“Really a great and very unique restaurant. First of all, the bread is more than great and completely different from any other bread in the United States. In the restaurant, you feel as if you are in Egypt or any other Arab country. You can have breakfast with beans, falafel, hummus, liver, and heart, just like you would eat in any popular restaurant in Egypt. For lunch, you can also eat Mandi and various delicious meats. The prices are reasonable, and the area where the restaurant is located is very lively 🌸🌸“

“My opinion is 8.3/10. Overall I did enjoy it for my first shashuka. $15 for hummus, 2 eggs and 2 pitas pockets. Overall fresh and enjoyable. I'm thrilled to return to 2 Paradise Restaurant after a year, and I must say, they've taken their excellence to the next level! My previous experiences were already top-notch, but the improvements they've made are truly impressive.

“One of my favorite halal spots in queens. Food and service is impeccable. Even though I got a salad platter they still threw in some rice so you won’t go hungry. Chicken and lamb are amazing. Perfect amount of char and still tender. They also usually give out a free sample of falafel which is cooked and seasoned perfectly. They also cook it in an oval shape so it’s a bit more crispy as opposed to the circle ones. Must try and always get extra white sauce and hot sauce. Food is hot, fresh and comes out quickly“

We eat a LOT of halal cart food, and Abdul offers some of the best we’ve had. If you’re in the area (or flying out of JFK and have some extra time), it’s worth a small detour.“

“We ordered the Mix Grill for 2 entree. There was a slight hiccup with our order but the manager made sure to make everything right, and we were very happy with the service. The food was not bad, I would go more for the meat than for the chicken.“

“Taste Choice Shawarma is one of those places that just does it right. The rice platters are the best thing to order—flavorful, filling, and consistently on point. If you’re not getting a platter, at least grab the kebab platter or get the kebabs on the side because they’re a must-have.
The sandwiches are great too, packed well and full of flavor. Food overall is amazing, and the service is top-tier—super friendly, and sometimes they’ll even let you keep a bottle of sauce at the table so you can go crazy with it if you’re dining in.

“*4/5 stars — Great hall and food, one staffing issue*

We held our event at this hall and overall it was a really nice experience. The venue is clean, well-decorated, and has a great layout for guests. The food was a standout — fresh, hot, and flavorful. Everyone at our table commented on how good it was.

The only issue we ran into was with one of the volunteer staff members. Instead of serving, he sat down and ate with the guests. He also cleared plates and removed food from the table while people were still eating. It was awkward and threw off the flow of the meal a bit.

Outside of that, the rest of the team was attentive and the manager was responsive when we mentioned it. For the quality of the hall and food, I’d still recommend booking here. Hopefully they address the volunteer training so guests can finish their meals in peace.

“It was all amazing. The bread was warmed up and amazing in the restaurant. The chicken was juicy and fresh. The fries were well seasoned. Our waitress was amazing. The samsa tasted more gogegoja but still fresh and delicious, it came with a spicy sauce. The lamb and liver was great as well like usual. They also gave olive oil for the meal. They also had fresh sushi being made in the front. I love coming here and will be come again.“

The offerings are delicious Middle Eastern choices to pick from, creating your own special bowl. Fresh vegetables like Sumac onion, cucumber, jalapeno, cabbage slaw, tomatoes, and many other toppings. You can add hummus, red pepper hummus, Baba Ghannouj, cucumber yogurt to your salad. Top it off with Spicy Red Pepper Sauce, Lemon Tahini, Pomegranate Dressing, and/or pita crunch. They also offer Little Tabboule, grape leaves, cabbage slaw to name a few. Perhaps trying out their falafel, kibbe, fatayer, or rekakat. Everything is delicious, wholesome, nutritious, and very affordable at under $20.“
