First interesting thing was placing my order for pickup. I honestly though I was speaking to an AI bot. The experience was positive, but I assume English was not their first language and they had a slight robotic tone, so it threw me off when I met the guy in person, who was quite busy but still very courteous.

The food portions were adequate for the price, but more important was the taste was above average - and this is coming from my family that are Brits who love their fish n chips. So it looks like Thisle will be one of our new first choices.“

We started with a crisp Caesar salad (the only one I've ever had that I can say compete with my father's - even Dad agreed) and a beautifully balanced Caprese salad with the freshest basil, both savoury and well-executed. Even the bread and butter were exceptionally phenomenal—a simple yet telling detail of the kitchen’s commitment to quality. For mains, the halibut was perfectly tender, the rack of lamb with scallops rich and flavourful, and the filet mignon flawlessly cooked with a peppercorn sauce that was absolute perfection. Each dish showcased precision and top-quality ingredients, all complemented by a bold, complex 2013 Brunello Monticiano. A silky crème brûlée and expertly crafted Spanish coffees was the ultimate indulgence to finish this exceptional meal. “Have been coming to Oakville Hakka house since last 2 years and the taste of the food is always consistent and stayed the same since. My favs here are the Szechuan chicken noodles and their sizzlers and American chop Suey is a must try. Will definitely recommend giving them a try.“

“Definitely going back old school here. Felt a little like pulp fiction with Zedd as my server. Anyway, good food and priced ok would have expected it to be cheaper. Type of place and crowd who mind their own business and know one another. Not the cheapest place but I like my hot hamburger and the all day breakfast/lunch menus are a nice option“
