Like past visits, were warmly greeted when we entered Pho Sam. The owner (now, Uncle) made the rounds and connected with every guest as he always does. I briefly shared that my son was not feeling well and how Dad used to take us for pho on those sickly days. That I was too tired to make my own pho at home. Plus, I wanted my son to remember the Asian side of his heritage, because we have good and healing food. Yes, we have good food.

Uncle left us to eat when the food arrived ... And THEN ... he did the unthinkable, the sweetest, most unexpected thing. He topped up my broth! Because the broth. Something my Dad would a
do, him being a soup and brothy kind of guy.

Thank you, Uncle for this small act of care. The food you serve is the best in town, but more importantly the way you show care to your patrons is something special and something to write home about. Unknowingly, you came through as my loving Dad, unbeknownst. Someone, I've been missing terribly.

Next time, a cold or flu makes its round around here, we know where we are going to find comfort, honour tradition & heritage, and create new memories.“

“In the 20+ years I've been going to Pho Saigon's Pickering Location. Never had bad service, food is always on point. The staff and owner(s) are awesome. What used to be a meet up with friends and coworkers once in awhile, has in recent years become a weekly spot for me to eat, relax, and enjoy great food and conversation with the awesome FoH staff

“Food is very good, timing of meals with a larger party was not ideal, everyone got served at different times, food and beverages.Iit was good food, the broths were very tasty and I would say very decent portions of wontons and meats for the dishes, noodles and stir-fry. Server was very polite, but very quiet, at certain times was difficult to hear over background noises. Was very clean, but decor was out of place, and Atmosphere was just off, not bad at all, but not fitting.“
