“This was the first time I had been to Rippers in eight years and it is still as good as it was in 2015. The burgers are so flavorful and juicy and came with a special sauce with cheese, lettuce and tomato. It tasted so good. The Fries were topped with salt, pepper and spices. They really have a great flavor and really don't need ketchup. The one thing is that they give you a very generous portion and are perfect for sharing. The view of the shore is amazing and it is nice to hear the waves crashing while you are eating. It puts you in the mood and you can just relax.“
“The only good bar in the entire neighborhood, and great overall. It's the oldest bar in NYC (aside from one in Wall St.) - You might recognize it from GoodFellas.Worth going out of your way for the history, and worth coming to just because. They play the sports games with the volume on. Have to love it.“
“Forest Hills Station House offers a diverse selection of beers and liquors, catering to various preferences. The extensive drink menu provides a range of options, ensuring there's something for every taste. The establishment's commitment to a well-curated beverage selection adds a positive note to the overall dining experience.“
“Finally! A good quality Kosher dairy restaurant in greatneck! Although it’s called Dagim they have way more non fish options than you’d think a restaurant specializing in delicious sushi and fish would have. Everything was amazing. I never had fish that fresh in my life. Service was good the ambiance made you feel like you were dining somewhere in Manhattan. Definitely will be coming back to Dagim!!!Vegetarian options: They had great pastas to choose from, the appetizers and salads were greatKid-friendliness: I had to bring my baby, although we were a small group, they made sure to give us a table big enough where a stroller would fit and we would still be able to dine comfortably“
“Birthday dinner for my husband! Our first time dining here! Amanda, our server was outstanding! She gave recommendations that were superb. We ordered from the Lenten menu the shrimp pappardelle and the scallop risotto. Both dishes were delicious and plentiful. Service was on point, friendly and professional. Sam, a manager, greeted us at the table to make sure we had everything we needed. Birthday dessert was on the house and delicious. I would highly recommend The Harrison!“
“It was date night!!! Double date night that is. My close boy and I planned a secret double date with our significant other. They did not know it was a double until we met up at the door of Salvaje social club. let me just say the ambiance did not disappoint at all, the wild jungle theme had me loving every minute of my walk in and stay. Throughout the night the smoke machine would random blow smoke give the place a misty look. The music was pumping all night long and kept us in an upbeat vibe. The selection of music was mainly Spanish music, they did sprinkle in some English music but for most the night it was reggaeton etc. Although I didn't understand what was being said I surely loved the beat of every song that played. The staff at salvaje was very quick, informative of the menu, polite and friendly. We started off with the seeds of passion which was very tasty and strong. We did two rounds of that drink, couldn't get enough of it lol. I then had a Hennessy and pineapple juice , I don't know what pineapple juice was used but it was so good along with the Hennessy. For starters we had the shrimp toastadas and let me tell you it was amazing , I highly recommend it. Two of us ordered the Milton's rice and the other two ordered chicken on the cut. The rice was well fried and seasoned along with the shrimp, it was just a bit salty but i still loved it, the food really did not let me down at all. We stuck around after eating to drink more and dance a bit during our stay. I'll give Salvaje a 10/10 for vibes 10/10 for drinks 9/10 for Food 10/10 for service 10/10 for ambiance“
“This place has great food. The service was awesome, too. Parking can be difficult to find, however. What makes this place stand out is the waterfront views you get. The food items we ordered to try here were the spinach and artichoke dip, fried chicken sandwich, and a grilled chicken wrap. Everything was excellent. The dip had great flavor. My favorite of these 3 items was the fried chicken sandwich. Loved how it was prepared. But everything we tasted we would recommend. We had a fun time hanging out here.“
“As someone from NJ who doesn't know the area and needing somewhere to "hang out" for several hours, I read the reviews here and I can attest to their being "on the money." TeeDee's is welcoming and a place where everyone "knows your name", if you want them to. The drinks were just like I like them and prices are very reasonable. I wish it was closer to home and I'll be back when in the area!! Go and visit!!“
