“So, for KFC, this was a pretty decent experience. The girl who helped me was extremely kind and patient, and maybe I was just lucky that I was helped by someone who had that particular demeanor. She made the pickup order easy even though I can sometimes be a little difficult. She had a lot of patience, and I asked her to do things that weren't out of the ordinary, but she had enough patience to deal with my shortcomings. Since it was a pickup order and I ate at home, I thought the chicken was a little bit on the dry side. I don't know how fresh it was when I picked it up at the store, but I can only imagine it wasn't that old. Otherwise, everything was decent enough, as I said for KFC, and I'll probably go back when I've decided I want some more Fried Chicken.

Parking: This is New York City and as most New Yorkers are aware there's basically only street parking in some areas which is what is available in this area next to this particular store unless there was something close by or a parking lot that I was unaware of.“

“I usually visit Dave’s Hot Chicken at 7th Ave Brooklyn.
This time we went so late that it was just 40 minutes left in closing and they had put all the tables and chairs away (means the dine in was closed already) but the girl at the counter was so nice that she not only allowed us to take the chairs and sit but also suggested us to rate them on app to get a free drink (everyone loves free stuff..right??)
The food and atmosphere is always always so good. We love to go there at least twice a month (as far from our place). Highly recommended especially if you are looking for some good halal food.“

“My husband and I went to Forefeathers tonight for dinner, it was excellent. The chicken tenders were delicious, the pink dipping sauce was very good. “The spicy chicken biscuit omg toooooo die for so my husband and I saw many people entering this spot plus it was our first time. We heard mac and cheese, greens, and fried chicken. So we got a bucket of mixed chicken, two sides of Mac and cheese, and some collard greens (they make them with black eyed peas and tomatoes; totally different from any kind of greens I ever had and I definitely was left craving more. Nice little spot and such friendly people. Heading back very soon“

“I think I can honestly say, without hyperbole, that this was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life. The only way I can describe the chicken sandwich is it was immaculate. The sandwich itself wasn't anything new or fancy or unique it was just the perfect example of something simple done perfectly. “Got the chicken lunch box which costed $10 (came out to $10.88 after tax). It came with rice on the side along with salad. Salad was a bit too vinegary and the chicken tasted too sweet. Didn’t really like how the chicken tasted and the color looks very light. Not sure how to describe it but the chicken tasted “dirty”as if it wasn’t washed well. “I was in the Penn Station area today and had a craving for fried chicken. Initially, I was thinking about going to a certain Filipino fried chicken chain, but after checking the ratings, Pollo Camino came out on top. They’ve recently opened a new branch near Penn Station, but I ended up visiting their 8th Ave location instead — a small, single-storefront shop with a simple interior.

I ordered the fried chicken set for $9.99, which came with two pieces of chicken, a piece of bread, one side, and a drink for an extra $1.
• Drink: I went with their Horchata, made with peanuts and vanilla ,milk, without the cinnamon and rice I’m used to. It had a nice aroma, refreshing, and a bit different — in a good way.
• Side: I chose yuca fries, served in large sticks. The inside was dense than potato, with a lightly crisp exterior. Personally, I wasn’t a fan — I’d say skip this and go for another side.
• Fried Chicken: Lightly battered with a noticeable blend of spices and herbs. The meat was tender, while the skin wasn’t the super-crispy kind you’d get from those well-known Louisiana or Kentucky-style chains. Flavor was solid, but here’s an important tip — just like with many fried chicken places, don’t let it sit too long. Once it cools, the saltiness becomes much more pronounced.

Service gets a full 5 stars in the fast-food category — no self-service pick-up here, they bring your food right to the table.

Overall, Pollo Camino is worth trying if you’re around Penn Station. The price is fair, the chicken is flavorful, but choose your side wisely and eat it while it’s hot. Next time I’ll try a competitor for comparison, but for now, my top spot still belongs to Louisiana chain.“

“This place is just as advertised. Quick and simple food done very well, for a great price. I got the 1/2 chicken combo with Greek lemon potatoes. Everything was solid, the chicken was nicely cooked and juicy with a classic rotisserie flavor. The lemon flavor came though nicely on the potatoes. You also get a green sauce that comes with the meal that adds a nice acidic herbal flavor. Also, I got the grilled buffalo wings which I really enjoyed. Many places do not offer grilled, so I really appreciated this. I find especially for takeout, fried wings lose the textural component and become soggy. The grilled adds an extra depth of flavor that I personally enjoy. Overall great value.“

“We found the Commodore while searching for a place to eat with my partner, after a late arrival into JFK. At first we were thrown by the well patinaed circa 1980 LES dive bar decor, not that there's anything wrong with that, just not what we expected. Service is no frills, order at the bar, they bring the food to your table. Drinks were strong and served lighting fast. The food was awesome, some of the best Fried Chicken I ever had, crispy, juicy and nicely seasoned. My partner had the Mexican Chicken Soup, she loved it and let me get a taste, I agreed, it was amazing. We will return for sure!“
