“This American Chinese restaurant mainly served American Chinese cuisine. My server recommended the beef fried noodles which tasted authentic. The dining room was clean with a decent bar. There were some cheap alcohol selections during happy hour. WiFi was fast. Glad to see that many American people liked dining at this place.“

When I order delivery, they always pack the noodles and soup separately, so when I get home, the noodles are still perfectly chewy.Their Dan Dan hand stretch noodle is honestly the best noodle dish I’ve ever had. If you usually order stir-fried noodles, definitely upgrade to the hand pulled noodle— it’s on another level! “This summer I spent a month in Taiwan and have been missing the food terribly. Lan Zhou reminded me so much of the small little noodle shops with incredible food I grew to love while abroad. Their beef noodle soup was lovely- the greens on top were perfect and the beef was tender. I prefer a slightly more springy noodle, and these were very soft and tender- not my favorite, but I can't complain.
I'm very excited to return.“

“I grew up off this Chinese Food location. Watched the kids grow up and all lol. The food is absolutely delicious. It's a simple come and go order place. Anything you order will usually be done in 10 minutes, the egg rolls are great, and different menu items have never disappointed.“

“Best War Su Gai sauce and equally good chicken . Was a customer decades ago before change in ownership and still my favorite place ever. Egg rolls have nice spice to them and never had a greasy one!! Kudos to chef!!“

“The chef, I think he is the owner said that Chow Fun is his best. I also recommend that menu if you want to try some non-Americanized Chinese food. There's some extra chilly oil on the shelves, put them in your plate and you might feel different. The picture I attached is Malatang.“

“Hands down the best Chinese food in the Columbus area. You can order anything from here and you won’t be disappointed. My personal favorite is the spicy wings with green onions. I give them 4/5 stars. I would give 5, but they are a little stingy with sauces and when you ask for more they just give you one more and you don’t want to keep asking for more, so you leave with less sauce than you want lol. But overall, highly recommended.“

“Just walking in and I knew it was gonna be good. They don't waste money on decor. The staff were friendly and the food seemed authentic. Definitely different than most American knock offs.

We got 3 dishes:

The stir fry ramen was good. Perfect lunch fair and great for little mouths.

The squid had great flavor and was pleasantly spicy.

The tofu was very spicy but was missing something. Not sure what but seemed lacking.

I appreciated my ice water but the husband got the walovi. It was pleasant and herbal.

All of these dishes are easily shareable so a great place for a lunch date.“

“Best chinese food in town! My family and I order chinese every week and this place has been the go-to for many years. Sesame chicken, kun pao chicken, orange chicken, I can eat it all day everyday!!! Their egg drop and hot sour soup are the best, but there is one thing that noone can beat. Their crab rangoon are a classic. Packed with cream cheese and complimented with sweet and sour sauce. Best chinese spot hands down. Never dissapoint.“

“Was in Columbus for a concert and I walked a few blocks here for dinner. I didn’t see sweet and sour shrimp on the menu (only chicken & pork) and asked if they served it. They whipped me up an off-menu speciality on the spot. And it was terrific! Huge shrimp in a delicious sauce, big chunks of green pepper, etc. Their egg rolls were also nice and crunchy which I love and that seems to be harder to find anymore at places I try. The woman working was watching soap operas or something at full volume but I had earbuds in and was too distracted by the tasty meal to mind. “We went to the Ace of Cups to watch a performance by Galactic Empire yesterday and we're hungry so we went across the street to Northeast Chinese restaurant. This little hidden spot for most folks turned out to be some of the best Chinese food that I have eaten in my life and I have eaten Chinese food all over the world. The portions are huge, the price is good and the staff very friendly. I recommended anybody traveling through Columbus that might want some good Chinese food, to look this place up and go there and eat.“

We were surprised that the place had been closed for quite some time as it was our go-to place for Chinese takeout. It has been a staple for Marcus theatre area for many many years. It finally reopened under new ownership, but no sign.

The owner was there to greet us and show us the menu. Very nice guy and felt welcomed. We ordered the orange chicken, bokchoy dish, and chicken egg roll. Food was hot and the bokchoy was our favorite dish. Orange chicken wasn't the best but wasn't bad either (would get again). My only gripe is that the prices are similar to a sit-down full-service restaurant and not your typical take-out Chinese food prices. While I would love to come here again the price is way too high for us as we like to go get a quick meal before a movie, etc. I get it the prices need to be adjusted to match inflation/food costs but the price point before new ownership was so good.

All in all, I do want to try the other dishes as the food was good but it won't be on a regular basis as the prices are not competitive with traditional TOGO Chinese places.
