“We are from Texas and had to visit Columbus for my husbands job. We came here for dinner this past Thursday evening and the service was amazing. I had a very cranky baby and several of the waitstaff offered to get her a variety of different things to make her happy. I really appreciated that. I ordered the fried pickles and the fish and shrimp. The pickles were SPEARS which made me very happy as I love me some fried pickles but I can’t get spears anywhere around here. The fish and shrimp were hot and fresh and so crispy. Beer was ice cold and I left fat and happy! Thanks again for being so kind and understanding with my baby girl!“

“Windward Passage was a fantastic experience!! Our server Emma was top notch! We loved the nautical theme. We visited to (silently) celebrate my birthday. I had the Oysters on the half shell (large plump, meaty, not gritty), King Crab legs (sweet, firm), Lobster tail (South African, cold water tail - large, plump, sweet, tender, juicy), Clam chowder (average, but good). My partner (not the seafoodie) opted for chicken fingers and fries. We loved the casual (not posh/stuffy) vibe. Emma was on top of EVERYTHING even having a few other table near us. She was not pushy in regard to time or up-selling. All of our requests were fulfilled. The dinner from course to course was timed perfectly. Winward Passage even provided a couple elements we haven't experienced in quite a while.“

“Went on Valentine’s Day without reservations. Were told a 45 minute wait for a table, or immediate seating at the bar. We chose to sit at the bar. Our waiter Maurice was quick to provide service and very friendly and informative. We both ordered the pacific combo and it was delivered in probably 10 minutes! It was outstanding and we were so stuffed we couldn’t even finish it, all the crab legs were filled with meat (never got an empty one) and everything was exceptional. “We had a 630 reservation and valentine's day and we're not seated until 7. The lobby was jammed with people waiting to be seated but had no where else to go. We also stood and watched as multiple people that got to the restaurant after us, were seating before us. We also were not compensated for anything.“

“I went there twice, once with a friend and the second time again with the same friend and my brother-in-law and both experiences were great. They have amazing food. I don’t usually eat much meat, but I tried their lamb chops and they were delicious with every bite, a great way to get some vitamin B12. We also had asparagus and cheesy kale, and both were very tasty and felt like healthy options.

It is a bit expensive, but it’s definitely worth spending that kind of money once in a while for such delicacies. I would highly recommend people dine there. Both times, the waiters were super friendly, knowledgeable, respectful, and happy to answer any questions.“

I won’t change the stars because I don’t want to bring down the overall rating, but unfortunately I won’t eat here anymore. The change in the chicken leaves much to be desired. Aesthetically, I prefer my chicken in whole discernable pieces - not chopped up into a bunch of nuggets. I am not sure if it tastes the same because the look alone turned me off. My husband ate some and the rest was thrown away. So sad as we really love this restaurant.

The food is AMAZING!!! I drive 30 minutes one way and have done so the last three days in a row. I really have no words to describe how delicious it is. I order the Jollof chicken with rice and an extra side of chicken. The chicken marinade/seasonings 😩 — I am hooked! I also get the Egusi soup with yam fufu and an extra order of fufu, along with an order of plantains. I have been eating here for about a year now - when they were at old location. I had just moved to the area and was so happy to have found them. To top it off- the owner is such a sweet lady! She makes you feel like family! Try them, you won’t go anywhere else after you do!“

Today I met a friend there for dinner and we got Ismaelas a server. He got mad at us because our drinks weren't right. All we did was ask for something different. He did not like that. We got our new drinks after about 10 minutes. We ordered our food and he even repeated back to us what we were ordering as he was writing it down. Once our food came mine had onions and pico. Neither of which I eat. We waited a few minutes for him to come back around and I told him about my issue. He looked mad that I did not want the onions on my food. Literal just gave me a dirty look.I told him to just take it back and I do not need a replacement. My friend did eat his tacos. He didn't come back over to our table for a while. My buddy ran out of his drink for maybe 15-20 minutes. We told the lady at the counter but she didn't seem to care. Hopefully someone does. I've brought a lot of people to this establishment and I myself have spent a ton of money there bringing my family of 5. Ive left good reviews and always spoke highly of this place. I've always bragged about how they have it figured out. Well, today has somewhat ruined it for me. Never once were we rude or out of line. I'm guessing Ismael was having a bad day. Maybe I'll come back later in the future, maybe not. That's sucks because I really like their food.“

“Blue Agave Mexican Restaurant! Don Rolando el jefe de tortillas! .... this Chef makes fresh tortillas for his guest. He told me the story of how his grandma would make fresh tortillas and slide him one or two before dinner as a kid. He would add a little water and salt roll it into a ball and eat it before anyone would notice. This act of love and family traditions has now made it to your table. “I ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and some hot chicken wings. The pizza was fine the wings were horrible very wet without hot sauce It seems like they pour water in a hot sauce bottle shake it up and then pour it on the chicken because the chicken had no taste but you can smell the hot sauce. My son and I were confused about how the chicken was so wet but didn't see any hot sauce on the chicken. I don't know what type of sauce that was but it was horrible No flavor and just watery.“
