“Lovely experience. Girl and I are big time bahn mi people. We usually drive to queens or just miss this type of food. We’re not to far away but we seldom get out. We’re both in the food industry and Monday and Tuesday we go out for errands and what not. We popped in. Warm greeting. She got a summer roll. I got veggie spring rolls and we each got a bahn mi. Delicious. Great bread. She got the short rib I got the pulled chicken. Probably go for pork belly next time. I wish there was little extra schmear of pate but they probably play it safe for common people. Iced coffee was fire“

“OMG Tasty House serves some of the best food I've ever tried, I've never had Vietnamese before, I'm such a fan now. The seating area is small and quaint, but the atmosphere is welcoming. Manna our hostess was friendly and helpful. She answered every question and explained the menu items and specials. I had Pho Special and my wife the Curry Chicken, we also tried the scallion pancakes and delicious mango milk tea. Everything was delicious! We'll definitely be returning soon. Thank you so much!!“

“I have to say, this place isn’t fully authentic being that the reviews from a Vietnamese person pointed out their differences and I thought the same. Missing the Vietnam wall clock! 😂

But this is the only Vietnamese restaurant in Long Island that serves Bun Bo Hue! I usually have to go all the way to Flushing Queens, Brooklyn or Manhattan for Bun Bo Hue. Brooklyn and Manhattan for Bun Rieu, but hey, not everyone serves it due to the complexity of the dish.

I have to give them an “A” for effort at least. Their Bun Bo Hue didn’t use the chili shrimp paste that gives it the spicy umami flavor and it is suppose to be a lemongrass broth. Most likely they used the pho beef broth and added some chili oil to it. The pork trotters weren’t as I expected either.

The Combination Pho was nice, the broth had a slightly smokey flavor to it, from what I noticed the day I tried it.

The grilled pork wasn’t pork slices, but were in strips.

The spring rolls were way overdone from the color of it and the filling tasted a bit dated and not the same from an authentic Vietnamese restaurant.

But overall no complaints from the family, which is an A in my book, being with how picky they are with the authenticity because I raised a bunch of food snobs!😂“

The artwork on the walls carried echoes of African pieces, giving the space a familiar soul. “Never had Pho before now we are hooked. Its soup on steroids. Tried the homemade dumplings for the first time and equally delicious. Not the most inviting inside but then again is there a Chinese take out restaurant where you walk in and say this place is beautiful.“

“This restaurant serves the best Vietnamese and Chinese food in town. The food is Fresh. their Pho is delicious. It’s a family owned and family oriented restaurant. The waiter Alex is the nicest man in the world. They have the best price. You won’t break the bank eating here. I highly recommend this restaurant.“
