“I'm a fan of, and regularly attend, Naughter's Midnight Breakfast. Whether you are trying to wind down for the day with a cup of coffee and a conversation , want to get a nostalgia hit while searching the impressive collection of cassettes for your favorite artist, or you're an unawakened, "Foodie," there for the daily specials that are [always] worth foregoing your, "Usual;" you'll quickly learn to adopt Naughter's as your last stop in Troy. I traveled around the world with the military, learned to cook like a Southern Italian during Christmases with my family in Foggia, experienced the tremendous variety of cuisines in Asia, but had to travel to a hidden diner in Troy NY to be introduced to my new favorite soup, Vichyssoise.“

“Chez Mike doesn't disappoint. Often when my husband picks me up at the train station we have dinner there. The cocktails, food and service were as good or better than my meals in NYC and a great value for fine dining in the Capital District. Our server, Cameron, was friendly and attentive even when the place really filled up. Two delicious cocktails, a glass of wine, two appetizers, an entree and dessert were under $120. I actually like the strip mall vibe on the outside hiding the awesomeness inside. Chez Mike is a real find.“

“Lucky ? to have stopped at The Bunker during our stay in Greenbush. We sat at the bar and our server Lauren was so attentive, friendly and made a delicious dirty martini. The food was excellent! We ordered the salmon tacos and Philly cheesesteak, both scrumptious! Actually, I order fish tacos quite often and these were the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely stop in again when traveling through the are.“

“We decided to try Albany Ale and Oyster House on a chilly, rainy Wednesday afternoon since we had to be on New Scotland Avenue for an afternoon doctor appointment. I'm so glad we did, and also happy we arrived just as they were opening because we were able to sit at the bar and visit with one of the owners, Mia. We tried a flight of beer opting for all pilsners, one each from Italy France, Czechia and from our own New York region; all tasty, just the right amount of foam and nice and chilled. I ordered the Beyond brat which comes with comes with kale slaw and honey mustard, crispy potato chips in a brown paper bag for soaking up the oil and keeping them crispy, and a mixed green salad with the best sesame honey dressing. I love good salads and this one was perfect, with dressing on each lettuce leaf. Mia said they take their salads seriously, and you can tell. My partner had the Reuben and he proclaimed it the best he ever had. Overall the taste, presentation and preparation of the food was perfect. Combined with the cozy atmosphere and the friendliness of the owner and all who work there; Albany Ale and Oyster House is now one of my top favorites in the areaVegetarian options: In addition to the Beyond Brat they offer Beyond Burger and some interesting salads.“

“We got a fantastic meal here late on a Thursday. We had a view of the kitchen from where we were seated at the bar. The from-scratch cooking looked so good that it had two vegetarians salivating over ham hocks. We split a loaded veggie burger (note that they can make this vegan, because everything is made to order) and an opera cake and I enjoyed an amari flight. I'm looking forward to our next visit!“

“A southern brunch that was so good. 4 of us went to celebrate a birthday and we all enjoyed it immensely. I had the Dad and it was absolutely delicious. We loved the fried green tomatoes, and the tater tots. I had a bourbon bacon bloody Mary that was out of this world. I can't wait to go back!Parking: Street parking was available and they have a lot behind the building.“

“Amazing place, everyone there was very nice and had excellent service. The food was also delicious. My partner and I ordered a turkey club and it was great with a large enough portion to leave us satisfied. If you get the chance, go to Babes. They close earlier than most places you can eat, but it's very worth it. Great prices, great food, great portions and great service.“

“We have brunch at the city beer hall, pretty much every week. I am famous for having the same meal every time. The steak and eggs. The steak is always cooked perfectly medium rare. The eggs are sunny side up and delicious. Home fries and a side salad round out the perfect breakfast. My partner also always orders the same meal. Fried chicken with macaroni and cheese. When we go for dinner If you are a French onion soup fan I have a huge suggestion. The French onion soup is what I call a "destination dish " It is a delicious change from the norm. The service is always fast and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable. We have been customers here since the first week and will continue to be. The bar area, the dining room with its communal tables, the patio in the summer time. This has been our go to place for the past 13 years. Keep up the great work, the food, the hospitality, the overall experience is what a beer hall should be.“

