“I must say I’ve never met a kinder individual in my life. Mr. Oli works the front and cooks all the food. He is the kindest man you’ll ever meet and is one hell of a chef. The service here is impeccable and everytime I’ve come they’ve extended their kindness to allow me to try new sauces, food, etc. The chicken is absolutely fantastic especially if you live hot chicken in any capacity. “Tried a new halal Chinese spot in Valley Stream and it did not disappoint! The chicken wings were crispy and packed with flavor, the lo mein and fried rice were so fresh and satisfying, and the chicken eggrolls were perfectly crunchy. The beef broccoli in garlic sauce was definitely a standout — super tender and full of bold taste. They also have bubble tea, which was just okay, but the food made up for it. Such a cute little place and a great option for halal Chinese in Valley Stream!“

A friend recommended Halal Express while I was trying to figure out what to grab for lunch, and I’m glad they did. It turned out to be a solid choice.

Parking was easy, which is always a plus. Just note that it’s metered parking along Sunrise Highway and Atlantic Avenue, but I had no trouble finding a spot.

The staff was pleasant and welcoming from the moment I walked in. Service was fast, which is perfect when you’re on a lunch break and don’t have time to wait around.

I ordered the Lamb gyro and it was delicious. The Lamb was flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. Everything tasted fresh.

Eunice was a great host and made the experience even better. You can sit inside and eat if you’d like, but I decided to take mine to go.

Overall, great food, fast service, and friendly staff. I’ll definitely be back.“
