don't take reservations but have a bar & deck to enjoy a drink while you wait for a table. Always busy here in the summer months. The waitress (Calvert?) brought the menus, told us the specials & took our drink orders. Our meals were:hot spinach salad w/ grilled chicken ($14), the special-cedar plank broiled salmon w/rice & slaw ($21), chicken w/spaghetti ($17), & NY sirloin w/ potato & veg ($22). Wait was 30 minutes on a very busy 4th of July vacation week. No problem for us. All meal were per order, hot, and generous. OP's is always consistent with the dinners. “The food was very good. My wife had the chicken marsala and I tried the liver and onions. The liver brought back memories of the way my mother used to make it 50 years ago. The portions were adequate and well presented. The service was exceptional and the staff made us feel as if we were home. Randi, our bar maid was fantastic. We will be back and often.”

“I first remember our family ordering Alpine Pizza as a kid about 25 years ago. Coming back as an adult, I am thrilled to see it was still there and I finally got to try the legendary garbage bread we always ordered at Wood's Lodge! The smell is just the same and this lovely place managed to exceed my expectations in quality and service. I am so happy I got to eat here. I also enjoyed talking to the crew about the years that have passed in Schroon lake and hope the tradition will live on for another 25 years!”
