“We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Some of the best falafel and tabouli I’ve tasted in quite some time too!“

“I've lived in the neighborhood for 2yrs and finally decided to Try this Restaurant and it hasn't disappointed me yet! I was confused on what dish to get so the cashier (young lady with glasses) recommended "Chicken TIkka" it's so yummy ? the food was hot and freshly cooked this is my third time visiting. “My opinion is 8.3/10. Overall I did enjoy it for my first shashuka. $15 for hummus, 2 eggs and 2 pitas pockets. Overall fresh and enjoyable. “Great authentic shawarma djej. Love that they crisp the saj after rolling it. The guys are friendly, and their sauces and pickles are excellent. Also a big fan of whatever seasoning they use on those crispy fries. One small recommendation, just because of where they’re situated: would love to see some quality hot sauce or shatta on offer. Overall, 10/10—would definitely recommend when you’re looking for a break from the typical halal cart fare.“

“This is a very good authentic Kosher Mediterranean restaurant. The food is great. Very good Turkey/Lamb Shawarma. The place is pretty busy, for a good reason, but it is still possible to get a table. I've been here a couple of times already and am pretty sure will be back again.“

“I’m American, but my family are Egyptian immigrants. I don’t speak Arabic, and I wasn’t overcharged. The kunafa is incredible. Having grown up with desserts my grandmother brought from Egypt, I can honestly say these treats are amazing and bring back childhood memories.“

Oh, Stix, you beautiful culinary temptress! My friends and I stumbled into this gem last weekend, and let me tell you, our taste buds are still sending thank-you notes. The food was so ridiculously delicious that we turned into those cartoon characters who keep ordering more plates while their pants creak at the seams. We started with the dumplings—plump little pillows of joy that melted in our mouths. Then came the skewers, each one a flavor bomb that had us giggling like kids in a candy store. By the time the samsa hit the table, we were in love and out of control, waving down the server like, “MORE, PLEASE, WE BEG YOU!”

The food was so good, we forgot how buttons work. Halfway through, I had to unbutton my jeans to make room for more of that crispy, savory, oh-so-perfect chebureki. My friend Dave tried to “pace himself” but ended up with sauce on his forehead and a dreamy look in his eyes. The staff? Absolute saints for not judging us as we waddled out, belts undone, grinning like we’d just won the food lottery. Stix, you’ve ruined us for all other restaurants. We’ll be back—probably with stretchy pants next time. 10/10, my waistline hates you, but my heart’s writing you love poems.“

“One of the most authentic places to feast at. Visited here from Toronto, Canada and felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. The quality of the food speaks for itself in the fact that you don’t feel uneasy after filling up your belly with whatever you order from the menu.The free lassi was one of my favourite parts and I thoroughly enjoyed the buttermilk goodness. I took back 8 boxes of their famous barfi and till now I order boxes and have them shipped here, it’s been 8 years since I first ate there. Visited once again recently and can say other restaurants don’t compare. We have hundreds of India restaurants in Toronto, Brampton and Mississauga and have yet to try something as good as this place. Thanks for the great service and homemade food. Will always visit when we are in town.“
