“My son took me here for a birthday dinner after hanging at Rockaway Beach. This was one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The pasta is homemade and delicious. I had a ravioli dish that was finished off with heating in their brick oven. I’d like to rate this restaurant 10 stars!!!!“

Got the personal supreme Detroit style pizza (sausage, green pepper, onion) and it was literally a flavour bomb, the crispy cheese on the outside was to die for too. The server was also a gem, super friendly quick service, and the vibe is excellent - vintage films playing in the background, cool decor etc. Also really interesting cocktails! But I didn’t have one because it was lunchtime lols. I’ll be back !“

“We’ve been here several times, and they have the best Caesar salad in the city. As for the pizzas, I’m still undecided. You can’t go wrong with a classic, but the other options seem a bit lackluster. The dough is perfect but they can work on taste.

I also think their prices might have changed since our last visit a few months ago.“

“Low key might be your best slice in Bushwick/Ridgewood. It bests Robertas and Ops easily yet doesn't get the hype of either of the latter. They also have better appetizer options like a mint watermelon salad that we devoured before taking a picture. The pizza hits all the marks of a good pie and then goes a step beyond with a similar price point to Robertas. This is a great spot that's out of the was but absolutely worthy of the trip.“

You can just tell by the regulars who come in here and know exactly what they want as if they are here every day!

“I've been trying to visit this spot for some time now, but there were always hours wait lines whenever I would be in the area. One lucky Sunday I got my first chance.

I was immediately greeted upon walking in ( appreciated, especially since the counter server was ringing up 2 people while answering questions of a third) and I immediately ordered what all my friends told me to get- curry oxtail slice. I also ordered a chopped cheese slice out of curiosity- I love a chopped cheese!

The oxtail slice has absolutely nothing about it beyond the fact it's served on a triangle shaped slice of bread. That being said, this is the most delicious and unique slice of pizza I've ever had. The oxtail is soft, tender, bountiful, amazingly flavorful- this oxtail tail is better than a lot of the braised oxtail I've had at different Caribbean restaurants throughout Brooklyn. I honestly wish I had a slice in hand right now.

The chopped cheese slice was equally amazing- generous amounts of meat and cheese, seasoned well, and a little bit of heat. It's as good as some of the chopped cheeses I've had around the city (can't compare to the Bronx, haven't had any there yet)

I know they've been successful enough that they've started opening other locations. Gonna try the East Village Cuts & Slices next!“

Beet salad was so good, burgers cooked to perfection, shakshuka with merguez sausage was delicious, the white truffles pizza with poached eggs was amazing!! “The BEST Sicilian square sourdough pizza on the planet 🌎 their sauce is organic and phenomenal, the cheese is wonderful, olives and if you feel like it Add some sausage, and the yummiest pecorino Romano shreds just topped it off. The crispiest crust and So incredibly digestible, because it’s sourdough. Sourdough is fermented and your gut loves fermented food… Love their little gem lettuce salad with their homemade dressing. Very simple here I think we ordered 3 square pies and of course brought some home The Sicilian squares heats up beautifully Just love OPS on Himrod Bushwick Brooklyn!!!! We brought our son who lives in Louisville and this time brought our daughter and boyfriend who live in San Diego and their rock star Pal who is on a tour with THE WHO. All give the square pizza A+ Excellent! The staff is warm and friendly!!!“

“When this place was serving breakfast it was such a great option. I still think about the sausage gravu and biscuit. Local spot no frills so don't expect anything fancy. People are friendly enough by Brooklyn standards. I'm not pizza snob but people rave about the pies, but I really liked the bagels, the biscuits and the sausage gravy. The biscuit sandwich was absolutely massive and can definitely be eaten by two people. Not sure if they are still serving breakfast though.“

“A new Staple of the Brooklyn Pizza scene. It's definitely a spot to stop by and try. The crust is crunchy and a flavor with texture of it coming out of a brick oven, but it isn't. Had the rice balls a well, perfectly fried with the outside crisy and the inside gooey with fantastic fresh flavors. The inside is modern classic Italian pizzeria that clean and comfortable.Service was excellent friendly as if your family. Also, small business that is locally owned.“

“The food is excellent it’s delicious and healthy at the same time and having a vegetarian/ koshered diet has really contributed to me being healthy and in shape and shredded . Mr and mrs erivk are great people and I can’t get enough of the grilled eggplant and their salads and the desserts are a temptation of their own. I have friends that make fun of me sometimes for eating so much from a koshered spot but they don’t know what they’re missing out on😋“

“There’s so many pizza spots in the area, but Chiara’s is for sure one of my favorites. I just love how creative they get with their specialty slices/pies - you for sure won’t find the same thing elsewhere. You could never go wrong with one of their traditional slices (especially the margherita) since their sauce is so good. The owner Neal is a cool dude and genuinely enjoys seeing his customers happy. “Rated them on grubhub, and making sure I rate them here. Esca’s is hands down the best pizzeria in the area (including Howard Beach). Every time we’ve ordered from them we’re impressed. Usually we get a mushroom/pepperoni pizza and their outrageously delicious chicken parm garlic knot, both of which are always awesome. Today I tried a La Norma pizza and am once again impressed. Awesome work all around from the chefs to the delivery guys. They always cook good food and always deliver with a smile. “This pie did not disappoint. Greeted right when we entered the shop and asked if we had any questions. Easy access to the menu through a QR code. We went with a traditional cheese pie and were quoted 20 minutes as it’s a fresh made to order pie and had a moderate amount of orders ahead of us. Pie was ready as quoted and man oh man did it deliver a flavor bomb upon the first bite. It didn’t burn my mouth but was definitely hot and delicious. The crust was absolute perfection. Not too chewy! Flaky and light yet didn’t fold over when picked up! Sauce was simple and balanced out by the cheese blend and touch of oil. Nice fresh basil trimmed on top before boxing was a flavorful addition as well. I didn’t want that first piece to end. Could not recommend more!“

I've passed this spot a few times now and have been curious, today I stopped by on a whim to grab a slice (well I intended to grab 2) -- but after trying the buldak pizza, I had to go back to the counter and get another!!

The taste was great, and the crisp on the pies were perfect. Everyone behind the counter was so nice and friendly! I'm so glad to have this spot in the neighborhood although it may be dangerous to have something so good and so convenient -- this close by. Excited to go back and try everything else on the menu!!
