“We have been coming here for years. Their food quality and service has always been consistently great. My kids love the shrimp lo mein. I get wonton soup and chicken with broccoli. My husband has tried quite a few dishes and always enjoys his meal. We love supporting this family run local business.“

“I'm a person who is extremely biased by reviews before trying a new place. The reviews for Lin's wok are beyond wrong. The food is REALLY good and honestly, more homemade and healthier than your average cheap Chinese place. I only order chinese from here, and never have had a bad experience. I 100% recommend the sesame beef, chicken and vegetables and fried rice. The springrolls and crabrangoons are soo good too!“

“We love the food and the owner! The owner had also owned Fortune which used to be in the same shopping center before it was redone (10+ years ago). “Ordered Shrimp dumplings and Dynamite Shrimp for appetizers. The food good was good but lacked flavor. Not salty but was kind of overpowering.

For main course, ordered Singapore noodles which was good again a bit salty and tasted a bit like raw curry powder. At least one person in the group didn’t think so.
Kung Pao chicken was good but not the same as they used to make it. Just lacked flavor.
We also got the bone in and boneless Korean fried chicken. My vote goes to the bone in chicken. I think the best of all things we ordered.
Service was excellent as always.

When I order delivery, they always pack the noodles and soup separately, so when I get home, the noodles are still perfectly chewy.Their Dan Dan hand stretch noodle is honestly the best noodle dish I’ve ever had. If you usually order stir-fried noodles, definitely upgrade to the hand pulled noodle— it’s on another level! “We ordered take out so we can't rate the atmosphere. My husband had wor sue gai and I had spicy lo mein with chicken. Generous serving size and best we've had in years. “I have been ordering delivery from here for over a decade. Before Door Dash and all that. I have never stepped foot inside their store so I cannot rate atmosphere. What I can rate is the exceptional delivery service and friendly staff I encounter. The food is pretty good for short order Chinese food. I have had most of the popular items and many of my obscure favorites. But back to the service.. The food is always delivered HOT! Fresh and quick. I literally burnt my tongue on the Veggie Soup I just ordered (saying this just to show how fast they are). And best of all is my order is 99.9% accurate! Even special requests. It goes without saying that I will continue ordering from here unless something crazy happens. Fine establishment and customer focused! Great work GCE! Keep it up. Editing to add a few other thoughts...The prices are very fair based on portions. And my go to items are the Chicken Teriyaki appetizer #6. The Fried Dumplings, and the Kung Pao Chicken Extra Spicy. The Veggie Soup is very flavorful. And believe it or not... Their fried chicken wings are meaty, crispy and good price! I will order a few orders of them then toss em in homemade buffalo sauce or other sauces. Boom! Great for weekend football gatherings.“

“It doesn’t get much better for a local family Chinese place than this. I have been eating here for at least 20 years and it’s always tasty and fresh. The egg rolls and Rangoon are great. The Mongolian beef is a personal favorite but I also love the fried rice. A particularly amazing batch of pork fried rice inspired this review tonight. The prices are good and the service is great. Do yourself a solid and give them a try sometime.“

“Just walking in and I knew it was gonna be good. They don't waste money on decor. The staff were friendly and the food seemed authentic. Definitely different than most American knock offs.

We got 3 dishes:

The stir fry ramen was good. Perfect lunch fair and great for little mouths.

The squid had great flavor and was pleasantly spicy.

The tofu was very spicy but was missing something. Not sure what but seemed lacking.

I appreciated my ice water but the husband got the walovi. It was pleasant and herbal.

