“Tarry Tavern for dinner: Mom had Seared maine sea scallops with local corn and leek risotto and I got the roasted Hudson valley duck breast with pecan cranberry wild rice and sunchoke purée. Unreal. Mom cleaned her plate at a restaurant for the first time in ages and mine was to die for. We shared the pumpkin pecan bread pudding for dessert. Outstanding experience with excellent, friendly service“

“From the drinks I had, the Gambler's Old fashioned, through the appetizers of mushroom raviolis, stuffed mushrooms and crab cakes to the very good mains three filet mignons and three loaded baked potatoes and one plain mac & cheese and one bread pudding desert, everything was very good. One of the filets the 8 oz one was a bit overdone and not pink as ordered. The two 11 oz filets were pink inside exactly as ordered.“

“My wife and I were there for a political function combo meeting and Christmas luncheon. This establishment is super clean, bright, and cozy. The food and wine were delicious. I had chicken parm. Was fantastic. Was batted down thin and breaded and seasoned to perfection. VERY tender, I only had to use my folk to cut. The marinara was fresh semi chunky lite delicious and perfect. The fresh bread came in handy to clean up my plate. My wife has a fresh pasta marinara dish and NO complaints there. My friend and I both had the minestrone soup and the fennel salad with shrimp, expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned. Capping off our experience, our reservation was intentionally set for 6:30 PM - in August 2024, Saturday dnnertime entertainment is jazz standards in chord melody form expertly played by Raphael Silverman on a gorgeous Gibson Johnny Smith archtop guitar through a Henrikson Bud Six amp. “On a beautiful October Sunday I took two friends out to Brunch. We were all really taken with the drinks first of all. They were delicious and interesting..even ordered a second one! The food is very very good. I had a Truffle omelet that was done to perfection and served with truffle fries and a salad that is reminiscent of French salad...simply and perfectly dressed.
