“Lived in the GTA previously and always stopped in at Second Cup but they've all but disappeared there years ago. Live in Ottawa now and it's nice the see them again. Stopped in there today after about 20 years for an amazing cup of coffee and banana loaf.

“I’ve been coming here at least 1-2 times a week, and I can easily say they have the best, most fresh, and most reasonably-priced sushi in Ottawa! The owners are very nice and welcoming, they always greet every customer with a smile. ?I got the platters for a birthday party, which were a hit with the guests.I’ve never seen salmon and tuna this fresh in Ottawa. I usually go for the specialty rolls or tacos. I love the variety of the menu and how filled the tacos are.Highly recommend using their Google form to order since it’s quick, easy to use, and has all the menu items on there.“

This may seem like an odd thing to say, but it was really great that they made sure they rented an accessible portable washroom for their large market event. As I was sporting crutches (I recently broke my ankle), it was a total life saver that I didn’t need to take the stairs! Not sure if the port-a-potty is an “always” thing, but just the fact that they had it for their street market when so many folks wouldn’t even think of it made me grateful. “Not many places im a regular at, this place is amazing - I come here every week for a breakfast sandwich and a mollases spice latte. Price is incredibly fair ! Sandwich is perfection! and service is always quick! Price difference between a small latte and large is so close i always get the bigger one, they make their own syrups & they are so good. The girls who work here are always super friendly and smile when I come in! I also love that they have water that isself-serve, I have a routine - order, drink a big glass of water - orders ready. Its the best. Super convenient location! Same positive experience at their bank street location ♡ keep it up!“

“Thimble Cakes is an eclectic bakery that offers vegan ice cream and a variety of baked goods. I had two cupcakes: carrot cake and brookie. For being gluten-free, both were incredibly moist. Also, the frosting on top was creamy and light. I would definitely return for some ice cream or anything from their extensive amount of baked goods.“

Donuts would benefit from being a bit warmer, but they were both delicious with the apple fritter being the star of the show. You can get their coffee beverages either hot or cold and they do have cream, milk, and honey to add on the side. Cute pew seating and bright cafe makes for a great place to go to catch up with friends or read a book (when less busy).“

It is a pleasant surprise for me to find a “new” place that’s been around a while.
I noted Tom’s energy and passion for what he does. And Salyna rounded out the experience with her warm and inclusive demeanour. They make an amazing team.
Great house roasted coffee. Assorted house baked goods. An intimate patio. And a short walk to Commissioner’s Park (Tulip Festival) and Dow’s Lake.

They had delicious treats, but we got a regular hot chocolate and a small skimmed latte. The staff was super nice, and while the small latte was really tiny, the drinks were delicious.. “It seems to be the best value for money in expensive Ottawa. I heard from a local that they conquered Canada at a low price during the coronavirus pandemic. And I was surprised that it opened very early in the morning. There were so many people that I had to wait in line, but I never thought it would be like this. I also enjoyed a simple breakfast of latte and maple donuts, feeling like a local. I usually don't eat sweets, but since I'm in Canada, I was craving something with maple syrup, and since I was on a business trip, my sugar level kept dropping, so I raised my blood sugar in the morning.“
