Konstantinos took such great care of us, and the whole staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Every dish I tried was outstanding—so well-balanced and absolutely delicious. “Family Corner is an amazing cozy family restaurant that my friends & fam have been going to for decades! It’s like “Cheers” where everyone knows each other’s name! The food is made fresh homemade with ♥️Love everyday! Their food is so tasty and the portions are generous. The staff & owner makes you feel part of their family. It’s intimate diner throw back to another time atmosphere is refreshing! The traditional Greek food is out of this world and very reasonably priced. And it has a thriving takeout/ delivery business. Neighborhood eateries like The Family Corner - is what makes our Astoria community great!!!“

“This place is a landmark institution in Astoria and it doesn't disappoint. It is cheap and affordable with a high quality. People still line up to get food from here. I will have to return to try some other items than the chicken. But they were worth the trip.

“I ordered a very large delivery for an office luncheon. My coworkers are very difficult to please, and they all loved this food. The delivery driver was named Thanasis and he was the best. He called ahead of time and asked if we needed anything to keep the food warm. Then he set up all of the food for us and even gave us some tips on the best way to eat the food. Definitely will be ordering again.“

“We had a great experience. the gyro combo was tasty and full of gyro meat. the fries were perfect. nice crisp! the falafel balls were tasty as well with the sauce dip. the spanikopia was just as good. Had a good Greek beer fix. definitely would recommend if your looking for a good Greek meal.“

“Everything was good except I was extremely disappointed with my drink I ordered a coke they filled glass to top with ice so very little soda maybe 3 sips and charged $5.00 and no refills because of that being so cheap not to even have a full glass at that price I will not go back or recommend to my friends! Also with my dinner shishkbob they do not give you any pita bread and they charge $6.00 more for the same thing as lunch special and you get nothing more not even a piece of bread!“

“Came here on Valentine's day -- and while maybe this wasn't the right spot for that night -- we had a great time.

Staff really made us feel at home. And this place feels like it is by the locals, for the locals. Very Greek family vibe.

Food was absolutely the star. I had chicken souvlaki which was tender and flavorful. My guest loved her food, and our grilled octopus starter was delightful. Lemon potatoes were phenomenal. Music starts late but was very nice and authentic. Excellent Greek white wine recommended by our waiter.

“I'd like to give kudos to Nick and his staff at Veranda Restaurant & Cafe. We held my daughter's bridal shower brunch for 22 people there today under the pergola. The food was excellent, and the waitstaff led by Daniel was impeccable! I highly recommend this venue.

Dietary restrictions: I'm allergic to cilantro, so they prepared guacamole specially for me without this ingredient.

“Had my daughter-in- law’s baby shower today, it was great. The service was great, the servers were very attentive and patient with us. Food was very good and to the people that complained about bringing their own cake, this was the first thing Anna told us, we couldn’t. She explained that they would make whatever we wanted and they did, it was delicious. They decorated plus we gave them stuff and did what we wanted. I have no complaints.“

“the food is very good but I see that they have that back from their takeout menu from the way it used to be I usually get a cheeseburger deluxe and the price I never had a problem with it but now I have a problem with it because instead of a whole pickle I get too little pickle wedges I get a little cup of coleslaw and I do not get the sesame bun like I used to the food is still good but the things I just said takes away from it for the price I pay.“