“This restaurant can lend itself to a very noisy environment. Yet today, with several tables taken, conversation was easy and able to be heard. We have been here several times for brunch and a couple of times for dinner. Delicious salad with greens, grape tomatoes and fresh red onions cut over a chicken milanese. Companions enjoyed their choices of crab cake benedict and a large cubano sandwich served with homemade shoestring fries. Shared their homemade flourless chocolate cakes served with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Three happy people after an excellent brunch.“
“I absolutely loved this bar. The owner, Geordie, was amazing. My friend and I went in and were immediately treated like friends, and that doesn't always happen in neighborhood bars. The decorations were great. They have a pool table and a dart board. The prices are amazing. The atmosphere is laid back. They also have a Jukebox with a lot of good songs. I can't wait to go back.“
“My family and I took a whim on this place and trusted their Google reviews. I'm glad we did. The place is nice, clean with a very nice ambiance. Service was quick, friendly staff, nice music. I took the advice of comments on their Instagram page and their recommendations and ordered the risotto balls, clams, tuna tartar and beef dumplings for appetizers. Entrées were the strip steak, ahi tuna and short ribs. I have to tell you, their food is really, really good! My son got their tartufo for dessert and I had the tres leche. Hubby had a cappuccino. All good feedback. Prices are fair. The entrees are on the higher end but do-able. I hear they serve brunch. I'd like to come back and try. There are many other dishes I'd like to taste as well. They host events and have Italian night Thursdays and offer live music. We will certainly be coming back again.“
“Owned by the same owner as Wild Goose, the food is equally as good. Wild Goose has a vibe that is all about a cocktail scene, while Heirloom tavern is about being able to enjoy a wonderful meal and hear your friends conversation. A real gem that more people should know about!“
“It's a fun place. We enjoy it. I had been there before with my son Jason Rupp. On Labor Day, I went with three other women to enjoy a reception for the art of the Women Surf Film Festival. Great atmosphere and food. I had a vegan taco plate I shared with friend Raquel. Also, I shared a perfect Pina colada with friend Suki Rae. I also liked my cold and refreshing watermelon ? drink. We four danced (including friend Laurie) to the music of the DJ. Friendly place. Laurie and Raquel ordered and loved their Mexican-style corn ? on the cob. Suki liked the fish taco with all the trimmings. You eat picnic-style. While it is not on the beach, this spot is worth visiting. Colorful art. All ages would enjoy it here.“
“Freddie and Andrea crushed it. My first visit, and although it was a one off they treated me amazing. Freddie (although I never asked how he preferred the spelling) absolutely dominated. He missed ZERO and took care of us non stop while he was in. 215 stars, idk how stars work but his were quite “
“I love potato pancakes and was expecting a pancake size order. They were smaller appetizer sizes. I went just for the pancakes and ended up with a fish sandwich in a German Restaurant. It was good, but I felt my choices were either sandwiches or large meals at 2pm.. I'll go back to try something else..Wheelchair accessibility: I'll disabled and didn't need a wheelchair but it's Street level. Parking is on the street as well.“
“IT'S LIKE A CHEERS PLACE WHERE EVERYONE KNOWS YOUR NAME ! LOL NAH IT'S A GREAT LITTLE PLACE JUST TO GO HAVE A FEW DRINKS AND KICK BACK A LITTLE ! PERSONALLY I DON'T DRINK ,BUT I WAS JUST STOPPING THERE TO MEET A FRIEND AND SEEN THAT IT'S A GREAT LITTLE LIKE FAMILY PLACE ! ???????“
“Food here is amazing. Yes it's in a bowling alley snack bar. But it's restaurant quality food. We love there fish tacos. Fresh fish so good. Coconut shrimp crispy and clean. Dad loved there chicken quesadilla prepared good. Intrude the bronx sausage and pork chop dish with broccoli rabe wow they is a great dish. Very reasonable easy parking and good food“
“Nice establishment. Being from Manhattan, I was in the area after a flight from JFK got delayed. Chose to check out this place. Have to say it was a good time... there was a lot of people on a Friday night. Being an Italian American, I was not familiar with some of the items on the menu, as they were more Caribbean based... the staff explained what each thing was. I would definitely come back if I am in the area.“
“The food was great! Enjoyed chicken strips and wings as appetizers for our group. Burger was cooked perfectly, the sweet potato fries were Awesome & the portions were very good. Trying to find parking is the only challenge. So alot time.“
“Would highly recommend calling to make a reservation, Even if it’s a “slow” day. From the moment you walk in and are seated down the servers are very welcoming. Menu is very clear on what’s available but don’t forget about the specials, you might miss out on the deliciousness!! There are 3 areas of seating, it will be up to you if you choose the bar , the booth or the back dinner.“
