“Visited S&A roti shop January 3rd, 2020 when we visited New York on our road trip. Met her son at the Nike store in Manhattan and he told us about his mom's place. On our way back to Florida we made a slight detour and I must say we were quite impressed on the taste and quality of the food and friendly service we experienced. “This play is awesome. Ordered lunch on multiple occasions. Had their pernil lunch, steak lunch, pork chop lunch, they all tasted great!!For around $8-$9, they pack up the lunch box for you with rice+beans+(your choice of meat). Everything was seasoned well. They are very consistent with their food. Everytime, it tasted great.Definitely give them a try!“

“We were supposed to eat at another restaurant, Anny, but when we got there, they informed us that they would only accept cash. Yet there was no ATM. We started walking on 116th, looking for an ATM. Instead, we found this place to eat. It's a buffet style place with only one booth style table. The best thing was that the food was good and the price was right.“

Ordered combo three and it came with ALOT of food. The pernil (roast pork) was great, the bistec was just ok. Good flavor but a little tough. Yellow rice and red beans were excellent. The platanos had good flavor but I like them a little wetter and softer. Oxtail was very good.

Empanadas were also solid. I’ve had better but these weren’t bad.

Not the best Dominican food I’ve ever had but this definitely satisfies a craving and nothing like it in the area.

“Got a take out order through the TooGoodToGo app, granted it's always a surprise bag, so we didn't know what we'd get food wise.

The mixed platter was good in terms of portion size and variety of food, but it wasn't very flavorful. Will try this place again and see if going earlier will have a different tune“

“A small family business. Although there was limited seating, we arrived about 5pm on a Wednesday evening and there was seating for the 4 of us. We ordered Cuban sandwiches and they were great. For the first time we also shared an order of Mofungo, it was delicious. The service was excellent and friendly. A true NYC neighborhood experience. A must if you are in the neighborhood.
