“My husband and I stopped by the Nervous Dog Coffee Bar for the first time today and we really like this place my Chai was great and his French coffee was perfect, we split a raspberry pastry which was also good. The prices are good better than other places we have been.“

“The breakfast was delicious, the service was amazing, and the patio in the sun on a summer morning was exactly what I needed this week.

I did my husbands to go order and the cashier was extremely accommodating and even had me come back for my husband’s coffee which she made promptly and correct when I walked by after dining in myself. The gentleman who brought me my food was kind as well!

I really enjoyed the breakfast bowl, the avocado toast, and the iced chai. I look forward to coming back soon:)“

“We visited at 330 on Tuesday, March 25th and I don’t know what the woman who was serving us’ name was but she was just the sweetest person I have ever met, she worked with efficiency and really made sure to take our needs into account. 5/5 stars, will be returning.
Edit: I wrote the review before I sipped my drink and I can now say this is the best Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade I’ve ever had from Starbucks, please give her a raise“

“I cannot recommend Porchlight enough! I have become a frequent flyer— no seriously— twice a dad visits. I love the convenience of their online ordering in the morning and their great cafe space for lunch. There is no wrong answer when it comes to their variety of flavors for your lattes. Truly a skillfully crafted coffee menu along with flavor-packed food options. My absolute favorite menu item is their harvest Cobb salad. I CAN’T GET ENOUGH! Dried cranberries, grilled chicken, feta (I think), walnuts, topped with the to-die-for maple vinaigrette on a bed of lettuce. Seriously, there is NO reason NOT to go to Porchlight. Cheers!“

“I really like their coffee, 🥯 and the people are always really nice. love supporting local but the down side is the drive thru takes a really long time. like if there is 3 cars ahead of you plan about 25 to 30 mins of wait. During the work week I unfortunately cannot go hear because of that I have to drive to another area and get Starbucks. I hope they fix this it is a really nice place.“

The gentleman working the counter apologized for not having fresh filled donuts and cream sticks available however fresh cake donuts were up for grabs and some donuts that were left over from earlier in the day. I went with an assorted dozen- vanilla and chocolate coconut frosted cake donuts, a couple glazed, some powder sugar donuts both regular and cinnamon sugar, a devils food, lemon sour cream, regular sour cream, blueberry, and a chocolate frosted. I wish I could say there was a favorite but there wasn’t. All the donuts were so fresh and had a little crisp to them! Even the next day the donuts were fresh- even after cutting into most of them to try pieces none of the donuts went stale or hardened over night. The frosting was still soft as well. Great little donut shop, don’t let their hours get you they open back up in the evenings if you miss them in the mornings. Will be going back“

We recently ordered cupcakes for an event at our business, and they went out of their way to even copy the colors of our logo for the icing. Their friendly staff is doing an outstanding job. “I'm participating in Akron's Drip Drive this year by checking out all the local coffee shops in Akron, and Evelyn's has quickly become my new favorite spot by far! Their Vietnamese coffee is delicious, and I got to try a lemongrass bahn mi when I went back on a weekend and it was heavenly. But then I stopped there another week day morning before work for a coffee & bahn mi, but was sad to learn their kitchen didn't open until after 10am. Which means I'll never get to bring a bahn mi to work with me to have for lunch :( My heart broke a little as I don't work close enough to Evelyn's to drive back there midday. I wonder how many others tried to order a bahn mi in the morning for breakfast or lunch but couldn't. These hours are not clear on the website either unfortunately. I wish I could leave a 4.5 stars for this reason but yeah. I hope they have plans to expand their kitchen hours soon!!! But I'll definitely be back for at least the coffee regardless.“

“Coffee is very good, & they offer gluten free bakery items. Outdoor seating is nice & downtown location is great. Indoor space is very open and loud. The ambiance is harsh and sterile. Diffucult to take a call or have a conversation without everyone hearing everyone else. Would love to see a more comfortable and inviting indoor seating environment typical of other cafes.“

“I was asked last minute to provide the cake for my daughter’s bridal shower. The Bake Shop in Ghent saved the day by 1. Being open on Sunday and 2. Preparing a beautifully decorated, but most importantly, absolutely delicious cake! The folks at the shop were so very nice and welcoming. Highly recommend!“
