“Best Vietnamese spot in Staten Island by far. Coming from Brooklyn, I was concerned about restaurants lacking in quality. This place hits the spot. The meats are cooked right, the chicken is tender and juicy. The fried calamari is crispy. I was hesitant when the staff recommended the curry, but they definitely do a great job with it.“

“I used to order Pho from here all of the time and now it is different. I came on google to see if there was a change and saw the comment below that it’s new owners so it makes sense. I noticed a difference in the quantity of noodles and lack of chop sticks with my order and that’s what made me check on google.
It’s about $5 more per Pho. They do give a large portion of meat which is nice.
I do wish this business well, the pho is still good, but the ordering system is a little different too for building your pho as well.“

“Hidden gem out in Staten Island , very authentic Vietnamese food with a massive menu. Very tasty, fresh ingredients, huge portions and authentic options that you don’t see in run of the mill Vietnamese places downtown! Great prices too would definitely come back here“

“It was sooo good. If you don't know what to eat ask for the Appetizer Platter, if you are with more people though. And ask for the Beef Pho 10. It is so good, no spicy. Then if you like hot coffe, ask for the Vietnamese coffe, just like that. Delicious! A lot and simple flavors at the same time. I'll go again if I near by.“

“The Banh Mi Cart is my favorite part of working in the Financial District. They’re only open 4 hours a day but boy do they deliver! Hot, delicious ready-to-eat Vietnamese banh mi’s ? And the two uncles working the cart are super friendly and are the most honest, hardworking people I’ve met. I’ll have to try to get there earlier because the roasted pork banh mi is sold out everytime!“

“Cozy neighborhood place with good service.
Summer Rolls was a bit dry, felt like it’s been sitting in the kitchen for a while.
Pho broth was great with good flavors. Rice noodles were a bit mushy.
Flan was very good.“

“I ordered 3 bowls of Vietnamese Pho noodle soup for myself and my traveling partners when I was in NYC.
Look at the bowl!
A big hearty bowl of beef soup!
😍🥢
The standard was the same as those I ate in Asia and Vietnam (Hanoi). Love it! ❤️“

“The pho hits the spot and the broth is very good. The bun thit nuong cold vermicelli noodles is very refreshing if you don’t feel like hot broth. Overall, very good food and the crispy pan fried noodles with seafood was delicious. Also, parking lot onsite is very convenient. Highly recommend this place for good Vietnamese food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Thanh Đa is a popular hole-in-the-wall Vietnamese spot for banh mi near 8 Av, Brooklyn. I read many negative reviews about the terrible attitude of the owner, skimpy toppings and how their prices have risen significantly. God knows how nervous I was when I walked into the shop lol.
Fortunately I didn’t have such poor experience when I went. I was very satisfied with what I got, and the owner and staff weren’t rude at all. Just keep in mind they no longer open dine-in area.
#1 House Special Banh Mi 清娜麵包
For the house special banh mi, they put together roasted pork, ham, cold cut, pickled carrots and radish and cucumber. The fillings weren’t overflowing, but it was sufficient and stuffed till the bottom of the bread roll. The baguette was toasted to a crusty finish on the outside, and a soft dough on the inside.
You can ask for jalapeno for extra spice (they forgot to add it to my banh mi tho). $8 for a banh mi is still reasonable to me in this economy, as I can split it into two meals.
Banh mi is made to order. It took around 10 mins even I was the only customer in store.
*Ca Phe Thanh Ða (Thanh Ða Coffee) 清娜咖啡
This Vietnamese coffee was so pleasant. Dark roasted and rich in caffeine as you can taste from the robust and bold flavor. I asked for less sugar and less ice, and it had the perfect level of sweetness. $5 for the iced coffee is slightly steep but I’ll still get this again.“

“I regularly come to this place, their Banh Mi is great, the bread is crispy and warm and it’s packed with coriander and carrots. The tofu (if you get this option) is deliciously smoky, peppery and soft.
Not many seatings inside and it’s very small, I always get it to go. It’s a strong option if you’re in a rush or working/studying in the neighbourhood.
Service is always nice and quick!“

“Since moving to NYC, it's been hard to find Viet food that tastes homemade and happy to say that this place is as authentic as it gets. Got the bún and gỏi cuốn and felt so happy after eating it. Also got the banh mí and chè ba màu to go and was so happy to find a spot that has good and quality food.“

“Incredible, fresh and delicious food! My faves are the vermicelli with egg rolls and grilled beef, bahn mi (beef or pork, mmm) and of course the pho. The servers are kind and attentive, and service is super fast overall! The bubble tea and vietnamese coffee are delicious -- and they've got fresh juices too -- and you can order them to go, too. I've enjoyed dining in a lot -- the decor is beautiful, they can easily accommodate large parties and the playlist is always jammin. But you can order from them too and get the same quality eats! Easily one of my fave places in JC“

“The atmosphere was very welcoming. The food was really good. The grilled pork wasn't dry at all and was perfect with the sauce they gave. Service was pretty good. The food came at a reasonable price. I asked my friends tha got pho instead and they said they'll definitely get another time. The servers were very friendly and nice. Overall good quality viet food“

“the Banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) is very good and their other things are also pretty good, I heard, but it is a long wait, usually about 10 minutes if not busy and 20 minutes when there is a few people there. Also there is no dine in since the place in extremely small. So you order, wait outside, get your food, and leave. but definitely worth the wait if you have the time“

“A true hole in the wall - only 5 tables seating 2 each - yet popular with the lunch crowd. There are plenty bad reviews but I find this dive adequate and nice. The girl at the counter was super friendly and efficient, the food was fresh, clean and tasty. Don't expect authenticity - for that, you are better off at a larger, more expensive Vietnamese establishment. Here you get a quick meal with Vietnamese flavors - not the real deal, but not too far off either. I was just happy to enjoy a bowl of vegetarian Pho, with quantities of plump and juicy mushrooms :-)
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Pho“

“The best bun bo hue Ive had so far that’s including places in china town, Brooklyn and queens. The pho was also good, spring rolls is comparable to the other places we have been to, pretty cool thats in NJ only 15 minutes from Staten Island, because Staten Island have horrible fake Vietnamese restaurants“

“Good food but ridiculous policy. I ordered a combo and asked if i can substitute the spring roll with an egg roll, i advised that i don’t eat spring rolls and i don’t want to throw it in the garbage. The man on the phone stated the boss does not allow that so then i asked if i can substitute it for anything else and he said no. Very weird. What if someone has an allergy, they cannot be accommodated? I’m sorry but that’s ridiculous. Eggs rolls are essentially the same thing as spring rolls, just wrapped in a thicker dough (?) In the end, i had to pay extra for egg roll, so stupid.“
