“We dropped in for an early dinner to try this restaurant close to home. The flavors were amazing. We had catfish bites and pear salad as starters and fried chicken and gumbo as the entrees. Everything was perfectly prepared. We met the owner who was very welcoming. The space is not very big so reservations are recommended if you plan to dine in.“

“Everything here was delicious! We got here just in time for the oyster happy hour (5:30-6:30 pm) so the oysters were half off! We also got these croquette appetizers and they were on the smaller side but man were they delicious! My bf said he can down 10 of them if he had the option to. The oysters were fresh and smooth. We ordered the surf n turf po boy and a small order of creole gumbo. We also received a panna cotta dessert and it was so smooth and rich. Highly recommend this spot!“

“First time there yesterday..the place is beautiful. The food was OK. Our waiter Jonathan C was awesome!! The blue crab doesn’t need the powdered sugar on top. The alligator bites batter was too salty and the cornbread was on the dry side….half a loaf is only 2 small slices for $8…not cool. And last but not least, the bread pudding should have been warm and the caramel sauce taste burnt. I will still give it a 8 out of 10 rating.“

“We got there around 945 right before the kitchen closed, we ordered fast and got the lobster, soft shell crab basket , king crab, Mac n cheese and garlic bread, Cajun fries , mussels, ordered all rhe seafood with the boil sauce which is a mix of all of them definitely go with that and don’t need to order extra sauce, came with potatoes and corn, the drinks were that great but the service was fast, it was super busy, classic seafood/cajun vibe“

“Absolutely delicious and authentic Chinese food. I was invited to this restaurant by my Chinese boss and he ordered most of the food. I was blown away by just about everything we ordered as I have never heard of most of these dishes. They were all amazing, with the exception of stinky tofu. If you’ve never had it before, you probably shouldn’t risk it as it’s a definite acquired taste. I will be back here to explore more dishes“

“The place opens at 1:00 pm every day. We went on a Wednesday for lunch. We did all you can eat (AYCE). I calculated the cost of what we wanted to try and the AYCE. It was cheaper to go with AYCE. It was $25 per person which I found reasonable. They offered fried items and boiled items. We had the fried oysters, shrimp, calamari, soft shell crab, crab ball, flounder, and onion rings. The seafood was on the small side but it was off season so I expected it. The crab ball was dry. The oysters were slightly salty but not too bad. Overall it was good. It was cooked just right and it was crispy. It came out nice and hot and quickly. The wait staff was attentive but not annoying. The decor was cute. This seafood boil in my opinion is slightly better than the competition in the area generally.There is often no wait at all here so it’s easy to get a table. However I still decided to give them a try...walk in the place was empty but it was in the evening and just finish raining. The worker in the front was cool and helpful he gave me some suggestions which helped me make some of my decisions. Once my order was complete the cook came out with my order to explain which each meal was before packing it away which was sweet and helpful because it allowed me to take the pictures I needed since I was taking my food to go. Everything was tasty except for the tender meal with the mash and corn that was my least favorite. The fries were also too soft for my liking wish they were a little more crisper. “I have been to a lot of seafood spots and this is a great local Astoria spot for seafood! The food was delicious and so filling. Ate the crab legs with shrimp with the Boil special sauce with a mild level of spices for one order and medium level of spices for the second order. We also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts and potatoes which were also good. The total was 134$. The place does only take cash but they have an ATM inside. There is plenty of space inside and we did not need to make a reservation for a Wednesday evening. Parking in this area is a bit difficult. Definitely recommend !“

“Really great place. Found this place when looking for a late night place to eat as we were picking someone up from JFK, and we are from out of town. The website said open to 4am. We made a reservation for 11 and were told the kitchen closes at midnight. We were running late they called us and let us get there at 11:40. They're was 12 of us! Certain items are budget affordable thought depending. “I've done take out many time, usually the boil bags and fried rice here and always good. However, came twice on a Saturday to dine in with family and couldn't hear ourselves over the music. We left both times because it was impossible to hear the person next to you or even speak your order to the waitress, my son was really uncomfortable and crying. Music was on point don't get me wrong but didn't need to be blasting like it was a club, we should be able to have family meals there and be able to hear eachother speak. Hopefully soon it's rectified so we can finally dine in.“