“My Cubana was made from scratch. My cubano weighs over a pound My coupon nestles on lightly grilled halves of a roll, with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and avocado on the bottom, a thinly sliced, lightly battered pork chop in the middle, juicy sausages, bits of bacon and pickled jalapeños, an omelette with chopped up beef, thin slices of ham, and freshly shredded mozzarella cheese melted on top. I'm pretty sure there were other flavors in the sandwich that I missed, because each layer was a revelation. This thing is HUGE - share with a friend or treat yourself to two solid meals. Highly recommend!“
“Great place to have a drink at good prices and you can bring your own food from nearby restaurants to eat inside or back beer garden. Booked accommodation for family with Mike and he gave excellent service and a great deal for a longer stay. Highly recommend contacting Mike for hotel and event bookings as he cares about his customers and business.“
“Met Rob. He took me under his wing and gave me some history on the place. Family run. Super cool place with great beer selection. I feel like these type of vintage historic places are in fast decline. Thankfully this one is still around. Can’t wait to come back.“
“Came here for a quick beer, kill some time since I came early for a dinner party. Cheap beers, can't go wrong for that . Though that one picture of a whole bar should be taken done, they demolished it and renovated for more space....should of kept it“
“The First day of Snow ❄️ fallen down around NYC , we meeting with friends for dinner, this evening a bit busy we waited for the table around 20 mins..but we enjoyed for happy hour cocktail ? then we got the table we ordered a lot of food , but we loved to ordered Papaya Salad with Salty Egg and Yum Woonsen ,Sautee Morning Glory also..the Staffs were so nice ❤️ If everyone looking for Authentic Thai Food around in Queen - Roosvelt try to visit Play Ground . We will Come to eat very soon.☺️?“
“Amazing bar with the best beer selection in Mineola and surrounding towns by a long shot. I'm a hop head and my partner is not, and we can both consistently find draft beers here that we enjoy. It's a wonderful dive (my favorite type of place), with incredibly warm and knowledgeable manager Bob and the bartending staff. My brother, a huge beer head, visited a few years ago on a slow Saturday afternoon and the Smiths were playing and we were surrounded by Radiohead and Nirvana posters. A perfect experience in my book! Their food selection has changed over the years and I haven't checked out Ike's yet but can't wait for it.“
“This places was great. I walked in thinking I would be disappointed, but was presently surprised. The fries are real good, brussel sprouts were amazing (my favorite) and we also had a meatball sub and fettuccine Alfredo which were given to us free to try out for the new menu. Jimmy our server was also great. All in all, I will be back here when visit la guardia.“
“Visit Date: March 25, 2023I came to The Shannon Rose Pub with a close friend of mine to see the band cover storm. We shared a sausage and jalapeno pepper pizza and I got wild drinkin' them seltzers! There's a cool spot that looks like kind of a window with 3 chairs and it's a cool spot to see the music. I was here once before when my friend Dave who owns top shelf karaoke did a show. I had a pizza when I came to see his karaoke show as well. Shannon Rose is a pretty cool little pub to check out!“
“Held a private birthday party here and we had such a nice time. Great cozy atmosphere, good food and such amazing staff. It’s such an inviting space and Gina was phenomenal to work with in planning the event. Super accommodating, friendly and helpful. I really appreciated how flexible she was with us. Thank you again NVT for the memories made!!“
“I had received a gift card for this restaurant as a Christmas gift and decided to dine out and use the gift card that night. Although I had reserved a table, the wait time was lenghty. The staff were very pleasant and we didn't mind the wait. We ordered the Salmon with capers. It was perfectly done and quite delectable. I would order it again. Thank you. It was a nice dining experience.“
“I flew in from Australia, we got the sky train from the airport to here. Walked out and my friend said. Oh there is a pool table I said let’s go in. We orders a drink each. This place made amazing strong vodka drinks. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The pool table was pretty good. It was for free which was amazing. It was a Sunday so there was sandwiches on the house. Was a good night definitely can’t wait to go back :-)“
