“Their staff: top notch. Atmosphere: gorgeous, fun and welcoming. Food: consistently delicious, take out OR dine-in. Drinks: For truly authentic margaritas, your favorites and more you can never go wrong. The best part about this place is their obvious commitment to excellence, and dedication to their customers' experience. My favorite part: They have so many gluten, dairy free and vegan options. For authentic and absurdly delicious Mexican fare, this alone truly sets them apart. And their options continue to expand! I have a problem with tolerating a lot of unusual ingredients and they even go out of their way to omit garlic and onion in my dishes. (You can imagine the extra burden on the restaurant and my simple ask of the possibility led to them always going out to their way to make sure my orders are gluten, dairy, onion and garlic free (and still just fricking amazing, 2 extra meals in leftovers). Their social media director (?) Is brilliant, and all their events, social engagement are impressive and I'm just thrilled to have this gem of an establishment here to patronize.“

“My favorite place in the area, as the food is always fresh and delicious! The portions are huge and Sal and his staff are amazing; he can come up with anything even if it’s not listed on the menu. They get busy with lunch rush from the hospital and still manage to get everyone in and out. I highly recommend their spicy falafel gyro! My daughter loves their chopped salmon and her best friend is obsessed with the chopped cheese sandwiches. It gives NYC deli vibes. I come here for lunch every week and have yet to leave unsatisfied. They have vegan options as well and there is something for everyone here.“

We had the tempura sushi, rigatoni with vodka sauce, bruschetta, and zucchini fries- all absolutely delicious and good sized portions! The amaretto sours we chose were delicious and generously sized. “I’ve been looking forward to checking out the restaurant, Dove & Deer, since I first encountered their food when their chef was highlighted at the annual Summer Gala fundraiser here in Hudson last year. Their chef served an incredible amuse-bouche with gooseberries and the chef who was there sharing the amuse-bouches was wonderfully charming and the food was incredible! I was so impressed that I’ve been following their social media since then and have been looking forward to visiting the restaurant all the while! I was recently in the area and while I unfortunately wasn’t able to visit the restaurant in person- I was able to order through Door Dash and the meal was incredible! We ordered an assortment of things to share and were thrilled with everything! -Spicy Kale Caesar with shredded kale, croutons, and shaved parmesan! -Truffle Parm Fries with scallions and truffle aioli! -Mini Wagyu Beef Hotdogs made with wagyu beef, served in buttery toasted buns, and topped with mustard, ketchup, and relish! -Hot Lobster Dip made with lobster claw and knuckle meat, gruyere, gouda, fontina, spinach, scallion, and crispy wontons! It is often very difficult for a restaurant to adjust their menu to translate to takeout; and for them to do so where every single dish was not only delicious but also mostly with a great presentation, says a great deal about their attention to detail. This is a restaurant I look forward to dining at again many more times over the years!“

“The food was delicious! It’s a casual sit-down eatery with a relaxed atmosphere. They don’t serve alcohol, which is worth knowing ahead of time.

We had the spicy dumplings and the spicy Mala beef noodle soup. The soup came with lightly cubed and fried tofu, tofu sheets, crunchy mushrooms, bean sprouts, lean and tender pieces of beef, and fresh ramen noodles in a very spicy, flavorful broth. The portion was generous—one bowl was big enough for two adults to share. The noodles tasted especially fresh and had just the right amount of chew.

The spicy dumplings were delicious as well. I even took some of the ramen noodles from the soup and dipped them into the spicy chili oil from the dumplings, which was very tasty.

For dessert, we tried the Portuguese custard tarts. They were OK, but I’d still recommend trying them. They’re not super sweet and lean a little more savory—think toasted, buttery croissant.

For two people, the bill came to about $48, including a can of Sprite, a can of seltzer, and tax. I tipped $20 on top of that. Service was pretty good overall.

“This place is amazing. I didn't know what to expect going in to the all you can eat restaurant. I was happily surprised that it's not buffet style. Servers and bussers. The restaurant is nicely styled and comfortable. The greeters and wait staff couldn't have been kinder or more professional. $28.99 is worth every penny just for that. The longest we had to wait between orders was no more than 5 minutes. The food was fresh, perfectly presented and absolutely delicious! I really can't find the superlatives to describe it. Everything combined made this experience one of the best outings I've ever had. I HIGHLY recommend this place.“

And the new building and seating are far superior to those in the prior incarnation. Sonya and her family have done it again! For us, Pad Thai Noodle is an essential fixture in the restaurant scene of the Capital District. Their Green Curry (my favorite) and the signature Pad Thai (my wife’s fave) are simply unmatched around here. Highly and unreservedly recommended.“

“This place is so nice and the guy they had out front was awesome. Very friendly and good at making conversation that was appropriate for the situation. As soon as we walked in I could smell how good this place was going to be. The overall atmosphere was a really nice mix of casual and more upscale. Very nice seating arrangements and I loved the nice blue fake fire place. I would definitely recommend them. We also went during a time when it was not very busy about 4pm yet there were still a handful of tables full despite the unpopular time.“

Upon entering the restaurant area this morning I was met by the hostess, Monique, who welcomed me with a smile! My server, Kristy was superb! My breakfast meal was prepared perfectly… from taste to presentation everything was great. I checked, spoke with another staff member named Sandra and learned that the Chef’s name was Andrew. Additionally, the busboy, Justin also checked with me to see if I was ready for my plate to be removed or if there was anything I needed. Good job, Justin! By the way, I am a traveling businessman that goes to a lot of places. I am not a paid Reviewer!!! I cannot say enough good about Mr. D’s restaurant. “The bar & restaurant is an awesome place inside - super comfortable & welcoming - the food is FANTASTIC and so is the beer. (I haven't tried them all yet, but I'll work on it.) None of that is the best part though - the staff, management, the service are the best part. They really look out for you, and are just a great bunch of folks. We'll be back!“

Classic pub style seating and experience. Head up to the bar to order your food and drink, head back with your drinks and wait for the food. Theres tvs showing multiple different games but if youre not there for that the rest of the interior is the perfect astethic for a comfy night at the local bar.
