I’m beyond impressed by the Staff and the establishment, it beyond exceeded my expectations. We have a lot of fine dining in the Poconos region with some higher end restaurants and this place exceeded them. The quality of the food is superior. Take a look at some of the pics of the food we ordered. Ended up meeting Sean the head chef and impressed how he runs his kitchen , everything goes with the flow . Make sure you make a reservation :) we ended up not making one and we got seated over looking the kitchen and it was the best place. You see all the action. Can’t wait to come back from Poconos. “I was visiting my friends in Painesville and they insisted on my last day that we have breakfast at a place they called “FATS.” We were greeted and seated as soon as we walked in the door. Roy was our server, and he told us that he was retiring that day and we were his first table. Roy is a national treasure, for sure!! Breakfast was phenomenal. I tried my bestie’s biscuits and chorizo gravy, which was spicy and had amazing flavor! I ate as much as I could of the generous portion of my tasty meal and the hospitality was exceptional. The vibe is so friendly and neighborly. I will definitely visit again! Best wishes to Roy!!“

“We were in Geneva Ohio for a Junior Olympic swim meet and we ate lunch there. I do t do reviews ever but this place was outstanding! The simplest meals were extra special, better than expected!!! “Pretty nice little Italian restaurant. Got the chicken parmigiana dinner to go with a canoli and it didn't disappoint. Came with a side salad and Italian dressing which was nice. The sauce is good spaghetti was good chicken and cheese was great. Lots of flavor and fresh. Decent portions. Canoli was tasty as well. I would recommend trying this place out it ain't too bad. Nice little outside area to eat as well. Glad I finally stopped by to try it out. I wasn't disappoint and I'll be back. 🙂“

Now its a complimentary ice cream desert and a gift card for an appetizer for your next visit. Don't come here Veterans... dont come here on Veterans Day. Go to Outback or Applebee's where you can actually feel appreciated the one day out of the year.“

“Had a terrific meal at Austin's yesterday. Celebrating a milestone birthday the server made everything even more special- he was terrific! All of the food was cooked to perfection. The birthday boy had the pork chops- amazing! 2 thick nice sized chops and cooked perfectly- juicy and tender. The special of the night was beef stroganoff and it was amazing- the taste was perfect- my only suggestion would be maybe a slightly thicker sauce but it had such a wonderful taste. Must have is the spinach dip- this is the best spinach dip around! The dip itself but also the house made chips are to die for- I need them to be sold by the bag!! The pumpkin martini was excellent. Very attentive (and comical) service really made it a dining pleasure. We were there right at 4 (we did make reservations) and they were ready and set to go. We really appreciated the cheesecake for the birthday boy too and the group picture which we did not even have to ask someone to do, the hostess just came up and did it for us- so nice! Thank you for a great 85th birthday celebration!“

“A small quiet place with some of the best food you’ll ever have. I absolutely love their hamburgers and fries which are freshly cooked not frozen! The lady with the long dark hair that works there is incredible and always makes you feel special. Also their drink and food prices are very reasonable making this bar/restaurant one of the most affordable in town.“

“My parents took me out for my 57th birthday to celebrate. When we arrived we were seated immediately which was really nice. We had an amazing waitress by the name of Jenna. Service was impeccable our meal was brought out in a timely manner and the food was very delicious.Everything we needed she never had any problem with going to get and I am really grateful and thankful again for the experience that she gave to us being there. We need more waitresses like her that make you feel special in spite of your skin color. Thank you Jenna for making our experience at the roadhouse a good one.“

“1st time there. Read a lot of good reviews about Sammy’s. Had spaghetti and meatballs. Yes, spaghetti and smeatballs on a Friday! Came with soup and salad and garlic toast which was very good also. Very very busy. Waitresses were husselling at a fast pace but all were very nice and kind and kept a smile on their faces!!! Also took a piece of key lime pie home for later. ? mmmmm soooo good! “1st time going in there since the remodel and wow! Its a whole new place except for the signage outside. It was $8 burger and fry night. I had the smash burger and all burgers are half pounders. The fries were great! I would add 1 extra bartender though a full bar / house 1 person took time to get food or even a drink other then that really impressed.“

“Food true Italian, Great sauce big portions. 2 meatballs with every dish. The only thing I suggest is better bread and butter as the roles were not a fresh as they could be. Italian bread is always a winner. Servers kind kitchen and service slow but they were busy for good reason. I will return. Had lasagna and angel hair. Highly recommend.“

This was the only place open nearby and after having our breakfast, I'm glad it was! The inside is cute and filled with older collectibles of different kinds along the walls. The woman who was running around taking care of everyone was incredibly sweet and attentive (and I give her major props for moving as fast as she did given how early it still was!) Coffee kept pouring all through breakfast & the food was so good! I got the small breakfast plate with eggs, corned beef, homestyle potatoes and toast and my boyfriend got the large breakfast plate with eggs, sausage, and pancakes and one of the sausage and gravy biscuits. It was all SO good!! Definitely the highlight for us was the sausage and gravy biscuits though! Overall, a fantastic lil place to start the morning off at & we'll definitely be coming back!“

“We been coming here for years. Other than a couple one off experiences, we had great service and food as reasonable price. Great coffee and they quickly corrected things on the rare occasions something wasn’t right. Most places are good when things are smooth but a great place shows in how they handle things when there is a problem. They are great!“

“Spats is my kinda place. The first time I visited Spats, I saw a neon beer sign in the window and figured I’d grab a beer while I was waiting for my gf to finish her shopping. I was instantly met with the dive-bar/hole in the wall vibe. Spats did not disappoint! If that’s not what you’re looking for, you might try the dining area instead of the bar area, which has at least 10 TVs, so I assume it’s also a nice sports bar.

So I told my gf that we should come back sometime when we want to hang out. We did! There aren’t many vegetarian options, but you can get typical bar food, plus an extensive lunch/dinner menu. I tried the fried mushrooms. They were delicious! I see why some ppl don’t like the fries, but they were perfect for me. They were not greasy or cooked in recycled oil like some idiots claimed in their reviews. But yes, they’re typical of real potato fries: soft and limp, just the way I like them. But they were also a little bland. Nothing a little salt couldn’t fix. I also had the fried shrimp, which was fine. Cole slaw was OK. My gf liked her chicken salad. Portions are HUGE. I’ll be back to try other items on the menu. I’m giving it 5 stars to offset the idiots who gave it one. But overall, it’s probably 4.5 stars.“
