“This is easily the best pho place in Hoboken. It might even be better than some spots I’ve grown up eating at on the west coast. It’s a no frills spot, so don’t expect some spectacular ambiance, although I find it to be just right.“

“i’ve been here 3 times so far and not once was i disappointed. always consistent quality and friendly service.
i’ve been ordering the pate&bone, morning glory, and sugar cane shrimp for starters. pho ha noi is one of the best pho in the city imo, i’m sure i’ll try other things on the menu eventually 😂
i appreciate their right amount of seasoning, everything tastes balanced and flavorful.
will be going back for sure.“

“My banh mi was high quality and well priced, I would definitely return here in the future.
Roast pork was a little inconvenient take out style though, would prefer a larger bowl with everything mixed rather than meat, rice, and vegetables separate“

“I've had Bahn Mi's all over NYC but this place is the most flavorful. They pack the sandwich with well marinated veggies, the meats are always tender and bread is nice and crusty. The prices are reasonable too at $11. I wish they offered appetizers too like fried spring rolls.“

“If you’re in the Bronx and love Vietnamese food, you are in for a treat. This place is easily one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in New York. The pho is so flavorful and filling especially with the beef and pickled vegetables. The rice and pork with fresh vegetables is so good. The rice goes so well with the crunchy vegetables and the grilled pork chop. Overall, this place is so good.“

Owned and operated by Helen Nguyen who uses her wonderful restaurant to prepare food for those in need for various organizations in NYC. “Just as good as some of the best food you can get in Vietnam. Bun Cha Gio and Banh Cuon Ha No were really good, but the house beef pho was truly exceptional. Service was also fast, attentive, and very kind. Will definitely be going back ASAP.“

“The betel rolls and the pork apps were so good! The pho is delicious as well. I enjoyed my drink but wish there was more chilli salt.
Best of all, is how sweet and smiley the waitresses are. I know how hard the service industry can be, and smiling your way through it can be a whole ‘nother task. Thank you for providing us excellent service with a smile 🩵“

“The pork belly banh mi is the best banh mi I’ve ever eaten ngl. 9.8/10 it j wasnt cut all the way and the veggies ended up being all on one side 😭 the fried spring rolls were delicious too, highly recommend getting those two items. The ribeye banh mi was okay and the original one too. The coconut cream viet coffee is nothing too special and the summer rolls were very refreshing and great to snack on with the peanut sauce. But I will definitely be ordering the pork belly banh mi again.“

“Sao Mai is a family-run restaurant in the East Village that serves traditional Vietnamese staples. We came here on a Saturday night, and the place is packed. They don’t accept reservations, so allow yourselves some time to be seated.
For our group of 4, we were seated early as we chose to dine slightly early. For appetizers, we devoured crispy spring rolls served with lettuce and mint leaves, and crispy calamari with a dipping sauce. Both appetizers were freshly made and delicious.
We then ordered our own entrees. For myself, I selected grilled lemongrass pork chop with fried rice. Everyone enjoyed their dishes; my friend even quipped that it was really a good, unpretentious dinner to be had.
With a good price point and friendly customer service, we can’t wait to come back to try their other dishes.“

“JoJu puts a modern spin on the Vietnamese sandwich, and I’ve enjoyed it several times now. One thing that stands out is their finely shredded đồ chua instead of the more traditional hand-sliced pickled carrots and daikon. It gives the sandwich a different texture and a milder flavor, which may actually be more approachable for people who find stronger pickled flavors off-putting.
I also appreciate their choice of bread. It still has a good bite, but it’s not overly sharp or tough the way some banh mi bread can be, which makes the sandwich much more enjoyable to eat.
The proteins are very well seasoned and marinated. You can really taste the lemongrass and BBQ notes, and overall, it’s a great product. I’m leaving 4 stars only because I added lemongrass chicken to the BBQ pork banh mi, and the extra protein portion felt a bit light considering the added charge. I understand it’s a small business and costs are always a factor, but as a customer, I’d probably skip the add-on next time unless the portion is a little more generous.“

“I honestly can’t remember how many times I’ve been back to this place, but that probably says enough on its own. The food here is genuinely excellent, especially the chicken pho. The chicken is tender, juicy, and full of flavor, and I really like how a squeeze of lime lifts the broth and makes it taste even brighter and fresher. The portions are generous, the service is consistently good, and the restaurant is always clean, well-kept, and nicely decorated. I often come here for lunch with my coworkers, and it has become one of those reliable spots we keep returning to. If there’s one downside, it’s that the restaurant only opens from lunchtime onward, so sadly it’s not an option when I’m craving a good bowl of pho in the morning.“

“I got the OG Pho. It was fine. The flavor was somewhat savory sweet but ultimately just fine. Pork belly bao was similarly savory and satisfying. The hoisin sauce definitely helped.
The best part was the service. Efficient is the best way to describe it. I barely got to talk to my friend because the food was there first.
Overall it was cool, nothing too crazy in my opinion.“

“Very friendly, welcoming, low key restaurant with GREAT prices and equally GREAT food! If i lived in East Village this would be my go-to. They do not use soy sauce and many peanuts for those with allergies. Compared to other vietnamese places they are very accommodating to many diets, but at baseline their menu is safe. Amazing prices.“

“We ate here after 12 hours of travel because it was across the street from our hotel. It may have been the best food of the trip. We are a picky family of four. My youngest (whose favorite restaurant is MacDonalds) scarfed down his chicken pho with enthusiasm. We all got some sort of duck (curry, noodles, and curry noodles) and they were all unique and fantastic. Get the curry puffs.“

“Popped in last night with 4 young adults. The staff were super friendly, really helpful and the Food was probably the best that I've had in NYC this week. Great range of food, reasonably priced and massive portions. The food was super quick arriving but we did not feel rushed at all and enjoyed and lovely evening. Would Recommend!“

“I’ve been eating at this restaurant for over a year now, and honestly, I absolutely love it! I’ve never been disappointed.
The service is always super fast, and I’ve always had a great experience with their customer service. The lady who answers the phone whenever I call to place an order is always so nice and attentive. She always gets my order right, and I’ve never had any issues with her or with picking up my food.
And their sandwiches NEVER disappoint! My favorites are the Spicy Grilled Chicken and the spicy sardine sandwich. They’re honestly so good!
I’m genuinely grateful to have this place so close to where I live. Whenever I want something good, quick, and satisfying, this is one of the first places I think of, whether it’s for lunch or dinner.
After more than a year of coming here, I’m still a happy customer. Definitely recommend! ❤“

“We are local Viet here. I think we found our new Viet restaurant we can frequent. We dined here twice already over the last two weeks. Foods are surprisingly fresh and authentically good in taste. Dishes are generous in portion. Give them five stars to hope they would stay afloat for us to have a good viet restaurant near by.“

“Found a solid spot inside LIC Food Hall — Pho Vital 🍜
They have lots of options and combo meals that are actually worth it. We got the lemongrass chicken rice and grilled pork vermicelli, both super flavorful and surprisingly light. The chicken was so juicy and well marinated, and everything came with fresh veggies on the side.
Also tried the warm ginger apple tea and Thai tea — both hit the spot. Perfect place for a refreshing meal when NYC weather gets hot ☀️“

“I was really craving pho and after some Yelp/Google Review searching, I found Pho Express. I like that they have a build your own pho option, since my favorite meats aren't usually in the same dish. I got the beef brisket, beef tendon, and beef balls. Absolute, hands down, my favorite three meats.
The pho arrived still hot via Doordash and honestly it really hit the spot. They give you so much broth too, I had enough for noods again the next day.“
