“Reliably the best Chinese takeout in the area. The fried dumplings are so good that when my friend and I share takeout, we get an order to share, and we each get our own order for "leftovers". If you really wanna go crazy though, the fried wantons are even better. The ribs are done just right, too. All the standard American Chinese dishes are there, and everything is always very good. My go-to is chicken and cashews and I'm a big fan of how they chop all the veggies into cubes and then the chicken pieces are larger. To me this is exactly what you want from a Chinese takeout. They aren't trying to do anything unique or fancy, they're making the dishes you expect, perfectly. There can be a wait on the weekends, so make sure to call ahead.“

“I am rating ming moon based on the quality of their beef and broccoli, which I have ordered well over 100 times over the span of several years. It is simply the best beef and broccoli I have ever had. As an enthusiast of the dish I make it a point to order it at every American Chinese restaurant I have ever been to for quality testing purposes (my sample size spans multiple states and both coasts). I have also made it myself a number of times. Ming Moon avoids the most common pitfalls of watery sauce and overcooked broccoli. Their recipe and execution are flawless. Thick rich sauce, perfectly cooked broccoli and beef. If they ever close I will consider it a personal tragedy.“

“Recently changed management/owners. I was always a regular through its previous ownership and while it definitely never disappointed me before- I think the new chef and management are upping the ante a bit. I'm not sure what's happening for the recent bad reviews- to me its improved. I did change up what I order now as the "old favorites" do taste a bit different now, but now I have new favorites that I like even more. I find them always friendly and smiling and they're putting a bit more work into the atmosphere of the place. While I do occasionally miss the previous owner / management, just b/c she had become so familiar to me, I have to say that I'm also very happy with the new vibe and slightly different flavors.“
