“I attended a surprise party this Saturday evening. The cuisine was preselected, waiter service was excellent, should receive raises. The table arrangement was very poor. The party was downstairs in one of the private rooms. We were 25 people at one very long table, basically the length of the room, which made it difficult for guests to get around the seated persons at the head of the table on either side. Having two tables would have been a better arrangement, but one long table was not conducive for conversation since we were so far from the other end of the table. The food; not many complaints, I really didn’t have a problem. I didn’t have a lot of food, but it was delicious. The dessert, sorry not very good. Those Famous Crepes(palacinkes) sorry not that great. A lot of crepe and not a lot of filling. The dish was served with fruit, unfortunately this fruit was not in season, so the watermelon although it added color to the dish, upon tasting it, left much to be desired. Why not serve fruit that is in season? No offense to my party hosts who selected my menu for the evening, it didn’t lend itself to the 5 Star Reputation of Dubrovnik’s. I would like to make reservations and splurge on a dinner on my own, I have a feeling I would LOVE the experience! Btw, another plus was the parking!“

“I am a frequent visitor here. Sometimes I go for a solo lunch, sometimes I bring my child or go with friends. It is family friendly. Best vibes in the Summer when you can sit outside and enjoy good weather. Extensive and descriptive wine menu which I love. They can prepare off menu traditional Italian dishes for you if they have the ingredients. I felt for a simple spaghetti pomodoro and my request was granted. I like their salads. The grilled shrimp has a beautiful smoked flavor as if it is fresh off the brick grill - my favorite! On one visit, the manager allowed me to sample several wines - I felt really catered to. Lunch dining is my favorite period to visit here.“

“Our experience at Pancetta was great! Our waitress Monica, was so friendly, patient and accommodating. She was happy to ask the bar our questions about drinks and answer any questions about food. By the end of the night we wanted her to have a seat and join us for dinner! The food came out extremely quickly and the The bar was willing to put together a drink that wasn't on the menu for us. We couldn't have asked for better service.“

“There’s a point of France here in Harlem. The ambiance is cozy and warm with ambient lighting and great drink specials at the bar. The house Rosé is delicious and a nice pairing for the season. We went for Valentine’s Day and there is not any strangers here just folks you never said hello to. Wonderful date night atmosphere and nice size portions with a French flair!

Was fantastic. Was batted down thin and breaded and seasoned to perfection. VERY tender, I only had to use my folk to cut. The marinara was fresh semi chunky lite delicious and perfect. “SB K-BBQ was recommended to me by a close friend, and it absolutely delivered. After visiting Seoul and Jeju this past April, my family and I had been craving authentic Korean BBQ—and this place brought us right back.

The quality of the meat is outstanding. The moksal (pork neck) and samgyeopsal (pork belly) are cut thick—just as thick, if not thicker, than what we had in Korea. Grilled over real charcoal, the flavor is rich and smoky, enhancing every bite.

They also offer perilla leaves for your ssam wraps, which is a detail I truly appreciate and rarely find at K-BBQ spots in the U.S.

Even though we live in Philadelphia and it’s over a 2-hour drive, we’ve already made the trip twice—that’s how good it is. If you’re craving a taste of Korea, SB K-BBQ is more than worth the journey. Highly recommended!“

“So my Lenten sacrifice included all things that look good, taste good & make me feel good. So last night after an intense interpersonal interaction earlier in the day I headed to Yatenga. I was greeted by the lovely Todd the bar man (one of the things that look good)who greeted warmly and took my order. He returned with my preferred cocktail-The Lou Lou! The fact that he remembered made me feel like a Prince (only a Prince as he’s a King). I started my meal with the Cauliflower soup which was well flavored and simply delicious. It was so good it was enough to turn a carnivore into a vegetarian! Then I had the Chicken Francaise which was prepared to perfection. The accompanying sauce was smooth and also highly flavored. The chicken breast’s were tender & the texture was as if the chicken had just been sacrificed moments before. The vegetables of haricot verts and carrots were perfectly al dente. And my dessert of Tart Tartin could not have been better; nice flaky crust and perfectly sweetened! In the past 13 years I have not patronized another restaurant in Harlem in particular and NYC in general. Why? Because I don’t have the confidence that I will be as well treated and cared for and well-fed as I am at Yatenga. The fact that Todd the barman does double duty as a server and does it affably is one major reason I keep going back. The management must be superior-why else would the staff be so equally superior. I travel a lot for work & thusly try to avoid restaurants in other towns and villages because I know they’re not Yatenga.“

We started off with grilled artichoke hearts with lemon vinaigrette & shaved pecorino toscano - a nice antipasto - and then shared two pizzas: the spicy Picca (tomato sauce, fontina, hot sausage, red onions, chillies) and the Norma (tomato sauce, fried eggplant, ricotta, pecorino, garlic & basil).

Both were really good - with soft, pillowy, lightly-charred Neapolitan-style crust - but the zesty Picca had the edge (the Norma was slightly bland / under seasoned).

The sides are also fantastic!  Brussels, broccoli, and macaroni gratines, the fries in duck fat are INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!  Wine selection, too, is excellent. Overall, this place is spectacular --decor is gorgeous and immaculate and service is equal to the best NYC attentiveness... Owner Jonathan is so charming and a true professional with an amazing pedigree in the restaurant biz. “This is a classic Italian restaurant. Years ago in NYC there were many small restaurants on side streets that had excellent food. Very few of those survive. But Aperiti is heir to that tradition. We just came back from three weeks in Italy and Aperiti is as good as any of the restaurants that we experienced in Rome. Maybe even better.“
