The food was outstanding, and Joe and Monica were incredibly accommodating—communicating clearly right up to the day before the event. “Stopped in for Valentine's day and found a new favorite spot!! Top notch homemade burgers, highly recommend the Black Bear Burger! It's hard to find a restaurant that understands "rare burger" but this place nailed it! The Pork loin sandwich was delicious with its homemade honey mustard that paired perfectly. Staff was wonderful and the wait was short. We will definitely be back and likely will become regulars to this family run establishment! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!“

“Most of the Area baby boomer cut our drinking teeth at the Post. I remember Larry behind the bar, always a great venue for the up & coming local bands. Pool Foose ball and an occasional trip to the porch! still to this day when I travel back to visit Rome Its my Go to spot to enjoy good folks and good music !“

“The most absolute amazing salad you can design. Trust me when I say put some hot purple rice in the bottom of the bowl and start building the rest! Fresh grated ginger is a game changer. Don't forget all the free extras by the cash register you can add on. In New Hartford the manager is Austin and he is absolutely incredible! He runs a wonderful establishment and is constantly helping his workers out. My friend and I go here every 3 weeks and have our favorite table we always sit at. Austin even remembers all my toppings all the way to the well done steak. Incredible service and atmosphere.“

“My family and I went to The Franklin Hotel one night for dinner. We were in Rome, NY due to Capitolfest. Everything was delicious from the soft bread and butter to the gnocchi with basil cream sauce to the vanilla cannoli! The staff was very friendly. “IT can be noisy. Not the noise level of these obnoxious chain restaurants. The food, and service was great, as I took a very tall gal, to Teddy's on a date. We had a great time, and were seated promptly. The service staff, did not rush us nor were the meals delivered, right after the appetizers as many chain restaurants do to service as many customers as possible.
We also chose Teddy's Restaurant, as we live close by, and had no need to drive there. The other option was a restaurant on North James street. Prices are about the same.
I had the broiled Haddock. Delicious. She had the Big Daddy Chicken sandwich. Italian nachos, was our appetizer. We shared a slice of carrot cake. Delicious.
I just wonder if Teddy's, would serve more people, if it located onto Chestnut street near Griffiss business park. Everything, as gar as jobs, the Copper City is receiving, ends-up on Griffiss.“

“We had dinner at the Texas Roadhouse last night. First we signed up for the wait list and literally walked right in when we got there. Our waitress immediately came over to our table despite how busy they were and took our drink orders. I ordered an 8 ounce filet and my husband the 1lb prime rib both medium rare. They were cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The prices were amazing compared to other restaurants in the area. Excellent service, food and prices. We'll definitely be back soon.“

“Myself and four friends went there for Friday fish fry. The service was prompt the place was very clean. Large selection of draft beer on tap as well bottled and canned beer in the coolers. We all ordered the Utica beer breaded fish fry. Cannot be more happier with their meal the fish was huge and lightly breaded. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. “I was expecting something like a Mother's Market or Sprouts. But this is much smaller and clearly a local business, which means a limited variety of products. That's not a bad thing. There's a cafe inside with ample seating and on (some?) weekends local bread maker vendors sell fantastic bread made from NY state grown wheat.“

The atmosphere, decor, space and food offered us a relaxing and comfortable “night before” celebration! The staff was outstanding! So friendly and welcoming to our group. “Was not expecting a major culinary experience but was pleasantly surprised. We had the 8oz filet. Charred perfectly and perfect medium rare. The lamb entry was excellent. The sides had a upscale presentation and were good. Only disappointment was the shrimp appetizer. It was 4 small shrimp from the buffet that were peeled in a so so garlic sauce with rice. Was more a rice dish than shrimp. Would suggest removing from menu. The utica greens app was fine. The atmosphere is more in line to a typical breakfast venue. This is not a fancy restaurant but prices are reasonable. The waitress was responsive, again more like a wait staff in a diner, but no complaints. For gamblers one can bet on the horses.“

“WOW! The Haddock Beer 🍺 Batter Fish 🐟 Fry was the BEST fish fry EVER! 💕💕💕 So delicious 😋! The tarter sauce was fantastic, it comes with Cole Slaw and steak fries, but I chose Rice Pilaf which was yummy! I highly recommend Rt.69 Steakhouse - it's really cute inside, and the staff is friendly and helpful!
