“We are so happy that we decided to use Blue Eyed Baker for our wedding desserts! We ended up with a clear vision of multiple different desserts that we wanted, and Madelyn and the entire team made everything come to life exactly as we pictured. From making custom tasting boxes so we were 100% sure of our flavors, to working with our florist to get matching flowers on the cake, everything was very clear from start to finish. And it all tasted amazing too! Our venue was a bit of a drive away from the bakery (Akron from East Aurora), but delivery was on time and flawless. (The cherry on top was that I knew our delivery person from a dance job years ago - thanks Becca!) I'd recommend Blue Eyed Baker for any event dessert needs, I only wish that I lived closer to East Aurora so I could come in more often!“

“I think this may be my favorite dinner I've ever visited in Buffalo. We arrived around 2:15 pm, and they close at 3 pm, so clearly they aim more for the breakfast to lunch crowd, because the place was empty except us. They offer little donut bits as appetizers, which was a new one on me. Good stuff, too. Apparently all their food is made on premises, including the donuts. The staff (owners I think?) were super friendly & accommodating. The space is comfortable without being run-down, nice without being stuffy. There's also a covered outdoor area, but it was too muggy out today so we stayed inside where it was cooler. The music was just classic rock, and was very background, to the extent that it doesn't impede a conversation, so basically perfect. Mum got the tuna melt, was very satisfied, and I had the veggie skillet with pepper jack, which was tremendous. When asked what kind of cheese, there were 6 options (cheddar, provolone, and so on), so I said "surprise me" because they all sounded good. She narrowed it down: "white, orange, or weird," so I said, naturally, "weird." Which is how I got the excellent pepper jack (which she picked instead of feta, the other weird option). It was also noted that they're very open to mixing up menu items, and that they try to make the specials relevant to area events, like the Italian sausage being available during the recent Italian festival. Also great, the prices were *so* reasonable: the bill only came to $25 & some change, which means $30 for the two of us, which is a really good price for how good everything was, & the charming atmosphere. The location is a little out of my usual range, but I'll definitely have to make special effort to hit them up again in the future. Love it!“

“I stopped in today for the first time to grab some pickles for a Christmas gift. I kinda just thought this was a store for pickles (lol) but to be fair I didn't do much research.. For starters, the gentleman who helped me was so helpful and went above and beyond. We got to talking about Kombucha and how I can't stand the stuff when he offered me a sample... I had to leave with a growler. (Which is already half gone because now the husband AND the kids are drinking it lol.) They have so many Kombucha options on tap. It's really impressive. What else I didn't realize is that this is also a sandwich shop and bar. This place has great vibes. This would also be a really great spot for a date night or meet-up because they have a bunch of board games out for everyone to make themselves at home. I wish I had more time to stay today because the menu looked amazing. Can't wait to go back.“

“My niece told me I had to check the place out. She knows her Aunt welbeze! 😆 Seriously, the vibe is so positive it's actually soothing. The acai bowl is as good as the bowls I've had in Cali. The Chai Lattes were as yummy as the omelette. The bathrooms were clean. I'd recommend checking on the tp throughout the day. “We had biked around a little before settling at Owl Eyes because it was the cosiest spot on the block. We were so hungry we ordered a sandwich each and then couldn't resist getting a third one to share. We both agreed their breakfast sandwich was the best, although the turkey blt and grilled cheese were also delicious. “Wow I had such a chill time here today! Tons of parking , a lot of seating. A mix of families with kids getting breakfast and groups of friends grabbing a bite. The music selection was relaxing too. Got a vanilla latte and a Cruller . Latte was good, really smooth and well made. “This is my go-to lunch place for me. I work at Fountain Plaza, so when I forget to pack something for lunch, I usually head here. It’s the cheapest sandwich place in the city, or at least near my specific location. I know other coworkers go to a few other places I will not name, but those other places charge a minimum of two bucks higher or more for the same sandwich.

They always have people in there, which is a great sign. It’s inside the Electric Tower, so there’s a nice lobby to walk through to get to their cafe. The employees are always so sweet, and they make sure to get your order correct - which is awesome, considering how many places don’t really care if your order is right! I really appreciate that - they double check your order before starting it.
It’s a basic cafe, and they serve up the typical sandwiches you’d expect. I’ll be honest, I’ve never ordered anything but sandwiches, so I don’t know what else they offer! The size of the sandwiches is something else I like. They are not enormous, and can't fit your mouth around them, NY deli style sandwiches (which are great, but there’s a time and place for everything!). These are the perfect size, with the perfect ratio of bread to filling, at least to me. I want to be able to finish the whole sandwich without feeling like I overate or am stuffed to the gills. So the portions are the correct size, regardless of what anyone else might say.

My go to’s are a basic turkey with mayo and lettuce, or a hot corned beef with swiss and mustard on rye. I can’t speak for the other items, but if they are as good as those two, then you can’t go wrong!

“The girls who work at this Starbucks are super sweet and very friendly!! They always go above and beyond to make conversations with the customers, and overall deliver amazing service. The only downside of this location is that the seating arrangement is a little awkward with the traffic of people coming into Target. It would be nice if it felt a little more secluded, but I understand that there is only so much you can do with that space. Regardless, I’ve had many great experiences at this location!“
