“All five stars? Well, it must have been Saturday, I must have gotten a rack of ribs with extra sauce that were smoky good, and the bartender must have done a great job taking my order and getting me a beer.
Seriously, I was absolutely impressed by the ribs. Cooked over charcoal or wood because the smoke ring was perfect, as were the ribs. No fat (NO fat!) and just a slight char on the ends. There are a lot of great rib joints around Youngstown, and since it's harder and harder to find roast lamb on Saturdays, ribs are my safety pick. The ribs at the Royal Oaks were perfect, better after I got them home and slapped them in a casserole and baked at 250 tightly wrapped for like 40 minutes. Absolutely great flavor that will impress anyone who likes a nice rack of ribs.

the food is cooked to perfection…be patient it’s worth it…always have sports on the tvs… the place has a home feeling…everyone is friendly the music is good…and i can play my numbers and keno… eat good or even vent to the bartender…this place is a must visit regularly…“

“Family owned bar and restaurant that serves excellent, home made goodness. The food is absolutely awesome and is very fair priced. The fish is done perfectly, I also recommend all three kinds of perhohi, the haluski, and the chicken noodle soup. It was a wonderful feast and cost less than $30! Our waitress was so kind and caring. This restaurant is a classic Youngstown bar and restaurant that opened in the 60’s and is still going strong. The food reminds you of grandmas cooking in the good old days. I highly recommend Teenie’s. Go there today!“

“After being asked if I needed a nipple for my drink, i finished it and subsequently had to wait 4.5 seconds for my icy cold beverage to be refilled! If there was a negative score I give it. As it is I can say 0 out of 10, would not recommend!“

“After having covered almost 40km by bike... at 20.00.. a few meters from the bike delivery, reading the reviews, we chose this restaurant. If the reviews were decidedly good, inside a magical atmosphere. Impeccable Service and attention of the waiters. Prices as high as the quality that the place reserves. “We recently hosted a surprise party at Hackett's and it was absolutely wonderful! The owner Danny & his team were all very accommodating and helpful in the whole process! The bartender was a rockstar and the managers/staff were so nice! The outdoor patio is beautiful. And the bar has good food & cold beer! What more could you ask for! We will definitely be back to relax & enjoy a football game in the near future!“

“I've been going to Shakers for about six months or so and I couldn't give more praise to this place.
I came in for wing night one day not expecting very much -- just some basic chicken wings with likely unremarkable service.. I received the opposite. Frank waited on me -- suggested what wing flavors he liked most and made sure I received not only fast service but did so with a genuine friendly attitude. And as a big wing critic (EXTRA CRISPY - iykyk) the wings here were extraordinary.
Many trips later, I've come to know most of the staff and still receive the same great food that hooked me on my first visit. Frank, as well as Josh, Hoss and Kelsey (? spelling) always take great care of me and whoever I may bring with me too.
The bar is clean and inviting as well as the large outdoor patio -- great for just coming by yourself or with a party. The staff doesn't let patrons get crazy either and maintains an easy-going but no-nonsense atmosphere.
Really, I can't say enough about these guys. Best bar to go for awesome food, awesome faces, and an awesome vibe.“

“Can’t say enough about Bull & Bear. I had my wife’s surprise retirement party here on Sunday and it couldn’t have been any better. The food was amazing. Everything from the wings to the pizza. Everyone commend on how good it was and plan on returning. Ben gave us full access the party room for decorating and we had it all to ourselves through the evening ( about 65 people)with Bella and Trista as are servers. Both these girls were fantastic. Whenever anything ran low, food or beverages they were there. If anyone is looking to have a small function I highly recommend The Bull & Bear on Belmont.“