“My friend and I came to Smok-Haus around 4:15pm on a Sunday. My friend has celiac and strong dietary restrictions, and the food at Smok-Haus has been alright! My friend mentioned that the owner has personal experience accommodating dietary restrictions, so you may want to consider Smok-Haus if you're looking for a gluten-free option. The interior is homey and like a typical bbq place.I got a classic haus bbq sandwich with pulled pork ($13), and my friend got the double play sampler with pulled chicken, pulled pork, fries, and slaw ($16). I thought the prices were very reasonable, and I would definitely go for the sampler when we return! For my sandwich, the pork had decent flavor and was tender and juicy. I think great pulled pork can stand alone without sauce, but I wish I had gotten sauce. I guess it's not something that automatically comes with the meal, so I have to remember to ask for it in the future. My friend enjoyed the food, and, most importantly, didn't get sick!I feel like bbq places are meant to be family-centered and warm. Service was missing a bit for these elements. There was one check-back and no water refills, and I felt like the overall vibe could have been more welcoming. Nonetheless, being gluten-friendly will keep us returning to Smok-Haus!“
“Love this place. Very friendly and fun staff. The bartenders make great drinks and create a fun friendly experience. The DJ plays great songs. Keeps you wanting rob move all night. Myself and friends have booked parties in the back room which has a retractable roof. This is a regular go to spot for me!!!“
“It was outstanding right from the start. They seated us right away in a perfect area. The waiter came right out to greet us. They brought us water and bread. It was a very delightful experience. The waiter was outstanding. The food was exceptional, and we highly recommend the restaurant.“
“If you’re considering JJ Coopers for a family, birthday or wedding party, don’t hesitate. We booked it on a cold afternoon for the funeral lunch of our uncle, a great guy.The food was fantastic, and the service was better. Amazing cozy atmosphere, and Matt, the event manager, helped me put my Spotify list of Irish, rock and Christmas songs on the sound system. He also loaded my 100 photo slide show (on all the bar TV’s) and helped us set out photos and albums for guests to look over. It was a perfect pubby/foodie/rockin’ send off for a helluva guy.“
“Was there Monday for happy hour. Buy one get one free appetizers is a great deal, can't take leftovers with you, understandable. The Ahi tuna and fish tacos were large portions and delicious. Johanna the bartender was friendly and attentive. The gentleman (dougie?) who came on after her I can not say the same about, he was rude and unfriendly and talked poorly about the previous bartender and a waitress in front of customers.“
“Everything last night was perfect. It was a rainy, lousy night, made fantastic by Park Place. Six of us at the round table, Islanders beating the Bruins on the big screen next to us, and a meal I did not want to end. First of all, our server Maddy's enthusiasm and recos were spot on. She was exactly perfectly attentive, charming and engaging. I asked her about her favorites and she cited the weather and said if you're looking for comfort food...and rattled off quite a lineup. I went with the Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad to start because I knew I was going hearty on the entree with the French Onion Pork Chop special. Phenomenal. Impossibly huge chop, clearly carefully brined. Expertly prepared, hot and juicy. The French Onion gravy was at the same time sweet and savory, rich and just perfect. Sauteed broccoli rabe and butternut squash puree were perfect accompaniments. So many other dishes to try. Looking around our table and watching plates go by on their way to others, it was just sensory overload. We will be back again and again. Thanks Maddy and thanks, Park Place.“
“Went here for a birthday dinner on a Thursday night and was surprised at how busy it was, being that this was my first time here. My steak entree was amazing - juicy, tender, and very tasty. The shoestring fries, mashed potatoes, and rainbow cake were also delicious. Elegant but unpretentious atmosphere, with a very polite waitress. Will absolutely dine here again and recommend to family and friends.“
“Most of the dishes were good, although a little disappointing to see chicken lollipops were made out of Drumsticks instead of the wings. Service was good, but it was expected as the place was deserted when we went for dinner. Ambiance is mediocre. Would go there again only for the food.Vegetarian options: They have all the usual Indian veggie options.“
“Beginnings always offers not only an excellent dining experience, but an interesting one. The food never disappoints and as a first time patron at one of its theme-nights (a murder mystery) it was loads of fun. The wait staff is amazingly efficient notwithstanding all of the diners and actors mingling about. Would definitely recommend.“
