“I was craving tacos in the middle late at night and was struggling to find anything open that would have decent quality. This place pleasantly surprised me – their tacos were delicious and very well-made. I ordered shrimp, veggie and barbacoa with guacamole as an extra. The portion was huge, and each type of taco was great, not worse than in any nice taco restaurant. Definitely recommend it.“

“Tacos Comal is following what every taco spot in Ny is trying to do; and that is to mimic the ever popular Tijuana style taco of course originating from its name sake and an ever popular option in California. And just like these taqueria in NY that try to mimic the look is there but the flavor cannot seem to get it right. These tacos are 3.5, although I cannot give it in my review it’s not deserving a 4 but mediocre is not by any measure and definitely does not deserve a 3. It falls in a 3.5 category. It’s not that the flavor is bad, it’s more that I don’t taste the authenticity. The salsas were weak and the biggest saving grace of this taco spot is its tortillas, which are definitely delicious.

If you’re looking for a good New York taco this is your spot! If you’re looking for an authentic Mexico or California taco they are to be found elsewhere.“

I had just finished a late workout and was heading to meet up with friends when I needed some food. I saw the food truck and stopped by. I ordered the Al pastor burrito because I was super hungry which was $13. He melted the cheese which to me is always the most important thing and the rest of the ingredients are fresh and the meat was delicious.“

My youngest got a mac and cheese from the kids menu which was priced at $12. The small guava drinks were $5 a piece. In total I paid $59! I didn’t expect to pay that much at all. If you’re on a budget, you may not want to go there. However, the restaurant was clean and cozy, the bathroom was clean and comfortable, and the customers were calm, respectful, and kept their voices down. Great environment overall, with good music!“

Chilo's is a versatile kinda spot, if it's early in the afternoon they have some games out for a laid back and family amendable atmosphere to catch up with old friends, as well as themed nights later in the evening that can get pretty busy. The vibe is always welcoming, I have watched a fair number of events here and felt the community support and anticipation (especially on election nights). This is a real BedStuy gem whether you've been in the neighborhood your whole life or are passing through.

Their tacos are good enough to please my LA friends without trying to pose as anything but their own Brooklyn brand. This new temporary menu is fresh and I was surprised how much I liked the salads.“

“Walking distance from subway. Across the street from a nice park. Somewhat manageable paid street parking. Amazing staff and service. Very cozy with only 2 tables and a counter. Very extended menu, you will definitely find something you like, vegan, vegetarian, or meats. Lunch specials are all great. Fast service. I'm getting lunch there at least 3 times a week, every week. We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. “This Restaurant is absolutely amazing, the lady behind the counter was soooo helpful and friendly. She had no issue explaining the menu so, dont be afraid to ask questions. The atmosphere was very calm and fun feeling and last but CERTAINLY NOT LEAST, the FOOOOD! It was amazing i got the chicken nachos with the chicken tacos and an order of churos and everything was DELICIOUS. I did opt to take the guacamole and jalapeños off of the tacos, but next time I will definitely be trying the guacamole on the tacos. The nachos were amazing. I may also have them put guacamole on those next time and the churros were to die for!!! My husband got the chicken quesadilla, which was huge and It was also delicious. He also got the chicken tacos and an order of churros as well. All in all we both give this Resturant a 10 out of 10. And we WILL be regulars!! Lol“

The staff were incredibly, so kind and generous with portion sizes, the atmosphere was so fun and welcoming, and the food was also amazing. They also have a huge sense of community at this restaurant, helping out the neighborhood and donating to student projects! They also offer a huge variety for various dietary restrictions and catering for large groups. Truly could not recommend this spot more, if you are in Brooklyn or even in the city, please go check this place out!!!“

“Quick eats spot that I think is underrated. Amount of food is reasonable for the price and not to mention delicious. I ordered takeout but there are about 3 tables in the restaurant for dine-in. Also, it’s a mom and pop shop and their daughter works the register. They’re super respectful and sweet. You should definitely go support them and try their yummy food!“
