“The food was amazing. We started off with scones which honestly before these I was not a fan of but boy am I glad to have given them a chance because they are delicious. I ended up getting an order to go as well. The food as well 2 so good asking with the tea options a great date spot.“
“Rack of Lamb was tasty,tender and nice presentation . Always a great dish on the regular menu. The Halibut special (almond crusted) was to die for. Shared a delicious coconut and pecan cake with cappuccino and an espresso for dessert. Can't resist the dessert cart.“
“I like waterooi very much. I went to this location many years ago. The interior design is also in my mind. We went to the other location in Port Washington because it's closer. But the port Washington was closed. We came back again for a family birthday.Food is good as always. Everyone enjoyed it. We ordered Steak Frites, oysters, fried calamari, 2 modules pots, black linguine eta. One of our neighbor works there, he is generous and sent us a creme brulee and chocolate mousse to celebrate.“
“Can’t say enough about our experience last night. It was pouring raining but my husband wanted to go out for dinner. We showed up at around 9pm , after another restaurant wouldn’t seat us. Service and food was incredible!! We were not rushed even though we were the only ones left at that point.They kept telling us, to enjoy and not rush. Is definitely now our favourite place.“
“All good things...must come to an end. I was a little saddened to find out the previous owners Jean-Luc and Lucette retired already. Our visits to this neighborhood gem are like going to friends' homes for dinner. We are going to really miss their smiles. It is their granddaughter Marie managing the place now. They should be very proud of how she carried on their legacy. On our recent visit, we had soup sampler (French onion soup, carrot soup, potato soup) and oysters as appetizers. All the soups were yummy good and the oysters very fresh. We had the quails and frogs legs as mains. They tasted great and good portions sizes too. My significant other especially liked the zucchini that came with the entrees. We took home our desserts (cheesecake and chocolate truffle cake) and opt for the special strawberry souffle. It is so gooood. The twilight menu also came with salad for less than $40. Specials are extra and our bill came out to around $120 before tax. It is well worth every penny. We also wanted to thank our lady server, too. She was attentive and friendly. Basically has a little "lucette" touch in her. Thank you !!“
“I apologize for not writing this review earlier, but I did have the complete honor and privilege to Dine here this past Sunday, March 3, 2024. From start to finish it was perfect. I am in the Restaurant business and have been for the past 35 years. To be quite honest it is really hard for any establishment to float my boat, especially in this day and age. As Server Jamal was phenomenal, very professional, and understanding. I arrived with a Guest a bit late for a Sunday evening and still was treated like royalty. The Chef even came out to adhere to some requests which I found simply unparalleled. From start to finish it was an epic journey of culinary perfection and straight-out perfect Hospitality.
