“Went for dinner tonight with a good friend who had never been to Rise Above Pizza and Wings before, so we tried a little bit of everything. Sweet potato fries and the delicious sesame slaw paired with an order of wings in two flavours (maple garlic and Sriracha lime, yum!), plus the Carbonara Pizza at the recommendation of Spencer, our server. Every bite of the meal was amazing, especially the crispy texture of the wings and the creamy balance of the pizza sauce. Spencer took the whole experience to the next level though with their sparkling energy, attentiveness and friendliness from our entry all the way to perfectly divided bills at the end. The food was amazing and the service took the whole experience to the next level - can't wait to come back!“

“When I found out about Indonesian’s Flavour I was a bit hesitant but I tried their food and was surprised and happy that I did not have to travel far such as to Mississauga or Toronto to eat satay , nasi goreng or rendang , etc . It is all in the Hammer /Farmer’s market . Hamilton is lucky to have Indonesian cuisine , which can come to you mild or really spicy . …You just have to ask . Now if we can only ask them to get a bigger restaurant with lots of chairs and tables for a truly good and yummy dining experience !“

“What a lovely place to celebrate (early) Valentine’s Day! The menu was fun and everything was served fresh with great care and thought. The owner continuously checked up on us which made us feel super welcomed! The Nashville Hot Chicken was a bit too crispy for my liking, but that was quickly set right by a complementary basque cheesecake with burnt caramel (which may be the best we’ve ever had). The atmosphere is so thoughtfully decorated and beautiful and everything is spotless. The service was also great, of course. The cocktails were another highlight; we thoroughly enjoyed the passion fruit martini and winter colada. I would give 6 stars if I could!“

The front of the restaurant is full of tables and couches in a dog-friendly area. All food and prep areas are in a separate section where animals are not allowed.
Very clean and the food is excellent! They make a great London Fog, and their blueberry Breakfast Cookie is amazing!“

The food was amazing... in fact, several people commented to me that it was the best food that they had ever been served at a wedding. I couldn't agree more! As someone whose career took her to many rubber chicken dinner events, I know how remarkable it is to be served really good food at a large banquet....and it is even more remarkable that you were able to do this in the middle of a major snowstorm. As the mother of the bride, I really appreciated the warmth and friendly consideration that you showed to my daughter both in the planning and delivery of her wedding meal. You are five-star in my book!!“

Love the chili crisp, and the spicy sesame ramen, very tasty broth and generous bowl of soup, so comforting and filling.
The karaage chicken could use a pinch more salt but still tasty and crispy enough.
Staff is welcoming and pleasant.“

“We found ourselves in the very unfortunate situation of Nom Nom Food Truck leaving us without a menu 4 days before our wedding. Alex and Nal from Andiamo Italian - Food Truck absolutely saved the day! Alex was incredibly responsive, fair in price, and provided a flexible menu. Nal was the head chef the day of the event and the food was AMAZING! We received so many compliments on both the food and service. We’ll be calling these guys again for all future catering and food truck needs!“

“Took my 4 year old here for a P.A. day from school and he loved it. he has been asking to go back ever since. we played some great games, got some DND dice at a sweet price and a few miniatures to paint together at home. He enjoyed the milk and oreos and I the cold brews. Awesome place filled with awesome people, awesome games, awesome goodies, and sweet deals. Overall AWESOME! Thank you guys for doing what you do for the gaming community.“

“Fantastic food and great service. Ordered takeout on a whim while visiting from out of town and staying across the street. Some of the best lentil soup I’ve ever had! Loved that it was puréed.
Everything was fresh and delicious, and was ready quite fast. The portions were huge so we had a lot of leftovers to enjoy. If we are in the area we’ll be back!“

Nice options for treats to choose from, but I think my highlight was the service provided by the barista! I ordered a hot matcha latte and I saw her take her time in whisking the matcha while crafting the drink. It tasted wonderful and had no clumps at all.“

“I’ve been wanting to try Bernie’s for sometime now and I’m sure glad I got to today. The ambiance was a delight, the kitchen was busy with takeaway orders right when they opened and the bartender was nice. My pint of beer was nice and cold and my club sandwich was over the top awesome and left me feeling full. My girlfriend enjoyed the burger — which the beef patty looked house made- and my Caesar salad was made with fresh crunchy lettuce! We’ll definitely be back for more! Cheers!“

“I recommend the Locke St location which is excellent. But I just had delivery from either the King W or Dundas one that was brutal. Tortellini soup had like 3 Tortellinis and the burgers had clearly been pre cooked but not reheated tastied like cold grease and the cheese was not even remotely melted and still cold. Anyway the Locke location is awesome but wont do delivery again in case the delivery service goes to another location.“
