“One of the best kept secrets on Purchase college campus! The bragels were fresh, the bite was bouncy, the toast had crunch. This is the perfect bagel--bounce to the crunch! The staff who was working today 11/28/23 should be commended. They were helpful and welcoming and made my day brighter. I got the hot daily blend medium roast coffee which was tasted AMAZING. Except I think I had a faulty lid because coffee was spewing out of the cup and onto my fingers ??. Just wash your hands after touching any of the equipment since college kids pick their noses and don't wash their hands. Not to mention the soft cream cheese filling shmeared into the bagle was good.“

“My husband and I live in Stamford, CT, but we always make the drive to Brooklyn Bagel Company because the bagels are just that good. The shop has plenty of seating, lots of parking, and great coffee and pastries if bagels aren’t your thing. Highly recommend this spot if you love a true New York bagel 😊“

“This neighborhood deli is packed with character and options. I ordered a classic lox and scallion cream cheese—fresh, briny, and generously portioned. The scallion cream cheese had the perfect tang and herbal kick, complementing the lox beautifully. I also grabbed a cup of their Oreo pudding—rich, sweet, and creamy without being overly heavy. A nostalgic treat done right.

Service was friendly and warm—the staff took time to introduce different menu items and made the experience feel personal. Between the massive chalkboard menus, fresh baked goods, and deli staples, there’s clearly something for everyone.“

“The staff is incredibly kind here always. My mom and I came from NY and when we got here everything was sold out for pick up orders. The staff member asked us to wait while they did the math and saw if there was any leftover. He so kindly brought the bagels and spreads to our car and was INCREDIBLY generous. “It’s a little corner bagel shop and this was superb at many directions.
I had just a quick breakfast and mine was a bagel with CC and another one with butter.
One for later obviously but with a coffee add up only to $8.
Bagels were how old school type was crispy and chewy.
Just a regular cup of coffee tasted so good much better than trendy chais like Starbucks.
Totally satisfied with the food and drink and services by the guys.

“On a stop over in New York, we decided to go find a good bagel place. We are so happy we came upon the Traditional Bagel Café. Staff was friendly, the bagels were delicious, and the food was made to order very quickly. The reason you gave the atmosphere of four is because it was cold in there because their front is all windows and in the middle of the winter it’s hard to keep in insulated. Otherwise it’s an easy place to stop and shop! I would come back again.“

“Had promised the SO that I would take him for breakfast sandwiches on a Sunday (our favorite). Timing was not great as we got there after the kitchen grill was closed (won't make that mistake again). We were still able to have an egg salad sandwich, cream cheese bagel and a toasted blueberry bagel. Great variety of bagels and they are delish! They also do an impressive selection of sandwiches. Monday to Friday there is usually a line out the door, but the service is very efficient and the line moves quickly. There are only a couple of 2 seater tables available inside to sit down.

Parking: Sundays and holidays are free parking. Bronxville is notorious for parking tickets so double check to be sure.“

Everything I tried was absolutely delicious and he was so friendly and helpful. Kudos to Stews for continually hiring outstanding employees and welcome to Chris.“

I’ve been a customer here for a couple years now and I’ve never been disappointed with my orders.The ladies who work there make my day with how happy they look to see me and chat with me. Cash only definitely makes it less convenient, but they’ve got an ATM right there and it’s worth the minor trouble. Anyone who says the food is pricey has no clue what they’re talking about - average sandwich is like 7-8 dollars. That’s far cheaper than what you’d get in NYC which is like 20 minutes away, especially for the quality. I’ve only sat to eat a couple times, but it’s about what you’d expect from a small bagel place. It’s not the best for a proper sit down meal, but it feels cozy in there and I’ve struck up conversations with other customers a few times. I had been recommended this place from my cousin after having some difficulty finding a local Bronx shop that would cater to the different breakfast items I was looking for. “Never been to explore Rye. Glad I had an hour to myself to do so. Wondered and found this place. I'm pretty sure I was just following my nose. Got me an everything bagel and cream cheese. Simple, but done right. Toasted with the perfect amount of spread and the bagel taster fresh, even at close to noon.“

“Perfect location with a municipal parking lot next to the cafe. GCBC bagels are as close to the bagels I grew up eating in Forest Hills. They are soft but slightly chewy. Perfect texture! When I go early in the morning after they've taken them out of the oven, I don't even ask them to toast it. Sometimes I have to wait in line because they're busy but that's a good sign. There are regulars who come every morning and read newspapers while having their bagels. It's a neighborly place with excellent bagels.“