“Mouth-watering and thoughtful menu with creative, nuanced and seasonal inspirations for both food and beverage options. I was very impressed by the shishito peppers, general tso’s chicken bites, french dip and the espresso martini. The apps were perfectly battered, crispy and flavorful. The French dip just hit so right- tender meat, savory au jus, warm, perfectly toasted bread. The fries were perfect- exactly what you’d imagine if you are craving fries! And the highlight of our entire night was our bartender Halsey. Her genuine care in curating our experience cannot be matched. She made great suggestions, interjected with playful humor, read when our group wanted time to chat amongst ourselves, and made a PHENOMENAL cocktail. I mean, the most serious espresso martini anyone could hope for without the overstated hipster flair. 10/10. Would go back just for her. Watching her interact with her other bar guests was also a treat- it’s easy to see how she can command the room & keeps a mighty fine bar! Will certainly be back!“

The service is also very good no matter who your server is. Most of them are family members of each other and they all give you the same quality of service. Their gravy fries are SO delicious“

“This place is a local staple! I am not sure if they are your typical beef 'hot dogs', to me they taste more in line with a Polish variant involving beef and pork. Close to Kielbasa but not quite. I don't think $5 can get you further anywhere else but Gus's.“

“An old friend recommended this place more than a year ago, so I was glad to finally be able to try their food. What stops me from being even more enthusiastic is ultimately the food. While I enjoyed my lamb gyro and also liked the hummus and rice on my companion's mixed shawarma platter, it fell short of taking me back to the best gyro/kebab I ever had in Petersham, Australia, of all places. You could say it's a different style, etc. but I hoped for something outstanding. Despite being a fast casual joint, they do have a good number of tables and chairs, and have a comfy vibe, although I would've liked to see napkins on the table at a minimum. I also appreciate that they bring the food out. They have their own parking spaces right outside. I hope they continue to do well.“

“Food was excellent. Went there before the Springsteen concert. They were full as anticipated. But that was the whole point. The food and atmosphere were great. The service was very slow and made us late. They kept saying they were busy for the concert but that was the entire point. So would go back when not rushed. Good food. But we had to rush so couldn't enjoy it.“

“It started out a little rocky due to the hostess being confused on who was waiting first and yet they wrote down our names lol but me being me I took over to help and everyone was seated in the correct order. Our waitress was one of the best waitresses that I've had in my life! She was attentive to my children and myself. She laughed with us and gave us her recommendations. The ambiance is cute it has a boat vibe. The challah French toast was good as well as the classic breakfast but the turkey bacon is nasty for sure, I'm not sure what brand they use but they need not to use it any longer.“

“Well, they are two for two with our visits and review of 5 Stars! Our waitress, Samantha was our server again. As pleasant and on top of service as before. I went with the pastrami Reuben and my wife ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. The bread/toasted just crisp, the meat(s) were on the nicely rare side. The sides, steak fries and macaroni salad were excellent!! Real Heinz ketchup, a must with fries! Beverages were on tap. Only slight issue were the nacho and salsa appetizer, chips are just so so and salsa the same. Would not order again. Ambiance was great (big screen TV) and warm decor. Looking forward to another trip soon. Thanks again, love all the locals at the bar too!!“

“It’s a nice vibe in there. Lots of different types of people and I like the layout of the place. My only thing is that it was really warm in the bathroom like uncomfortably so, but it wasn’t that big a deal, just something I remember noticing. Live music is fire ? I can’t speak on the food I didn’t get any but the mixed drinks were type strong . I would return. Bartenders were quick and friendly enough.“

“Went searching for a classic Maurice's roast beef au jus and found this place that hit the spot very nicely. Sandwich was flavorful and delicious and macaroni salad was fresh. Lots of great specials like a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. We'll be back. Only negative was the seating area isn't very comfortable and the onion roll was spongy. My friend chose the same sandwich on a hard roll and it was fresher and higher quality. All in all a good deli experience right down to the crisp fresh pickles.“

“What a legendary experience. We were at Hill St Cafe and called to see if they had garbage plates and they did! “I ordered garlic, Parmesan wings from Dutch's Place for lunch today. The wings were even more tender than any other place I have tasted them. And the garlic and Parmesan permeated the wings as well. The only thing missing was the blue cheese sauce. I called Dutch's and they said that I didn't have it listed on my order. I then checked my phone, saw that it was indeed on my order and called GrubHub to confirm it, indeed it was on the order they had. It would've been an extra boost to the wings, which needed no additional support, but would've kicked things up a lot . GrubHub gave me $3.24 off of the bill because of this which was pretty nice. Minus that though, everything was pretty good.“
