“We've passed this restaurant so many times and always said we've wanted to try. I'm so upset at myself that we didn't try it sooner. Firstly our waitress (sorry didn't get her name) was so friendly and we enjoyed small talk. Ordered fry rice and half chicken. It has to be the best we've ever had. The green sauce that comes with the food is so delicious. We will definitely be back more often and try different things on the menu.“

“Great atmosphere, with a split level bar/restaurant.
Food was great. Had the chicken empanadas to start (massive!)
For dinner, had the Tacu Tacu and my compadre had the Lomo Saltado. Both delicious and tasty dishes.
Drinks were also good. Had the Gin Mule, and a spicy tequila drink (can't remember the name). Both made with class.
Highly recommend this spot to small or medium sized groups.

I’ve had the steak with tostones, their chicharrón de pollo & many other delectable dishes. They also have a nice bar & make excellent Pisco sours which I can’t find in too many places! I live in Rockland County & the hubby & I take the trip about monthly just to eat here! Nothing fancy about the restaurant but definitely good eats! Highly recommend! “If you're craving bold, authentic Peruvian flavors in Brooklyn, this place is an absolute must. We came around golden hour and were lucky enough to grab a table outdoors - the patio seating was super cozy and gave us the perfect view of the sunset while we ate.
We ordered the rotisserie chicken and it was insanely juicy and flavorful -- perfectly seasoned with that crispy skin you dream about. The lomo saltado was tender and full of that rich, savory stir-fry flavor you'd expect. For sides, we had both the yuca fries and regular fries --honestly couldn't pick a favorite. The yuca fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the papas fritas were classic perfection.
The cocktails were another standout -- super refreshing with unique flavor combos (and you can feel them, too).
Definitely not watered down.

“After coming out of Thalia Spanish Theater, we crossed the street to Costa y Mar for dinner.
We were greeted by a very pleasant waitress who immediately sat us down after greeting us.
Once we ordered our food, the food was delivered promptly and it was delicious!!!
We ordered different entrees and they were all delicious and plentiful!!!
We found it to be a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!!!

“We had a wonderful experience at Ancla. My wife, our 8 month old baby, and I went for dinner, and everything was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. We both love lomo saltado, so that’s what we ordered. It was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and simply outstanding. I also had a pisco cocktail, and my wife ordered a margarita, both were fantastic. The atmosphere was welcoming, and we felt very comfortable dining there with our baby. Overall, an amazing experience. Totally recommended!“

“You can never go wrong with a lomo saltado or a classic, original and how it’s supposed to be made, ceviche. The flavors were out of this world. Meat was cooked perfectly, sauce was perfect. The fettuccini with the homemade sauce was ridiculous. Gonna try making it at home for sure!! The ceviche was really good, the puréed sweet potato was a nice touch. Wish i had a bit more of a portion but all in all, very very good!“

“Basic Chinese takeout with a twist, there's a Chinese Peruvian fusion. Basically the fusión is the addition of Rotisserie Chicken and ají verde. There are Sweet Plantains and Rice and Beans on the menu. The line is long, the food is fresh. The service is friendly and the prices are good.“