All of these dishes are easily shareable so a great place for a lunch date.“

“Was in Columbus for a concert and I walked a few blocks here for dinner. I didn’t see sweet and sour shrimp on the menu (only chicken & pork) and asked if they served it. They whipped me up an off-menu speciality on the spot. And it was terrific! Huge shrimp in a delicious sauce, big chunks of green pepper, etc. Their egg rolls were also nice and crunchy which I love and that seems to be harder to find anymore at places I try. The woman working was watching soap operas or something at full volume but I had earbuds in and was too distracted by the tasty meal to mind. Super good meal and wish I lived closer as I’d love to have it again“

“Four of us went here for carryout as we needed the last minute meal. We all got different things and most of it was good. I got the wor su gai which was nothing like I've ever had anywhere. I order this dish a lot at various Chinese restaurants, but this one had like a breaded chicken and the sauce was not the yellow or brown gravy it tasted like a teriyaki sauce and it looked like teriyaki sauce. It was good but in no way tasted like wor su gai. I thought the egg rolls were good as well. The lady was very nice at the restaurant and thanked us numerous times for the business. And she threw in a egg drop soup and everybody's to go order and wrote free on the lid. I don't eat that soup. so it just want to waste on me, but it was very nice that she did that. I would maybe try it again, but get something different. They were a little slow, but not bad.“

“Yeah its a whole in the wall but don't the hole in the walls or mom and pops be the best places in da world . “We went to the Ace of Cups to watch a performance by Galactic Empire yesterday and we're hungry so we went across the street to Northeast Chinese restaurant. This little hidden spot for most folks turned out to be some of the best Chinese food that I have eaten in my life and I have eaten Chinese food all over the world. The portions are huge, the price is good and the staff very friendly. I recommended anybody traveling through Columbus that might want some good Chinese food, to look this place up and go there and eat.“

We were surprised that the place had been closed for quite some time as it was our go-to place for Chinese takeout. It has been a staple for Marcus theatre area for many many years. It finally reopened under new ownership, but no sign.

The owner was there to greet us and show us the menu. Very nice guy and felt welcomed. We ordered the orange chicken, bokchoy dish, and chicken egg roll. Food was hot and the bokchoy was our favorite dish. Orange chicken wasn't the best but wasn't bad either (would get again). My only gripe is that the prices are similar to a sit-down full-service restaurant and not your typical take-out Chinese food prices. While I would love to come here again the price is way too high for us as we like to go get a quick meal before a movie, etc. I get it the prices need to be adjusted to match inflation/food costs but the price point before new ownership was so good.

All in all, I do want to try the other dishes as the food was good but it won't be on a regular basis as the prices are not competitive with traditional TOGO Chinese places.

“This is my first time trying Halal China Bistro and I am not mad I took the 25 minute drive each way. The lady was nice and the portions were plentiful. I started eating before I realized I hadn't taken a picture. The bourbon chicken and the rest of the dishes were tasty. The rice was a cross between fried and white with no veggies inside of it.“

Pepper steak was very tasty rice was cooked perfect green peppers were cooked perfectly as were the onions and every part of the pepper steak was proportioned evenly, some places will throw an abnormal amount of onions in the mix to try and save a buck.

“The Dragon House is recommend on several of the "best of" sites. Many of the sites write about the delicious food and the large portions for a reasonable price. What impressed us the most was the wonderful waitress. She answered our questions and carried on a conversation throughout our meal. We plan to go back to visit her as much as try sometime else on the menu.“

“We love this place! My husband and I have been here a number of times over the years, and it has always had a warm and inviting atmosphere with really great food. We’ve had all the broth options, and they are all flavorful and comforting (although chicken mushroom is my fav). The meats are good quality, and the amount you get for the money is pretty good.

Lately we have been going back for the soup dumplings which are made fresh to order and worth the wait. We’ve had both the chicken and pork, and both are delicious.

Staff is always super friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is clean and well kept. Go try it!“

“The whole experience is one you're in search of when you want that typical Chinese food experience in America. The faded signs, loud coolers, customer service that is very direct with no frills. Cheap tasty general tsos that was whipped up in the same wok as all the other dishes. Sure, they need some updates, but if it didn't have that old worn in charm to begin with, I'd have never even gone.“
