From the white french dressing to the new Cider chicken with caramelized onions and a perfectly cooked ribeye it was all delicious! “Went back to Moe’s for dinner and everything was incredible. The food, service and atmosphere have always been consistently great every time we go. Whether a special occasion or date night, things are consistently great. We enjoyed the crab cakes as an appetizer, the duck breast with scalloped goat cheese potatoes as entree 1 and for entree 2, the braised short ribs in pomegranate glaze with the squash risotto.
The crab cakes were big and very dense. So good I forgot to take a picture. The risotto was incredible: very rich, creamy and not too cheesy. Extremely hard to find a good risotto in restaurants. I wish the pomegranate glaze on the short ribs was a bit more fruity but it was still incredible! The duck was good but the potatoes were the star of the dish! The goat cheese really defined all the flavors of the entree. Always look forward to returning and having another incredible meal!! We walked over to the more relaxed bar area after formal dinner and the cocktails were great. The staff on both sides was incredible as always.“

“Food is good - when they are open. Saturday at 2:30 they were already closed. If business is slow or they are shorthanded, they close. Hours are never reliable. Call first. PS - not trans-gender friendly. I know someone who was told that they can’t use the bathroom there.“

“Went with my In-laws this past Friday. The parking was awkward making it difficult to exit to the front of the building. The food, drinks and service were top notch. However, I thought the 3% up charge for using a credit card vs cash to pay the bill was a bit petty due to the already inflated menu prices. This left me wondering; why the owner thought it was more important to cover their $5 cost at the expense of me returning again?“

“The Galley Boy is a good sandwich, however, i don't see it as an award winning burger. There are other burgers around that i personally think are better. That being said, I still get hungry for a Galley Boy every now and then. Service was good as always.“

Rockne's in Kent delivered a truly satisfying meal. I conquered the famous Max the Knife burger, and it lived up to the hype—four juicy, cheesy patties layered in a triple-bun, a delicious and massive feast! My wife chose the Steak Salad, which was equally impressive. The steak was tender, perfectly seasoned, and served over a fresh bed of greens with their excellent fries and grilled pita. The vast menu and generous portions make this a winner for any craving. For great food and friendly service, Rockne's is a staple!“

“If you want something more than the typical hospital cafeteria food, then try Virtues. They are located on the ground floor of Akron Summa hospital. I am at the hospital because a family member is having surgery, and this restaurant was recommended by the desk staff. You walk to the counter and order. They give you a buzzer that signals you when the order is ready. I had the signature BLT and a side Ceasar salad. The salad was good size, lettuce was crisp and fresh. The BLT is served on sourdough bread and had a chitpotle mayo that gave it a good flavor and just a tinge of heat. For expecting "hospital" food, this was a pleasant surprise. It cost me just under $20 for the sandwich, salad, and a fountain drink.“

“Last night we had the gyro, the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and the wings. The gyro was fantastic! It was stuffed with meat, veggies, and a flavorful tzatziki sauce. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes, which was the special of the evening, was a personal size, top glazed meatloaf set in a mound of homemade mashed potatoes with a wonderful gravy. It was flavorful and filling. The wings were huge and juicy. We had the honey habanero sauce which was amazing. We highly recommend West Ave Tavern for a fantastic meal, drinks and atmosphere.“

“My husband and I got a night out on our own and ended up here. We started with the pickle fries and drinks. He had a peanut butter old fashion, and I went with the Dark & Stormy. I'm a fan of Gosling's Black Seal and was pleasantly surprised to see it on the menu. For our entrees, he got the Reuben and I had the Shroomin' Burger. We love seeing that they use The Farmer's Rail for their burgers - delicious, locally-raised meats. For dessert, I saw the creme brulee on the menu. it turned out to be a mango creme brulee! Such a delicate mango flavor, creamy, not overly sweet. Great service, great food... We'll definitely be back for nights out!“

“Overall, a very consistent establishment. I love the cauliflower appetizer and the smash burger. Happy hour deals are great. Service has been a bit more hit or miss lately, which may be due to staffing. Just longer waits for food and servers checking in less, but overall still a spot in our regular rotation for food and drinks.“
