Food was okay, definitely better options in Astoria and better priced, but portion sizes were very generous. The only dish we really didn’t like was the octopus, they serve it cold and had a funny after taste but everything else was good. Dakos salad was nice and ribeye was perfectly cooked. Lavraki was tasty“

“I was looking for a place to have lunch close to the Noguchi museum and happy that I found this cafe. Homemade Greek cafe with large variety of different foods. If you have any dietary restrictions this place got you covered. Clear indications for Vegan, vegetarian, GF options. We had the zucchini croquettes and the halumi sandwiches both were delicious. Good old school NY vibes.“

“Cute little food truck in a very busy area, and with so many options around I’m glad I chose to stop here. There’s no seating (as expected with a truck), but the food makes up for it. The ladies running it are super nice, and even though there’s usually a small line, it moves quickly. They’re clearly popular — while I was waiting, I noticed a lot of Greek people coming by, which is always a great sign of authenticity. Definitely worth a stop if you’re craving some fresh and tasty Greek street food! Definitely try their gyro!“
“Best Gyros I’ve had. I literally ate at this place after a 130+ Fahrenheit Fever and ate chicken, lamb & beef Gyros for 3 days which nursed me back to health.Gyros so good it brought me back to life after almost dying from a 130+ Fahrenheit fever“

“Came here for the first time yesterday, I always drive by this place and never went inside until yesterday. I tried the falafel sandwich and my mom had the pork, it was absolutely delicious. My Mom loved the pork, and I loved the falafel... actually it was the best falafel I have ever had. The food was so good that we came back today for lunch and ordered the same thing, but this time decided to get a side of their lemon potatoes...which were also delicious and I personally think they were the best I have ever had. The staff was nice and the owner even gave my mom a slice of cake for her birthday for free. I highly recommend everyone to stop by and eat there.“

“My family and I went to Veranda restaurant in Bayside yesterday for. Birthday dinner. The restaurant is well located, with street parking and valet service as well. There’s an outdoor patio, that for obvious reason we couldn’t use. The temperatures in NY have been in the single digits lately. The food and the service were on another level! Gregory was very attentive, welcoming and friendly. The food was finger liking good! I had the pan seared scallops with spinach risotto and OMG. I can’t wait to go back. Everyone was pleased with the their food choices and I highly recommend this place, unfortunately I didn’t take pics of everyone’s food. Only if mine, I hope you find this review useful. “the food is very good but I see that they have that back from their takeout menu from the way it used to be I usually get a cheeseburger deluxe and the price I never had a problem with it but now I have a problem with it because instead of a whole pickle I get too little pickle wedges I get a little cup of coleslaw and I do not get the sesame bun like I used to the food is still good but the things I just said takes away from it for the price I pay.“

“Love this spot- brought my parents who were visiting from out of town. Even in January they still find a way to find the most ripe and flavorful tomatoes. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared and served. Family owned and operated - nothing more iconically Astorian :)“
