“I visited this taco spot and the food was amazing! I wasn't entirely sure what I ordered because of some unfamiliar terms on the menu, but except for the quesadilla, we tried 6 different items and every single one of them was delicious.
However, the seating is quite limited and not very comfortable. If you live close enough that your tacos won't get cold on the way, I’d highly recommend ordering takeout instead.“

“After hunting for good Mexican food for over a year, it’s safe to say this place checks all the boxes. The staff are always friendly, the food is divine, and the portions are reasonable. There is limited seating, but it is cozy and nice if the weather is good. I will say, if you order through an app, the portions are quite a bit smaller so it’s worth going in-person. Everything is good so you can’t miss, but I especially love the beans they use in the Al Pastor burrito and the salsa verde.“

As there was only one vegetarian option, it was still tasty and amazing to try because of how fresh the ingredients were, the high quality temperature, and the presentation. We got the mushroom tacos and a quesadilla with added pico de gallo, fresh herbs. The quality of the tortilla was fresh, the people were friendly, and the ordering process was smooth through through the kiosk. Since we went in the winter it was freezing but they were nice enough to add a heating fan. The best part about this place and selling point as we all know is the atmosphere. Since the taco spot is a quick eat N go, the keg stands as mini standing tables was very clever and aesthetic. Will come back if I ever am in the area and drunk 🤪“

“I was craving tacos in the middle late at night and was struggling to find anything open that would have decent quality. This place pleasantly surprised me – their tacos were delicious and very well-made. I ordered shrimp, veggie and barbacoa with guacamole as an extra. The portion was huge, and each type of taco was great, not worse than in any nice taco restaurant. Definitely recommend it.“

“Went to the brand new Houston location and things are a bit rocky with staffing and supplies but I want to brag on your employee CAMILLA ! We came from NC and after visiting Puerto Rico several times I was so excited for this experience! She was so patient with us! Answered all our questions with a very helpful and cheerful attitude even tho she was drowning in drink orders! With only one other helper, she never showed any frustration and provided excellent above and beyond customer service! The cashier with her was brand new and super sweet as well! Camilla even gave me a hug when we left! She made my whole morning! And gave us the absolute best breakfast recommendation as well! Thank u so much Camilla for your grace and kindness this morning. “Tacos Comal is following what every taco spot in Ny is trying to do; and that is to mimic the ever popular Tijuana style taco of course originating from its name sake and an ever popular option in California. And just like these taqueria in NY that try to mimic the look is there but the flavor cannot seem to get it right. These tacos are 3.5, although I cannot give it in my review it’s not deserving a 4 but mediocre is not by any measure and definitely does not deserve a 3. It falls in a 3.5 category. It’s not that the flavor is bad, it’s more that I don’t taste the authenticity. The salsas were weak and the biggest saving grace of this taco spot is its tortillas, which are definitely delicious.

If you’re looking for a good New York taco this is your spot! If you’re looking for an authentic Mexico or California taco they are to be found elsewhere.“

“Second time ordering take-out from here. They’re really friendly and have great service, but it’s not going to become my next favorite unfortunately. Food was okay, ordered cheese birria tacos which I thought would be cheese crusted rather than just some shredded cheese tossed inside.
The birria consome was great though! I think it was missing some salt but when combined with the tacos (as it should be) it was a perfect combination.

The place is small though, not a lot of seating space and the space that is available is a bit tight, so that ruins a bit of the atmosphere for me. But, for takeout nearby, I think it’s in the right neighborhood and deserves its round of applause.“

“My friend nd I wanted Birria tacos so we found this restaurant off of TikTok. I stood in the car while he got the food but when he came back with the food he had a huge smile on his face. He said the costumer service was amazing and the lady that served him (I’m not sure of her name but she was an older lady) was very nice to him. She even gave us an extra free water.
