“We have been going to the one twenty three for over 10 years. The food is wonderful and has always been consistent. They have wonderful seafood dishes and appetizers. They have some of the largest shrimp I’ve seen in a shrimp cocktail! The tuna tartare is amazing too! The main courses are delicious and really the best filet mignon I’ve had, better than some steak restaurants. Jeff and family are wonderful hosts! Highly recommended restaurant!“

“This place is nothing short of amazing. We went on a recommendation of a friend for our wedding anniversary. As soon as we walked in we were treated like family. When they found out it was our anniversary they gave us a glass of champagne. The calamari was incredible. Not oily and so flavorful. The linguini fruit ti di mara was delicious. My wife had the special with clams and mussels and that too was delicious. They constantly checked on us and made us feel so welcome. For dessert we shared a Carrot cake and it was so fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back. Thank you making our anniversary special.“

“We hosted my daughter‘s bridal shower at J Law and it was everything we hoped for. Clara, Megan, and the entire team were attentive, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout the day. The private event space was ideal, spacious, welcoming, and flexible enough for us to personalize with our own decor. The food was delicious. The service was top-notch and the atmosphere made everyone feel at home. I wouldn’t hesitate to return for another celebration. “Awesome old school bar-style burgers done right! You can tell they care and use quality ingredients. Cheeseburger with caramelized onions, pickles, and their house sauce (it’s kinda like a chipotle mayo) is the perfect combo. The staff and owners are as nice as can be too.“

“I went to Whitlock's a couple of weekends ago and had the absolute best meal. I ordered the French dip and it was mouthwatering good. My server's name was Tisha and she was honestly one of the best server's I've ever meet. Her smile light up the room and she went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were happy from the time I walked in, to the time we left. “We’d flown across the continent from Vancouver to New York, and drove up from Midtown to New Canaan to see something quieter. The moment we parked on Elm Street, it felt like the right destination. The name might belong to old horror movies, but the street was nothing but calm. My wife called it “cute” about a thousand times, and she wasn’t wrong.

We walked the shops, stepped in and out of small storefronts, and followed a narrow back alley when hunger finally caught up with us. That’s how we found Back End — tucked away, sunny, and exactly where it needed to be. The November air was cold, but the day had a clear sky that made everything feel sharp and clean.

Service was friendly and quick. The room had an easy rhythm — warm decor, high stools, tight tables. A space used well. Fun without being loud, relaxed without slowing down. Sometimes you stumble onto a place that matches your mood perfectly. This was one of those.

“We came here because they allegedly had GF (gluten-free) options. Spoke to the waitress about my wife having Celiac's. She handed us a gluten free menu, & walked away. When she came back we were trying to discuss items with her, she was ZERO help. If you have a gluten intolerance, eat here at your own risk. Otherwise it wasn't horrible.. I got a Ruben sandwich, it was pretty good. Seems pretty popular.

“For a restaurant that is so close to 5 star you can literally taste it. They definitely try hard to give you a perfect dining experience and that's commendable. The shock factor for this establishment was it's loud and partitions or background music isn't going to change that, so you lose a bit of intimacy. However if it's decent quisine you are looking for you may be in the right spot. The breaded and fried chicken was good and done correctly however the panko was retaining the flavor of the oil rather than it's own. The brussel sprouts were good but honestly it can do without the bacon bits(that were really hard for some reason). Too many minor nuance's for a five star but I believe the potential is there!“

“So good. My daighter and i are visiting family I havent seen in 20 years and she has never met. First day here we tried this place. What a amazing gem of a place. Excellent chicken parm roll. The bread was just perfect warm, soft and delicious. Got the gyros and that was not as good, it was bad just not good either. Glad I had the roll. Stick with the pizzas and rolls and you can't go wrong.“
