Because of Covid restrictions and other family emergencies we had to put the planning of our wedding on hold. We recently looked at this venue and it is looking like this place will be the winner for having our winter wedding in 2022. Tasteful decor, classy, elegant but not ostentatious or over the top like some of the other venues, which is exactly my style.“

“After visiting the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria we walked up the block and had a nice lunch at Pig Beach BBQ. My husband and I split the sampler platter which we both enjoyed. My favorite was the pulled pork and my husband’s favorite was the ribs.We were both surprised that it was more of a cafeteria style set up instead of sit down. To me that was probably the only drawback. But it was a very laid back casual atmosphere which a lot of people may find appealing.“

It does an excellent job at bridging the gap between the old neighborhood and the infusion of the new crowd in a way in which everyone feels welcome. The food is excellent and reasonably priced and their selection of German beer pretty much guarantees something for everyone. The bartenders are also the best in the area, friendly, personable and great to chat with while sipping on a cold one. I've made many memories and friends in that place from all walks of life. Lola and Cat were wonderful during the entire planning process - so communicative, easy to talk to, and thoughtful with all their ideas. “Mystic the band was great. Wasn’t happy that website for Plattdeutsche said $5 for cover fee and they raised the price to $8 at the window. So my guy paid an additional $6. Isn’t this illegal? Change the price on the website before you charge customers and add on an additional $3 per person. Parking also was difficult because there are signs all over the streets no parking. If Mystic comes back I’ll go but won’t go anymore on principle of the raised price without it matching the website and their cashiers window. Unfair. And many people were complaining about this.“

“We recently held a fundraiser at the World's Fair Marina and we could not be more pleased with how everything turned out. The staff from the beginning were extremely accommodating and made sure to take care of us as we were busy hosting the fundraiser. They even came by and hand delivered drinks and came to us with a plate of appetizers. The little things matter! The room was set up beautifully with pink decor and the room brought tears to many eyes as we threw this fundraiser for an amazing friend of ours. The food was absolutely delicious. We had lemon piccata, pepper steak, sausage and peppers, penne a la vodka plus salad. It was an amazing spread and people went up for seconds. My kids loved the rice in particular and especially the dessert table of pastries and fruit. The bar tender was a sweetheart and their homemade fruit punch is so tasty. It's virgin so kids had it and they loved it. Adults added some liquor and wow - amazing cocktail. Without a doubt, this venue is the place in queens to hold a party. The gorgeous views and amazing service + food = a great time for all! So much gratitude to the staff and owners for being so accommodating and welcoming.“

Finally had the opportunity to try it out, i ordered the Jerk Chicken lunch and Oxtail lunch with seasoned rice, candied yams and mac & cheese. Everything was delicious - i love that the meat falls off the bone of the chicken and oxtail... also the candied yams were cooked just right (not overly soggy)i was expecting bigger portions but im ok to sacrifice quantity for quality... Barely 2 days before Christmas Eve I frantically called every restaurant/caterer that I knew. Adrian and Rocky's was referred to me and was literally my very last phone call. They were wonderful and accommodating and even though catering orders for Christmas Eve were already closed as I expected, they graciously took my order. The fish was super fresh, and so delicious.
