“Phenomenal from start to finish!! We were lucky to have the place to ourselves for an early dinner. Dani, co-owner & chef, greeted us with a warm welcome. You could tell right away she had a genuine interest in making our experience special. We started out with a creamy, simple burrata that came with homemade focaccia. The bread was SO perfect. We each had salmon with Israeli couscous and broccolini. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired nicely with the wine suggested by Dani. Then dessert…it was so difficult to pick just one!!! So we got three! Ana, the other owner, is the evil genius behind the to die for desserts!! Tiramisu, mascarpone cheesecake (we took it to go) and an apple cider donut with vanilla ice cream. (The donut was so absolutely divine that my boyfriend ordered a second serving!!) And can I just say the cappuccinos were on point! My mouth is watering just thinking about it all again! I hope others visit and enjoy the fabulous food, service and atmosphere at Mambo. We don’t live around the corner, but will definitely make the drive back because the whole experience was just that good. I wish Dani and Ana much success. For mains we had the sea bass and lamb parpadelle, incredible! Braised for 9 hours, it was delectable. The service is wonderful, everyone is so kind. “The dining experience was perfect. The hardest thing was figuring out what we liked the best. The asparagus salad was an impeccable blend of flavors, perfectly complementing one another. We suspected and confirmed that the smoked ricotta with unfortunately done on the premises and therefore we couldn't purchase it. The app size pastas were more than enough and each one better than the other. Never thought I could put the word carbonara and light in the same sentence. We don't usually get dessert, but because it was a birthday or we got the special carrot cake, again simple, perfection, light and moist paired with a not too sweet caramel sauce, and vanilla gelato.“
