“I was out today riding my motorcycle over the mountain and stopped in for a twist cone. Your chocolate and vanilla ice cream is so rich in flavor. I remember if correctly it was called Juergen's Place back in the 1960's.”

“Ate here on 11/8. The food was good. I had the miso soup, Kani salad, and the tempura roll dinner, and everything was fairly priced.

The service is where things fell short. This place gets packed, and I wish someone had mentioned that a reservation is basically necessary. The host was not rude but felt cold toward me and my friend and could not provide even a rough estimate on the wait. They only told us that it is better to have a reservation. Our server was great, but the front-of-house team really needs to work on greeting guests and giving basic wait-time information. Total wait time was around 20 minutes.

“My girlfriend and I dined at Butterfield during our stay in the Hudson Valley from October 17th to 19th, and it was truly one of the highlights of our weekend. A huge part of that experience was thanks to Peter, whose service was nothing short of exceptional — professional, attentive, and genuinely warm.

Peter went above and beyond to make our evening memorable, offering great conversation and fantastic local recommendations for vineyards to visit and even a whiskey distillery, Tuthilltown, which ended up being one of the standouts of our trip.

The food was excellent as well. My girlfriend ordered the roasted chicken, and she said it was the best she’s had in quite some time — and she’s a publicist in NYC who frequents fine dining establishments, so that’s high praise.

Peter’s combination of hospitality, local insight, and sincerity elevated our dinner from simply enjoyable to truly unforgettable. Butterfield and Hasbrouck House are lucky to have him. We’ll definitely return on our next Hudson Valley visit.

“I have been going here since I attended Ulster Community College in late 2000's. Food is good, location great. Not one change to the establishment since prior to 2000's. Same setup. Would be nice to see a makeover. Mozzarella sticks and ginger ale rang up $15. Insane.”

“I jus wanna thank the people at stone ridge Dunkin for making my day better because today I was in Kingston n made the mistake of going to the dunkin donuts out there because of the drive threw n sadly to say they didn't even come close to making my frozen dunkachino properly and they jus threw all my donuts in a bag so they were all stuck together which upset my son that some his chocolate frosting was stuck to the bag any way I stopped at stone ridge to get the drink i paid 5 buck for n they made it better then perfect and at no charge cuz kingstons mess up ...thanks again guys !!!!!!!”

“Visited Garvan’s today for the first time for a late lunch in the Pub. We started with Mexican Street Carrots. So delicious! My husband had the traditional Irish breakfast and I had the lamb stew. Both meals were excellent. Wish we could have had dessert, but we were so stuffed. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. We’re looking forward to visiting again.”

“I could scream this place is so good. Went on a totally random whim looking for something nearby and holy hell this place is incredible in every way and if I lived anywhere nearby I would basically move in.

The vibes are amazing - such highly curated art and seating from intimate booths to living room sofas and chairs. There’s tons of varied seating up front and then more tables and a wraparound bar in the back. It feels like a cozy 70s basement bar in Greenpoint.

Then there’s the food, omg. We tried the deviled eggs, fried chicken, brisket nachos, fries, and kale salad. All were 10/10. And cocktails were also delish.

Fave new place and will seek it out at all costs any time I’m upstate.”

“100% recommend novellas! We just recently celebrated our wedding there and we had the best. Time. They made the entire wedding process so easy for us, with menu items, decor, timelines, everything. You name it, they did it! Bryce, Chloe, and their entire team were so helpful and kind. So willing to step up to plate, and the food was DELICIOUS. Super affordable and convenient as well, and they answered any and every question they had. Our special day was made even better thanks to the wonderful work of their staff and the beautiful scenery of their venue. My guests and family were overjoyed and welcomed happily by all of them, and I’m incredibly grateful! This place has become like family, and we’ll be back as often as we can now because of their professionalism and kind hospitality! Thank you guys!!”

“THE BEST CROISSANTS I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Seriously just amazing! The veggie quiche is so flavorful and the crust is buttery and flaky! The croissants are huge and also buttery and flaky. The texture and taste are both matched for the best around! Even better then ones I’ve had at popular bakeries in NYC. This spot is a hidden gem! Don’t sleep on this place! Their hospitality is out of this world! They have great prices for their chai lattes as well! I’ve been coming every day on my lunch break for a large iced chai latte and they only charge me $5.50! It’s just amazing and Starbucks doesn’t have anything on this place and their chai lattes and pastries!!”

My Grandmother has passed and I am constantly on the hunt for pierogi that are just like hers. Helena's is as close as I can get. They are made with love, by hand and with care. You meet Helena's mom working the counter and feel the genuine and heartfelt concern, not only for the food they make but for you their customer. I make a trip, over an hour, at least twice a year and load up on the best tasting pierogi in and around the Hudson valley. If you like pierogi, it's a must try.”
