“Stopped in here yesterday. I’m from out of town but try to get here when I’m in the area. Well The Slapshot did not disappoint at all. Sat the bar and bartender Erin made me feel very welcome. Told her treat kind of been liked and she recommended a local beer from Prince Eddy’s in Picton. The beer, food and service was excellent. Erin was very professional and friendly. Hope to return here again soon. CHERRS!!!”

The Belleville store didn't disappoint us .. every one of us were extremely pleased with our food. The service - Janice - was quick, friendly, and efficient. Two of our number were from the USA and one raved about how well his chicken was cooked .. not dry at all. I loved my hot chicken sandwich, with baked potato, & veggies - the gravy was delish - and though I don't normally eat all of one of those and take half home for the next day, I demolished most of it.”

“Finally got around to checking out L'auberge de France. Lovely little cafe and bakery in the heart of downtown Belleville. Stepping in, you really get a transformation to a quaint French cafe and patisserie. Small place with tables for eating in. Breads, sandwiches, quiches, tarts, and desserts available. Also pre made frozen quiches and tarts available for takeout. Various varieties of croissants are baked every Saturday. L'auberge de France is really a gem of a place in Belleville and would be in any city. Parking could be a challenge as limited spots along Front Street. I did find a parking lot close by that did not appear to have any parking restrictions, where I parked. If you are in the city, I would say this is a destination place. Highly recommended to check out!”

“We travel around the Quinte area for a meal out at a restaurant from areas Campbellford to Picton to Kingston to Coburg for a weekend meal out. We have always come back here for the great tasting Fish and Chips. We have a great time conversing with the staff and most of all is the greatest tasting foods. The fish & chips were done just right and not greasy to the taste. Our time was not wasted when it comes to enjoying a meal out and we have been looking forward to being able to return to dining-in with other people who enjoy a meal out. We have been coming here since it opened and have given up a number of other Fish and Chips eateries just to stop in here for the best food of the sea and chowder. Try their foods and enjoy the atmosphere. They have accessible parking for the disabled as well and entry into their building. Enjoy!!!”

I understand paying HST, but an additional service charge is disappointing. I will remember to bring cash next time I visit.”

“My husband and I recently ate at the Thai Express in Belleville. As soon as we walked up to the counter we were greeted by happy employees who did an excellent job helping us choose our lunch. I had the Singapore Pad Thai was delicious and my husband had the Pad See Ew. They were both delicious. We will be going back to Thai Express Belleville for more delicious Thai food. I highly recommend Thai Express Belleville.”

She was very polite, friendly, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. She attended to every customer with patience and professionalism, making sure everyone’s order was prepared correctly.

“We have never been more embarrassed and humiliated in all of our existence. We are away on a mini family vacation and discovered they have a Mr Puffs location here. We had been to the one in Whitby and had a great experience. Tonight the staff on more less made us feel like we were trying to scam them for $19.65 the transaction said approved on the machine and we showed him the transaction on the banking app to where it shows it came out and they pretty much held the puffs hostage and were doubting us making us feel like we were liars and thieves. Their demeanor was totally unprofessional and they were unpleasant. In all my years of dining out I have never faced a situation like the one tonight. We ended up calling the bank on top of showing them the transaction at which point the banking rep advised that in fact the transaction did go through. This back and forth went on for over 10 to 15 mins, the puffs we ended up getting were not one bit fresh and sat there in the tray for God knows how long before we got there which is a total no no as the owner in Whitby told and showed us the process. I will never enter this establishment again, no apology, no nothing but two staff with 0 people skills. How many other people have the tried doing this too? telling them the transaction wasn't approved when in fact it was. This was wrong on every level, and I have most definitely contacted head office about the lack of professionalism on both staff! My daughter was with us which made it 10 times worse to be doubted to the level we were. Whether it went through or whether it didn't though (WHICH IT DID) customers are always suppose to be treated like they are right no matter what, u should learn a thing or two about customer service before opening up a business where you have to directly deal with the public numerous times per day and should know that things won't always run smoothly. Thanks for ruining our great evening, at the end you should of given us fresh Puffs not hard ones and you most definitely should of apologized after the banking rep verified the transaction was successful!!!”

The burgers have a homemade, freshly cooked feel that I really enjoy, and the portions of fries are always generous. The fries are freshly cut, and that's something I pay attention to because I'm pretty picky when it comes to burgers and fries. What keeps me coming back is the consistency. Every visit has been just as good as the last.

If you're looking for simple, good-quality food at a fair price, it's definitely worth stopping in. I'll be continuing to visit regularly.”

“Best donairs around! They don't use typical donair meat that you find in most places, the meat is 100% beef not the beef and lamb mixture you usually find. These donairs are made like you would find on the East coast including the sauce! The sauce is very sweet, before adding it to your donair ask if you could try it or put it on the side! I personally don't like the sweet sauce but many people do!

They offer several sizes ranging from something you can hold in 1 hand to massive need 2 hands to hold it! Donairs can be a little messy especially the really big ones so best you eat it while sitting. Do not attempt to drive and eat donairs.

Staff are extremely nice and helpful! Other items are also available like donair egg rolls, donair bites, they also have kits for sale that you can take and make at home!”
