“When you travel, you seek to find outstanding restaurants. Sometimes you win, other times, you don't. The Hudson House is a great find, a winner at every turn! From our initial greeting by the owner, Matt, to the great staff who didn't miss a beat, to the most critical part, the food, there wasn't a moment of regret. We started with a couple of tables shares. We had cheese plate with 3 cheeses, homemade fig jam to die for, fresh thinly sliced honeycrisp apples, delicious grapes, and an oil-infused crustini. Perfect start, followed by the burrata and pumpkin seed salad with carmelized pears and sweet potato chunks. I didn't think it could get better after this. I tried the sweet potato and fennel soup, very warm and hearty on a cold night, and the taste was just as I hoped! A beet and farro salad with radishes hit the mark! My partner had a fresh halibut that was cooked to perfection, served on ramen noodles and baby bok choy, with an array of fresh mushrooms, with a gentle but flavorful broth, but not enough to be called soup. To me, one of the best fish dishes I've tasted in a long time. Our guests, the wedding couple, ordered duck breast confit, and hanger steak. The duck, one of her favorites, was tender, most, cooked properly and seasoned well. It was a hit with her and her mother. The hanger steak was the choice of the groom, a very picky eater. He couldn't stop reaching about how amazing it was! Sadly, we were so full, we couldn't eat dessert. All the desserts are homemade by the owner, and they sounded unbelievable. But I'll have to return another time to speak to them. Finally, ask to sit in the jail cell. The pictures tell only some of the story. It's a wine cellar, a hidden romantic getaway, a reprise of days long gone. Or have a seat at the bar with the locals. Or just come and see the beautiful tin ceiling and walls. No matter what you do here, you won't be disappointed.“

“I don't usually write reviews on Google but I feel compelled to write in support of Lisa, Dan and The Tasty Table. My husband and I are frequent weekend guests at The Tasty Table because we like the food and the way we are treated as guests. I've noticed some less than positive reviews focused on difficulties getting a table during their busiest weekend times. This should indicate to all who are interested in going to The Tasty Table of how wonderful a restaurant it is. My suggestion is to take advantage of the 30 minute call aheads that are offered. You won't be disappointed!“

“We were in Nyack to walk around before we headed back to BK and thought we'd stop for coffee and a pastry. I was hoping for a cappuccino but the machine looked like it was out of use so I got a black coffee -- not bad. What was great was the apple tart: lots of juicy apples, delicious crème patissiere, and a laminated crust. The pastries are HUGE -- the apple slice was more than enough for both of us. They have a small selection of macarons, which we didn't try, and a lot of other pastries (no eclairs, alas). Plus it seems to be a family owned business. I would definitely go back.“

Our party of 4 ordered 3 appetizers, 4 entrees and had a collective total of 6 beverages and the total bill was under $200 - very reasonable for a Saturday night out $100 per couple. The restaurant is lovely aesthetically, and the night we dined there was a fabulous guitar player that just sealed the vibe. The only reason I took a point off for ambiance was that we were sat inside at the tall floor to ceiling windows that leaked rain as it was pouring outside. Our hosts were aware and of course were kind and accommodating (it wasn't so bad that we had to move but enough that they came over to ask if we were disturbed) — a leak in the ceiling is a leak in the ceiling, so I couldn't give a 5 for this particular meal's ambiance but it would not remotely deter me from going there again.“

“I loved my visit to the My Father's House Southern Cuisine. The food was delicious. I had the Pecan Crusted Salmon Baked Topped with Honey Glazed Pecans served with Caramelized Yams & Collard Greens. So good. The collards had a kick which was a surprise delicious. Our soft drink was the Carolina Sunrise Punch delicious, seriously. The biscuits and cornbread muffins again delicious. My granddaughter had fried chicken wings with French fries and a vegetable from the youngins menu she was well pleased. The server was warm and friendly lie everyone there. The ambiance was delightful with live entertainment. The drive was worth it and made my birthday a true delight. I can't wait to go again. The area is quaint and quiet.“

My favorite is their onion soup which is made with a chicken broth and not beef broth making it a lighter soup but also deliciously loaded with the cheese we all love on an onion soup. The appetizers and just perfect and entrees are delicious. To finish the meal they have a Chocolate or Grand Marnier soufflé and many other desserts that are delightful. Check their website menu and enjoy, we always do.“

“Came to Sander's to get some kosher baked goods for my coworkers. I really wanted to get some donuts, but it was too early in the morning, and they were still baking them. Ended up getting some rugelach that were fresh from the oven. The rugelach were a hit in the office. The staff really liked them. My coworker who was kosher really liked them too. A bunch of people just kept eating them throughout the day. The rugelach were delicious. The chocolate was good. The pastry wasn't too sweet. The vanilla ones were great too, but I really liked the chocolate ones the best. They have a dress code that they post in front of the store before you go in. Make sure you wear closed toe shoes, cover your knees, and shoulders. It shouldn't be a problem in the winter though. If you want some good baked goods, Sander's is a great option. If you're like me and wanting to pick up some kosher pastries, I would check which certification your friend/coworker accept as there are many they may or may not eat.“

“This review is about Cafeteria at Stone Barns: Lunch Tray. They have one daily menu featuring their produce from the farm. Lunch tray is consist of small plates priced around $50, which sounds a bit pricey for the portions, but I assume the ingredients are fresh and high quality. When I went there, the lunch menu was some pickles, cured meat, taco and bread - everything was sour - even the dessert looking cake was sour. Balance of the meal was a bit disappointing, so got a small apple for $2, which was soggy and bruised inside, but I liked their coffee.It is a beautiful place for a getaway from the city - an hour drive from Manhattan. The lunch tray could be hit or miss since they only offer one set menu, which you don’t know until you get there, but they have pretty outdoor tables surrounded by nice garden. I would come back for another try later.“

“I had one of the greatest dining experiences at this restaurant a few weeks ago. Everything I expected from a great restaurant was available here. We were greeted at the door. Decided to sit at the bar. Bartender was very friendly and professional. The menu had a ton of options. We decided to go with the mussels and skirt steak. Just amazing. Mussels with fresh and steak was cooked exactly how we ordered. The bread was so delicious we ordered twice - slightly toasted and warm and soft on the inside, perfect for dipping with broth. Sangria is perfect and very refreshing. This is the type of place I will be returning to very soon!“

The sashimi dinner is a lot of fish. I actually don't order it bc I like my fish sliced thinner, they give big think slices which is a good value, but not my preference. Salad dressing is too oniony.
