“What started out as a simple restroom stop turned into one of those classic road-trip moments you truly can’t make up.
We pulled off near I-71 and Route 665 in Grove City, Ohio, and stopped at the Tim Hortons located inside the Wendy’s / Tim Hortons combo building at 3065 London Groveport Road. The original plan was nothing more than a quick restroom break before getting back on the highway.
But then… things took a turn.
The Tim Hortons side normally stays open until 6 PM, but the place was pretty much deserted when we arrived. Because of that, the employee had gotten permission to close early at 5 PM, and we happened to walk in right during that winding-down period.
That’s when we looked at the bakery case.
Remaining inventory:
• 2 Double Chocolate Donuts
• 5 Chocolate Chunk Cookies
That was it.
Naturally, we did the only logical thing possible.
We bought all of them.
Just like that, the remaining Tim Hortons dessert inventory for the day was completely wiped out. Donuts? Gone. Cookies? Gone.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Is this awesome or what!
The place itself was very quiet during our visit, which probably explains why the Tim Hortons side was shutting down a little early. The employee we interacted with was friendly and seemed to get a kick out of the fact that someone had just purchased the entire remaining donut and cookie inventory.

The restrooms were tolerable. Not quite Buc-ee’s legendary level, but perfectly acceptable for a quick stop while traveling.
If you’re passing through the Columbus / Grove City area near I-71, this Tim Hortons makes for an easy stop just off the interstate. And if you happen to arrive close to closing time… well… you might just find yourself buying the entire dessert inventory too.
Because sometimes…
You really can’t make this stuff up.

“10/10/2025 - first time visiting this Tim Hortons before attending to some business matters, and my experience was very nice. All the staff were professionally, prompt and friendly. A special shout out to the staff member with the body art all his face. He probably was the most nicest individual I’ve ever encountered at a Tim Hortons. He spoke to every customer and treated all of us the same. Thank you. He deserves a raise.
I ordered my usual the sausage, egg and cheese croissant with a medium coffee and a hashbrowns and a honey Creuller. Everything was fresh and delicious. The decor was nice and comfortable. They have low seating high chairs and they share it with another fast food restaurant that will remain a nameless. Parking out front and on the side of the building, drive-through accessible, and decent prices Enjoy.“
“For a long time, I stopped going to Tim Hortons. The consistency of my triple triple with Splenda varied so much that it more often than not was thrown away.
For some reason, I decided to start going again. It’s been about 3 months and every day, my coffee tastes the same. It’s so great to start the day like that.
