“We had an extraordinary experience at this restaurant. Located in downtown Astabula, OH this restaurant offered EXTRAORDINARY culinary options which are amazing. I had the mussels and the pork chop. The mussels were the best I have ever had. We also had a fabulous beet salad and a great bolognese pasta dish. Jamie the bartender made the night for us!“

“We were on vacation from Missouri & I have a serious food allergy to anything mammal, Tina & the staff were so helpful & took great care of me. “My first time here was tonight. I got a Gyro combo. So I did not get to eat my food for 45 mins, (driving to our destination and then waited about 20 mins to eat.) but the fries were still crispy and delicious! The gyro….absolutely incredible. The flavors are out of this world. Will be returning because I’d like to try more menu items!!“

“This has consistently been our favorite restaurant in the Ashtabula area for a while now! We originally started going there because we heard that they still made the original style Perkin’s potatoe pancakes but we have discovered that almost everything on the menu is excellent!“

“This place is a great stop for the Ashtabula harbor visitors. It's unique and always friendly. It's an actual fishing boat that has been converted to a bar, has a food truck on site that serves multiple options that are very good. There's seating at the rear of the boat for large parties, they always have sports on the TV and it's a great place to enjoy the harbor at water level.“

“Visiting from out of town and our original dinner plans fell through. We still wanted barbecue so we found this place. Very cozy hometown shop ran by a retired sheriff. Very sweet man who is incredibly kind and caring. Always giving back to the local communities. The food was absolutely delicious. Great portions for the pricing as well. If I lived in town, I would be here all the time. We will definitely be back the next time we visit.“

“I first want to say I love this restaurant. I just don't understand why they are open today with a level 3 snow warning. They are urging people to stay off the roads unless its an emergency. Eating at this restaurant isn't a emergency.“

“I came here about couple days ago to meet up with a few friends. Our server was Jami and she was absolutely excellent! I ended up having a chicken salad, which ended up being phenomenal! We didn't have much of a wait, but we all decided to wait for each other to arrive before sitting at a table. As soon as we sat down, we were immediately greeted by our server and asked what we wanted for our drinks.

Our server seemed to have everything in order and we haven't had service like this in a while. We have been hesitant to even meet up anywhere for lunch lately, because most places seem to be hiring careless help. This was far from our experience. Our beverages were refilled before we even had to wait, and we were constantly asked if there was anything we needed.

I am not sure how the kitchen is behind the scenes, but the food was phenomenal, as well! It came out in a timely manner and was really good. It was organized well and everything seemed fresh.

The ladies and I will definitely be visiting again for a lunch out on the town!! Most likely requesting the same server.“

“The quality of our local steak and shakes have significantly improved along with the staff. Much cleaner, tastes better, and even seems more filling than it used to. On top of that the new company policies like banning microwaves, beef tallow for their fried goods, and grass fed beef for the burgers. It went downhill a while ago but I can definitely say it has done a complete 360 and has honestly been one of our families favorite quick fast food locations now. Definitely better than McDonald's.“
