“I got stuck in the snow a little while ago and this gentleman helped me out little do I know it was the head chef for this restaurant. I was walking home from the science center and it got freezing so I ducked into there. They gave me bread and tea and water and it's really nice and I'm gonna get a pizza from there. “I’ve been coming here for a few years for breakfast and lunch. They provide the true American diner experience. Staff is very friendly and attentive, even when usually very busy for lunch service. Very menu option I’ve tried has been great. The country fried steak is delicious and a fan favorite with our group. Their knockout burger is phenomenal as well. You can taste the quality of the meat and ingredients they use. Do yourself a favor (and a laugh) and tip the kitchen! Keep up the great work.“

“this columbus-based chain has a lot to offer in terms of flavor and vegan options. despite being a build-your-bowl concept, it still feels high-end. everything from dressing salad to baking pita in a stone oven is done in front of you. the menu is clearly labeled, and staff are happy to inform you if something contains dairy. my go-to is a salad bowl with falafel, hummus, dressed cucumbers, red cabbage, beets, marinated eggplant, cauliflower topped with zhug, and of course, a side of freshly baked pita :) other options include vegan tahini chocolate chip cookies and french fries with a wide array of drinks. “Despite it being super busy for Valentine's Day, the wait staff and kitchen were very timely and checked in with us routinely. The food was seriously delicious and we were glad we tried the pretzels and vegan cheese app out. We had never had lamington cake before and found it was definitely a filling dessert that split well with our little family. Hoping to come back again and try some more things out on the menu. 😊“

“My company held a retreat and workshop in the Tasting Room in February of 2026 and it was absolutely fantastic. The service staff was extremely friendly and made sure coffee, beverages, and snacks were always stocked. The meals they prepared for us were incredible - ask for the mac & cheese. And then, at the end of our work event, we had a happy hour right there in the room with some of the best beers in Cleveland. If you're looking for a place to have a work event, I HIGHLY suggest you call GLBC!“

The Cookies and Creme is a classic done right, with big chunks of cookie in every bite. And the Caramel Fudge Brownie is pure indulgence: sweet, fudgy, and absolutely delicious.

“A great place to grab a slice or two for a good lunch! All pizzas include some fresh basil slices and are finished with grated cheese

I tried out 3 pizzas, the sauce vodka on the vodka pizza wasn’t as spicy as I would have wanted but both it and the margarita were very good! But the real star of the show was the white pizza. The ricotta is wonderful and the honey is applied juuuust right as to not overpower any of the great tastes.

We were in Cleveland for the night, and Balance was close to where we were staying so I decided to give it a try. The girl working at the counter was AMAZING! She was so helpful and super interactive with my son, literally mirroring his excitement. I know this is something small, but I have worked in the service industry and I know how infrequent it is to get positive feedback. I’m sorry I didn’t catch the girl’s name (she was tall with long blonde hair), but she was fantastic and really made us feel welcome. The restaurant was also super clean and all the employees were working hard.“

As someone who is personally not a fan of Guinness pours in glasses that don’t meet the Guinness glass standard, this glass and pour is superior to your run of the mill American pint glass. Reasonably priced. Perfect pour. Amazing atmosphere. 11/10 would recommend. The wine spot??? Also could be considered an Irish pub!“
