“Mom's Birthday Dinner Celebration!!! The whole team was outstanding from the GM, Chef, and Sous Chef! What wonderful food! We had three appetizers and three different entrees. Everything was carefully prepared and the highest quality. Stellar service from the minute we stepped in to the last goodbye. Can't recommend this establishment enough! CLE don't sleep on the gem of a place. We will be back!“

“Had the pleasure of dining here tonight. Everything from our server Shannon to the food was outstanding!

To drink I had a Love Language, which Shannon recommended! It's made with their house cucumber vodka. It was very refreshing!

For dinner, chicken breast that wasn't dry, seasoned well and easily cut with a butter knife! Collards and Mac and cheese were good as well!

For dessert, we has a banana creme brulee. I'm very picky about creme brulee, but this was perfection!

“Edit: it's clean now! The pizza here is so good, we have been here several times and will definitely be back. I hesitate to recommend this place because it is just so dirty in here. They make little effort to wipe the tables or sweep the floor during service. The trash piles up right by clean service items. You have to bring your own wipes to clean off a sticky table if you want to dine in.“

“I’ve been in the business of selling and tasting food for the last 17 years, and this by far is the most impressive menu I have ever encountered. The tomato basil pasta was one of the most flavorful pastas I’ve had, and my first ever poke bowl left me speechless. The cilantro aioli on the poke bowl has got to be one of the best sauces I’ve tasted. I am thoroughly impressed.“

“OK. I checked this place out last year and I was sorely disappointed. But they have completely changed their tune...er, taste. The curry chicken has a nice spicy taste. The cabbage has good flavor and a unique (at least to me) different presentation (sliced up real thin). And they give HUGE portions! I'm talking "can't shut the lid" portions! Man, they have Jamaican-style plantains - they sweet style. I have another favorite Jamaican spot which I have been going to for almost twenty-five years. If Jamerican keeps up what I experienced today, they may end up taking the gold.“

Since this place is located within Van Aken District there is plenty of space to sit and enjoy especially in the warmer months so the atmosphere is nice. The bathroom has always been clean everytime I've used it and they even have just a small sink outside of the bathroom if you only need to wash your hands. This place is a little bit on the pricer side but I think its worth it as it is healthier and fresher and a lot of their utensils and napkins and bowls are made from recycled materials and is some are compostable. If you like Mediterranean food in a Chipotle style way then I recommend this place!“

“As a gluten free diner, I’m always on the lookout for new pizza spots and I must say that the pizza at GVBC is one of the best I’ve had. Specifically their dill pickle pizza could probably win some awards. And the gluten free crust? I could barely tell it was gluten free. I will absolutely be coming back for more!“

“I live about 90 min from Cleveland, and my 8 year old has been begging me to take him somewhere to try bubble tea for weeks now. We were in Cleveland for the night, and Balance was close to where we were staying so I decided to give it a try. The girl working at the counter was AMAZING! She was so helpful and super interactive with my son, literally mirroring his excitement. I know this is something small, but I have worked in the service industry and I know how infrequent it is to get positive feedback. I’m sorry I didn’t catch the girl’s name (she was tall with long blonde hair), but she was fantastic and really made us feel welcome. The restaurant was also super clean and all the employees were working hard.“

As someone who is personally not a fan of Guinness pours in glasses that don’t meet the Guinness glass standard, this glass and pour is superior to your run of the mill American pint glass. Reasonably priced. Perfect pour. Amazing atmosphere. 11/10 would recommend. The wine spot??? Also could be considered an Irish pub!“
