“Stay Away!!! Just kidding, this spot is popular and rightfully so for all the right reasons. The atmosphere is bot chill and warm for lounge lizards wanting a great watering hole. The drinks are fantastic, The Monk Fashioned being my favorite, reminds me of a magical Sazerac. The food here is delicious too, been a couple times and look forward to returning again soon. Love the Sweet And Salty Grilly with Gruyère, Prosciutto, Fig Spread, Arugula on Sour Dough. The Fonduey Mac & Cheese is also a cooze fest of cheesy goodness, also the Whipped Feta with the Everything Bagel Pretzel. Always love to get the Crab Cakes. Though I’m eyeing the Skewered Thighs for next time they look like a divine dine. Fortunately we’ve gotten in without a reservation, though I’m sure it’s good to have one.“

“You have to get your silverware, clean table, get your own drink. However, my turkey sandwich was delicious. I would return to Uptown Garrison again to eat the same sandwich. I have never had such a scrumptious sandwich. I am still thinking about the sandwich as I write this.“

“I went to this establishment on Cinco De Mayo and when I mean they are the sweetest people ever. It’s a family owned restaurant and the atmosphere gives that. Me and my cousin was served right away. The drinks were delicious and the tacos 5 out of 5. Although I didn’t get to experience their entire menu because they just made a menu for that day I was so pleased. I had a conversation with one of the workers who took time out to speak with me and my cousin she gave us the history of their restaurant and more. God bless them. They gained a returning customer for sure. Can’t wait to go back and experience the full menu. “I had an amazing time at this restaurant from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy vibe that makes you want to stay longer than planned. The staff was attentive without being overwhelming, and everything felt genuinely welcoming.

“To say Liffy Bar II is a hidden gem is an understatement. For my Birthday I wanted a cute local bar to celebrate with friends and enjoy the evening. Kirby was excellent at communicating with me and kept me informed which was incredibly convenient. Dierdre was so pleasant to speak with and answered any questions I had, and Joe was an amazing Bartender and kept everyone happy. Cheers to a great staff. I cannot recommend this place more. “As soon as I walk in, I got automatically seated at the bar by the host and Megan, my bartender gave me the menu (dinner and happy hour) with her warming customer service hospitality.

The interior of the bar is so dope with the neon light with television for sports. They also have a DJ booth for music. I will recommend people to check this place and enjoy their time in the scenery!“

“Delicious food, everything we had was amazing and full of flavor. Everything comes in small portions we got the large tuna tar tar for $24 and it was only 4 small pieces but very delicious nonetheless. We loved the wagyu sliders they were so juicy, the fries were not worth the truffle up-charge. The bao bun flight is also very good we really like the shrimp and chicken ones. The chicken tacos were also really good and one of the more filling things we ordered. Restaurant is very small so make a reservation to be safe.“

To find it, go in the unmarked wooden door on the way up to the train tracks. Definitely worthwhile and a place I will come back to when I am in the area.“

“Wife and I flew into JFK late one Friday. We were famished , it was 1030 by the time we got to Arthur Ave.. We parked and walked , came upon people eating alfresco. We asked if any place was still serving. The "MAN" Vic asked what we would like, from one of the tables. “Delicious food, good service, and a massive selection of agave-based drinks. Lovely ambiance / decor inside, and the dishes/bowls that they use are also lovely (and for sale, apparently). The place is among the most expensive in the neighborhood by a decent margin, but you certainly do feel like you're having an elevated experience (and the food was surprisingly filling).
We started with the trio of moles which were delicious, though the lightest one they offered did taste surprisingly close to vodka / tomato sauce, they provided tortillas which was nice but not nearly enough (we had to ask for more and then they charged us extra for it, despite not giving us enough the first time). The menu is rather short, so make sure there are things you like before going. The tlayuda with added meat was delicious, as were the tacos (which were $10 each) and the fluke aguachile also good (watermelon in summer is always a welcome treat).“

We started off with grilled artichoke hearts with lemon vinaigrette & shaved pecorino toscano - a nice antipasto - and then shared two pizzas: the spicy Picca (tomato sauce, fontina, hot sausage, red onions, chillies) and the Norma (tomato sauce, fried eggplant, ricotta, pecorino, garlic & basil).

Both were really good - with soft, pillowy, lightly-charred Neapolitan-style crust - but the zesty Picca had the edge (the Norma was slightly bland / under seasoned).