“I normally love this restaurant. Last night, though, was somewhat disappointing. I ordered the special salmon, and it was not as fresh as it should've been, having a little bit of a fishy taste. The lady who took our order and recite the menu was exceptional. However, the rest of the service staff was a little disappointing. Hence four stars. I know my other guests very much enjoyed the shrimp entrée that's on the menu.“
“First time trying a Greek restaurant. Our waiter made our experience super memorable; delicious food, great atmosphere, and live music. Our waiter made us feel so welcome and even gave us on the house mojitosWe got the Pastichio and Spinach Pie and they definitely did not disappoint, can’t forget about the lemon potatoes. They also gave us complementary pita bread and tzatziki which were both super yummy! It was our first time eating Greek food and Laterna made us want to try more. Definitely a great find in Bayside.“
“I had a great experience at this restaurant. my husband and I went there for our anniversary and had cubano sandwiches and raw clams for a meal. The food was delicious but a bit pricey and this is definitely a place I would recommend for a family dinner or casual date.“
“Great prices on drinks you won't find anywhere else - although they do not serve food, won't mind you bringing outside food and eating there - friendly staff and very attentive to the crowd - awesome music and ambiance - although far from where I live will be making another appearance soon!“
“I'm a huge fan of small town bars. Love this place and the Vibes it carries with it. Something about uncommercialized bars that I love. They have a pool table which isn't the best but definitely does the job. Pool is $2 a game. They have cheap beers in tap and also had UFC on which is a huge plus.“
“Feel like being back in Thailand! I have eaten here too many times not to leave a review. Growing up in Bangkok , this place brings back good childhood memories. Noodle with clear broth is my all time favorite. The taste is authentic, the ingredients are fresh. I especially love the crispy pork rind toppings. The portion is not too big , just like the portion you would generally find in Thailand. I always have room to order dessert or sweet drink after. Wish there is a location in Manhattan, then I would be there every weekend :)“
“amazing experience if you ever go there ask for the server terrel. hes very funny and a nice humble gentleman. i swear out of 35 years of my life this might be the best server i ever had. the food was amazing i got the salmon and it was cooked perfect and so tasty“
“The new ownership is just what this Mineola institution needed to refresh its brand. The staff is friendly/laissez-faire in that typical "Long Island" way (if you live here, you get it). The bar side can be a bit cramped on busy nights but the restaurant side is very spacious. The copious number of TVs make it ideal for Sunday football and they do occasionally rent the space for private events. The menu has been updated and upgraded but still retains that bar food charm. The wings are of the well-done variety, if you like that and are plenty spicy (although, your taste may vary). I enjoyed the addition of hot pepper flakes on their hottest wings. The baked clams, giant pretzel and quesadillas are perfect apps while the full menu is surprisingly extensive with meatloaf, pot and Sheppard's pie, and a triple meat blend burger that knocks it out of the park. Prior to my last visit, it had been years since visiting Cornerstone and I'm glad I found my way back to this solid neighborhood pub.“
“The Broadway Tavern is a place tucked away in Malverne and is a great place for people to meet and socialize. They have many different events every week to keep everyone happy. The outdoor garden is a hidden gem where you can hold family gatherings and have a great time. They have great entertainment on weekends and provide the best in service. Malverne should be pleased to have such a great establishment!“
“Patronized on a Thursday. The bartender commented she was glad the music cocked out by a mistake and I had to gladly agree, because it indeed was a vibe, but obnoxiously too loud to even converse without screaming in your neighbors ear. The food was really good. Lamb was a little too well done, but I just sampled a piece from my friend. She may have ordered it that way. I didn’t like that the food took way too long to arrive. The drinks were good and strong. The tacos and my friends’ entree (the lamb) arrived first leaving me feeling awkward waiting. When I did receive my food, as I was enjoying the last of it, my friend got the check so we could pay and not have to wait as we wanted to leave by a certain time. Unfortunately, as we paid our bill the bartender automatically threw napkins in my 2/3 finish entree. Subsequently, she took away my meal before I could completely finish it while simultaneously dumping my condiments all over by accident. What an icing on the cake. The food was actually good, so I am complaining that I didn’t get to finish it.Lastly, I was able to park in the childcare parking lot adjacent to this business. Would I return again yes, but probably not at the bar.“
