“Finally got around to checking out L'auberge de France. Lovely little cafe and bakery in the heart of downtown Belleville. Stepping in, you really get a transformation to a quaint French cafe and patisserie. Small place with tables for eating in. Breads, sandwiches, quiches, tarts, and desserts available. Also pre made frozen quiches and tarts available for takeout. Various varieties of croissants are baked every Saturday. L'auberge de France is really a gem of a place in Belleville and would be in any city. Parking could be a challenge as limited spots along Front Street. I did find a parking lot close by that did not appear to have any parking restrictions, where I parked. If you are in the city, I would say this is a destination place. Highly recommended to check out!”

I loved my hot chicken sandwich, with baked potato, & veggies - the gravy was delish - and though I don't normally eat all of one of those and take half home for the next day, I demolished most of it.”

“Seems ridiculous to say but they made the best egg McMuffin I’ve ever had- cheesy, crisply toasted English muffin and lots of perfectly cooked egg. Iced coffee -perfect concentration! “I have noticed the bathrooms are clean for a change. Today I notice the young lady, cleaning which I have seen a few times cleaning the bathroom. I commented on how clean the bathroom was and asked her if this was her job lately. She said yes. She truly is a sweet young girl. She definitely makes wanting to use the bathroom easier. Except your company schedules her on a busy time of the day and she is rushed. But this not being her fault. It is yours or the manager there. Sept 27 2023, at 9:15 am. Bay view Tim Hortons. We have always come back here for the great tasting Fish and Chips. We have a great time conversing with the staff and most of all is the greatest tasting foods. The fish & chips were done just right and not greasy to the taste. Our time was not wasted when it comes to enjoying a meal out and we have been looking forward to being able to return to dining-in with other people who enjoy a meal out. We have been coming here since it opened and have given up a number of other Fish and Chips eateries just to stop in here for the best food of the sea and chowder. Try their foods and enjoy the atmosphere. They have accessible parking for the disabled as well and entry into their building. Enjoy!!!”

I was originally going to pay with cash, but when I decided to pay debit I was not told but there was an extra custom charge added to my order, I did not notice until I checked my e-receipt after the fact at home. The owner is a local guy who is active in community charities and that goes a long way with me. “I was so happy when I discovered this gem of a store. Now a regular, l stock up two weeks worth of frozen dumplings and stew. When I come to shop I have a quick bite, Japanese shushi freshly made on Friday and Saturday’. Enjoying spicy foods, I pick up hot sauce and also Kimchi. Living one hour away, it is my primary destination every two weeks. The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.”

“I finally had the chance to visit Bayleaf Indian Restaurant after having it on my radar for quite a while, and it absolutely lived up to the anticipation. One of the things that drew me in was their wide range of vegan options. Two friends joined me who are not vegan, and it was great that the menu easily accommodated all of us. Everyone left happy and very well fed. We arrived toward the end of the evening so the restaurant was quiet, which made for a relaxed experience. Our server was incredibly friendly and clearly proud of both the restaurant and the food. After tasting the dishes, it was easy to see why. Everything we ordered was fresh, vibrant, and packed with flavour. We tried several dishes that were completely new to us and every single one was delicious. The vegan options were fantastic. The tandoori mushrooms were brilliant, the masala papad was amazing, and the sev tomato was incredibly flavorful. The vegetable biryani was unlike any I’ve had before, full of fresh garden vegetables and beautifully seasoned. Even the tandoori roti stood out. Soft, warm, and perfect for scooping up every last bite. You could taste the authenticity in every dish. The food felt thoughtfully prepared and freshly made.
