“Vinny uncle catered for our wedding reception this past month. His service, attention to detail and delicious food made the event a grand success. He did many live stations including- Italian, Mexican, Asian, Indian, Mediterranean etc. and people were blown away by the tasty options. Working with Vinny uncle was very easy, he helped us choose great options and tailored a menu specific to our event. He came for the event and personally made sure everything was perfect. And the highlight was the Viennese desert at the end! We highly recommend you use Tandoor catering for your next event…you will not be disappointed!“

“Had a wonderful dinner experience at Adda tonight. The food was exceptional. The chefs know what to do with the spices to create some of the best flavors in all of these dishes. The curry leaf crab is a must! All the dishes were great. But the one of the best bites we had was a simple yet so flavorful kulfi popsicle desert that was dipped in strawberry cream sauce. Also what was top of the line was the service. Our server Swayam was a delight. He was the kindest person with a great personality. He was very knowledgeable about all the items and was a great help with recommendations. Service was a 10 out of ten. It’s hard to get a reso here, but that means everyone is going here. This restaurant is a must.

“First time here! My family and I (party of 13)came here foe dinner to celebrate my 50th birthday 🎂 and it didn’t disappoint! All the apps and i mean cause we ordered alot was excellent! Order the lamb chops, the hakka noodles, and the salt and pepper prawns they were excellent, oh and the lasooni gobi! Our entrees were excellent…do try the punjabi khadi and the fish curry! The service was excellent , the staff were attentive, polite and did not rush us. Do try this place each regional dish will take you on a flavor journey you didn’t expect but will love!“

Every dish had a freshness and flavor that would be the envy of any other Indian restaurant in the city. They also have a very respectable wine list to complement the cuisine. “After eating so much (pizza etc )we needed to eat something different, spicy and booked this gem,as it as near to our hotel. It was also our 40th wedding anniversary. We are from U.K. This was amazing perfectly cooked tasty home made authentic Indian cuisine. We had mocktails ( lavender was refreshing ). The tandoori lamb chops x4 were full meat seasoned beautifully and delicious. All other sides perfect too. Now in U.K. we hate restaurant Indian puddings they are usually bought in and awful/failure. After finding out the chef is the owner and a recipient Michelin star we were convinced to stay,try and this was the first time we have had authentic home made puddings; try Kulfi with rose water & also Indian rice pudding. The whole meal was exceptional great value and we will recommend this restaurant to anyone else visiting New York. Easy to find off Times Square /Broadway. “When I walked in the restaurant the delicious aromas let me know I made a good choice. The food was absolutely amazing with vegan/vegetarian options and even a complimentary gluten free appetizer. The staff was welcoming and the service great. The prices were reasonable, but the best part was the delicious food!!“

“A wonderful place with a creative menu. Very unique flavors. Try as many items as you can as each one is special. We went in a group and we were able to share and taste a variety of items. A very casual chic place, you don’t have dress up 😊. They had some original cocktails, adding a twist to the traditional ones. Definitely must visit. Be aware, you will need to make a reservation well in advance. They are popular and hard to get in.“

“One of the best meals I’ve had out in a long time. Everything here from the service to the ambience was amazing! For appetizers we had the biyebarir fish fry and the aloo chaat, both were spicy but we found ourselves wanting more. The entrees stepped it up a notch with the prawn malai kari and the kosha mangshu which were 100% worth coming back for. Our server Zaraith was extremely knowledgeable and guided us through the entire meal and the manager Joy was very hospitable. Will be back soon for sure, thank you Unapologetic for the experience!“

Katie got us seated and George was our host/waiter - who was pretty difficult to spot throughout our time here.

Now that I am done complaining about the service, lets quickly get to the food which was absolutely fantastic.

What to get? The standout dish of the evening was Jackfruit Ghee Roast ($30) - the most delicious Jackfruit dish I have every had. Creamy, spice balanced, and flavor packed. This with Malabar Parotha was a banger combination.

Market Beets ($20) stood out in small bites, thanks to the delicious walnut chikki, and the smoked mayo sauce with Kolhapuri Chicken Bao was really tasty. Roasted Bombay Corn Ribs ($12) can be skipped, and so can the Biryani Chicken Wings ($16).

Their seasonal cocktail - a Gin & Tonic with cucumber and mint was refreshing. Cocktails overall were enjoyable.

We tried all their desserts which include a pistachio icecream, gulab jamun with coriander, and icecream sandwich. Desserts overall were an absolute letdown and I wouldn't recommend any of them. If you have an absolute sugar craving, go with icecream sandwich!

If they figure out their service staffing, I see no reason why Passerine can't be a New York favorite. With a gifted chef who balances flavor so well, the core ingredient of this restaurant is up to the mark!“

“I stopped by the Hindu Temple Canteen after visiting the temple and the place delivers exactly what people say about it. The food is simple, fresh and made with the kind of consistency you only get in a temple kitchen.

I tried two plates because I was there with a friend. The pongal was warm, comforting and properly seasoned. The curd vada had a light, balanced taste and felt refreshing. The mixture on the side added a nice crunch. The dosa was crisp, not oily, and the coconut chutney tasted clean. The sambar was mild but paired well with everything.

The canteen is not about presentation. It's about honest food that feels familiar and satisfying. Portions are fair and pricing is very reasonable for New York. If you're already visiting the temple, stopping here makes total sense. It’s quick, reliable and a good break before heading back out.“

“Food was really good but THEY CANNOT MAKE STUFF SPICY !! I asked for the spiciest stuff they had and he said he had some really spicy hot sauce for me. With a straight face he gave me a small container of Tabasco or some other vinegar based mild hot sauce.

He also gave me two tiny green Birds Eye peppers which are spicy, yes, but I asked for extra extra spice so I was expecting way more.“
